  1. System all up and running! Put a trial version on a usb and let it run for a few hours. Everything looks good. Any tips on moving usb and hdd to new system? Or should it just work? Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  2. Made some progress today, got motherboard and memory installed, didnt require the ATX extension cable and connected to front panel connections that could be connected. Just waiting for CPU to be delivered and a 4pin 3 way fan splitter Does anyone know if I can still connect the PE Pin to Power Supply I2C (JPI2C1) Assuming this is supermicro specific and not available on MSI motherboard. Before and After pic attached, also pic of fans I would like to replace with something better if anyone has any suggestions?
  3. Hi All, just placed an order for an i5 13500 and MSI B760 motherboard to install into a spare supermicro chassis I have. My current server is absolutely fine other than the power consumption so going to move away from the dual xeon I currently have which run constantly at around 150w New build is going to cost just over £500 and the plan is to install into the supermicro chassis get unraid tested using a trial licence and move pro licence and drives over once everything is running smoothly. Ordered a front panel cable extension from ebay Once moved over I am hoping for to cut the power use by half with a bit of luck but will see how it looks. The only other thing I am considering is 10GB nic to connect directly to my 10GB port on the Unifi Dream Machine SE. If anyone has any suggestions on what NIC to buy and use with DAC cable that would be great. This build will mean moving away from ECC I have tried to stick to £500 budget. Might go over if the stock cooler doesnt fit
  4. I am having a bit of an issue with using a windows 11 vm with gt 710 passthrough and a HDMI via cat6 KVM. It gets to the windows login page but then once I enter password I just get a blank screen. Cant figure out if its the template or something else. Seemed to be working before I added the USB keyboard / mouse to usb devices <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm'> <name>Windows 11 GFX</name> 5. Switched back to Virtual due seeing all cores assigned to VM hitting 100% for some reason.
  6. The reason I ask, is I finally after tried GPU passthrough on a WIN11 VM using a old GT710 I had laying around. Did a VBIOS dump, removed the headers passed it through, no code 43 error, latest drivers installed. All good I thought BUT I could swear the VM was better if not the exactly the same! Appreciate its an older card and I use a GTX1650 low profile for Plex but was expecting it to better. Youtube streams on my VM still judder and Core usage on unraid dashboard seems to go up a lot more. This was just a pre-test to make sure everything works but now I am thinking do I need to even bother. Baring in mind I dont game, use a bit of photoshop now and then and have managed for years with just using Virtual GFX. CPU is dual xeon X5690 with no igpu

  8. and if my magic its working again, not sure if its because I still had binhex container and I had the same settings in there but that was stopped. Either way now have my sundtek showing up as freeview and my old vu+ zero for freesat in plex
  9. Yes same adapter and using lsio. I will give it a try again and share diagnostics. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  10. I had a little play around but for some reason the adapter is detected in unraid but the blue activity light does come on. Tried the same adapter in my Vu+ Zero enigma2 box and the blue light comes on fine. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  11. Unable to plugin directly due to size and vga plug next to it. Tried another shorter extension cable but same. Anyone able to recommend a dual or greater pci card for dvbt2 but must be low profile to fit in 2u chassis Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  12. Yep I am using one! You might be right... Will try plugging directly into back of server.
  13. Hi it was showing as connected but after reboot it disappeared. Then after another reboot came back. I think it is a faulty device now. It is probably about 8years old and happen to find it again last week so thought I would try it.

  15. Hi started again from fresh it is now working!! Many thanks
  16. Unfortunately it didnt work, just tried with LSIO too but same. Nothing showing. Tried adding adapter0 too which is showed on the driver plugin page
  17. No in fact I read you need to have that but not sure how you have both if im honest
  18. Hi I am using Sundtek usb dvbt/c dongle single tuner and seem to have some issues with getting it detected. I have installed both dvb-drvers and sundtek-driver plugins and the adapter is detected and showing as Detected Adapters: adapter0 Set Extra Parameters: to "--device=/dev/bus/usb" and added extra path as suggested However it is still not showing up in binhex-tvheadend as a tuner. Do I need to delete one of the driver plugins or am I missing another step? Have rebooted server after driver install. server-diagnostics-20230419-1135.zip lsusb.txt dmesg.txt
  19. Very odd the support threads for drives suggest using /dev/bus/usb but it still not being detected within the docker. However is shown as adapter1 in the sundtek driver page. Have rebooted each time after installing dvb-drivers
  20. I am using the Sundtek Driver plugin I will try dvb-driver plugin instead
  21. Hi All How do I define extra parameter I tried --device=/dev/dvb however that is not a valid node. I have a Sundtek USB DVBT2/C tuner Apr 19 10:04:34 Server kernel: usb 2-2: new high-speed USB device number 7 using ehci-pci Bus 002 Device 007 Port 2-2ID 2659:1401 Sundtek MediaTV Digital Home III (EU) After installing the driver it says ATTENTION: Please don't forget to pass through the device: /dev/bus/usb --device=/dev/bus/usb However it is still not detected.
  22. Hi guys, probably a really dumb question but I have never used rclone before. Followed spaceinvaders video on youtube from 6 years ago and setup onedrive, mounted and can view using SMB. However if I understand this correctly, this is just direct mapping the drive. Similar to the onedrive app... What I am actually after is onedrive back up to my array. Is this possible...? Assuming I would need to create another separate script to copy /mnt/disks/onedrive to /mnt/user/shares/onedrive weekly?
  23. Yep that's good to know. Pretty sure anything that lives on cache drive is also backed up on array but will double check [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
