  1. Nope slowed down again! Might have to do testing locally and try restarting network etc too just to rule out everything.
  2. So drove down to server, took out 4 sticks of 4GB memory 2 from each cpu so now down to 32GB Loaded optimial default settings in bios to make sure nothing was changed by accident... Looks like everything working again. Did quick download check and was getting ~45MB/s in sabnzbd Could be all that time the issue was bad memory. I will do a few more checks and post back Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  3. Ok my bad, my VPN had disconnected I have access! Still super slow. Total size:12 TB Elapsed time:2 minutes Current position:1.06 GB (0.0 %) Estimated speed:10.1 MB/sec Estimated finish:13 days, 16 hours, 41 minutes Sync errors corrected:0
  4. Still no access, will have to leave it until tomorrow. I think it might be time for a update to date system. As iv started to see a few issues pop up. First X5690 upgrade didn't work, 2 memory dimms stopped working now slow performance which is making me think they might a fault with the board. [emoji848] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  5. Will Unraid OS Safe Mode (no plugins, no GUI) still give me access to webgui?
  6. is there a command I can run to restart into safe mode? Not got physical access at moment
  7. Dockers were stopped and had just vm running. Disabled VM and DOCKER still the same. Can see CPU running around 15-20%
  8. I have been suffering from a slow down which I thought was due to a new crucial cache ssd but had a power cut and parity check running at 10.5 MB/sec which is about 10th of its normal speed. My system is showing less ram for about a week and I think the issue with 2 dimm slots for CPU 2 but not sure why or even if it has an affect on parity check and general system being really slow. Does anything stand out in the diagnostics? Many thanks server-diagnostics-20200114-1815.zip
  9. Pretty sure it always been set to Yes and it just moves it to array when the SSD reaches 70% that was at least the case with the 240GB SSD. Looked at SSD Trim schedule and is set to run daily at 04:00 so hopefully it did run. Server been up and down due trying upgrade cpus which didn't happen If I set to prefer won't all downloads just stay on the cache drive? Tried but no faster screenshots added Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  10. 100% something not quite right, tried a quick check in Sabnzbd which all download write to cache and it seem to bottleneck around 7MB/s compared to the 45MB/s I normally get also the pystone score seems very low System performance (Pystone)5911 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E564… Download folder speed11.5 MB/s (/data/incomplete) Complete folder speed8 MB/s (/data/completed) server-diagnostics-20200113-2331.zip
  11. This SSD feels so painfully slow! I'm sure there is something wrong with it... Is there any simple test I can do just to write to the disk and see the speed? My Win10 VM is pretty much griding to a halt... And for some reason after restore appdata using CA plugin and moving all my system /domain folders to back to cache using PREFER in share settings I have had to redo my dockers but pulling them is taking forever... 12. Tried this, still didn't work tried the other options too. Super annoying. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  13. Ha! Already on latest firmware will see if I can send back but doubt I will get a response from seller on ebay. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  14. Im having same issue within 48 hours of swapping my Crucial 240GB SSD... Got mine in July but only installed now, will update firmware but will try to get RMA Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  15. I'm just backing up appdata from the SSD will perform firmware update but the last one was December 2018 and looks like people still having issues. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  16. Upgraded to my 240GB cache drive with a 1TB drive but now I have had the following alert Event: Unraid Cache disk SMART health [197] Subject: Warning [sERVER] - bogus current pend sect is 1 Description: CT1000MX500SSD1_1910E1EE9FE0 (sdm) Importance: warning It has returned to normal now but it seen this before? I probably bought it over 6 months ago so maybe a firmware update? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  17. Good spot looks like 2 sticks not showing. I will try later. Unraid now showing 40Gb RAM Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  18. Just my luck it didn't work, so now Iv put the 2 E5645 back in and it's working! Only thing I can think of is the X5690 aren't a matching pair Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  19. Omg just posted with the 2 E5645 Put I I put 3 stick of ram in blue slots. Going to swap to X5690 try get post then add extra ram! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  20. Yep I think the board must be at fault I'm waiting for a reply from Supermicro but not looking good. As they suggested to reinstall the bios. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  21. Changed the PSU, changed ram slots. Got fed up and decided I would go back to the original Xeon E5645 and same issue! It won't post with both! As it's refurbished server from ebay I don't know if Supermicro will be able to help but now its not a case of faulty cpus It's something preventing it from posting with processors Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  22. I have pair of Supermicro 800w server PSU which I can swap the 1200w. I will give that a try today but no other spare PSU that I can use.
  23. Got a response from Supermicro who have said there's very little they can do as it's an OEM board. But if if each socket works independently it could be a power issue. I have Supermicro 1200w redundant PSU. Plan of action remove all but 2 sticks of ram. If still having issue then either sell the x5690 on bay and keep old cpus or buy a different supermicro LGA1366 motherboard (any recommendations?) Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  24. Iv reached out to Supermicro and submitted a ticket. I can't test anything until the weekend now but im hoping a simple bios fix will the fix rather than having to replace motherboard. I might put the original cpus you back and just make sure 100% I'm not going mad. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  25. I just noticed only half my memory showing with one cpu. But with one cpu it doesn't matter what socket use will have to pull some sticks out. This was meant to be my last 2019 upgrade! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
