  1. So EPYC looks like it's out the picture but seen a few posts on reddit about Ryzen over the x5690 This seems to be a good post Willl look at what current pricing looks like.
  2. I have a spare 2U Supermicro chassis and looking to find a Motherboard + CPU + RAM for a budget of around £600 ish (used or refurbished) looking on ebay and UK market is pretty poor. There are some bundles for supermicro + EPYC from china but dont want to risk the import duty. Current system in use is in my SIG but essentially a DUAL XEON X5690 setup with DDR3 memory. Looking for something I can just put straight into existing chassis and the migrate all disks over to new system. 10gb networking would be nice but not essential and lower power consumption is always a bonus.
  3. Im in the UK [emoji636] Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  4. By the sounds of things I would probably be better getting hold of another 12TB in that case and start planning on moving some data of the 4TBs.
  5. I am in very similar position. I have a spare 12 bay 2u supermicro chassis with a damaged CPU1 socket on a X8DT3 motherboard. Can run perfectly fine with single cpu but want to upgrade it to something like Ryzen or EPYC but at the same time dont want to spend a fortune. Power consumption is big issue so looking for something more efficient than the Xeon X5690s I am currently running.
  6. Correct its 2U supermicro chassis with 12bays. All bays are populated and I have 1TB ssd connected to on board sata for cache drive.
  7. I will run smart against all the disk and pop it into excel for future reference too. None of the drives have any warnings against them and all showing as healthy. I think you are right, I didnt even consider a 2nd parity tbh. Either way will still need to pull a drive from the array. server-diagnostics-20220704-1618.zip
  8. So I have 12 bays and all full now, mixture of 4TBs and 12TB. I got another 12TB to replace a 4TB but not sure which one to replace. Just replace at random or is there a way to check which is oldest? All the 4TB drives are WD Reds but think 1 is a WD Green so maybe take that out?
  9. Luckily the container has been stopped for a long time. Will look up setting up reverse proxy but stopped getting alerts as soon as I disabled those ports and set unifi to detect and block. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  10. I am seeing the following message on my unifi router: possible network intrusion attempt from 138.99.216.228 has been detected and blocked. Learn more. Since 25 May it seems. Had a quick look and most if not all point to my unraid server port 8080 and 8443 which I used to port forward for the unifi controller docker and no longer use. So just now I have disabled the port forwarding rules. Should I be looking at anything? Also noticed a few attempts on plex port too. I have set my unifi to detect and block and sensitivity to high just incase.
  11. My cache disk has error next to it, did a smart test and it showing Last SMART test result: Completed without error but in attributes tab I see the following 199UDMA CRC error count0x0032100100000Old ageAlwaysNever13 Is it time for a new cache drive or can this be fixed? server-smart-20220531-1325.zip
  12. Can anyone help with this An error occurred while testing this indexer Exception (kicka######): FlareSolverr was unable to process the request, please check FlareSolverr logs. Message: Cloudflare Error: No challenge selectors found, unable to proceed.: FlareSolverr was unable to process the request, please check FlareSolverr logs. Click here to open an issue on GitHub for FlareSolverr. removed the url from error, all other indexers working with privoxy accept this one.
  13. Got the server diagnostics from my other thread and found the disk order in there in /smart/ folder so went with that order just to be on the safe side and selected "parity is already valid" Will keep eye on the logs to see if the error comes back but out of ideas why the VM is causing the logs to fill up. I have no other sessions opened elsewhere.
  14. Been having issue where my logs keep filling up with an error: After searching I saw someone had the same issue and created new config. Which solved the issue, so I did the same this morning and selected for Preserve current assignments: ALL I just want to be super careful and not mess anything up so can I just reassign all the disk in any order? Or does it have to be in the same order as it was previously? I have 3x 12TB and cant remember which was the parity disk. Does this matter? Message next to parity says All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started Assuming the parity just needs to rebuild? If someone can help re-assure me I have done this correctly that would be great, don't want to risk starting the array until then.
  15. Moved vdisk img back to original location and still seeing this error, so have no idea what is causing. Any suggestions what else I can look at?
  16. logs at 99% again so not sure what it causing this, anyone have any ideas? Might move my VM back to array how it was originally as I did copy to new location using MC. If that doeesnt resolve it, then im assuming its WIN11 related.
  17. Having same issue all of a sudden on my Win11 VM, only thing I did was move VM img and shared files to UD SSD.
  18. Found people with same issue here Looks like it might be something to do with Win11, I have closed all browsers sessions, rebooted VM and server but it did come back. I have also cleared all items in Quick access as I think that was one of the suggestions.
  19. So a few weeks ago, I put a new SSD into my system and mounted it etc. Moved my VM and VM Shares to it but now I am seeing the following errors filling up my syslog Mar 1 13:54:10 Server nginx: 2022/03/01 13:54:10 [error] 17266#17266: *849664 limiting requests, excess: 20.305 by zone "authlimit", client: 192.168.1.4, server: myHash.unraid.net, request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/2.0", host: "myHash.unraid.net" Mar 1 13:54:10 Server nginx: 2022/03/01 13:54:10 [error] 17266#17266: *849667 limiting requests, excess: 20.143 by zone "authlimit", client: 192.168.1.4, server: myHash.unraid.net, request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/2.0", host: "myHash.unraid.net" Mar 1 13:54:11 Server nginx: 2022/03/01 13:54:11 [error] 17266#17266: *849684 limiting requests, excess: 20.795 by zone "authlimit", client: 192.168.1.4, server: myHash.unraid.net, request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/2.0", host: "myHash.unraid.net" Mar 1 13:54:11 Server nginx: 2022/03/01 13:54:11 [error] 17266#17266: *849688 limiting requests, excess: 20.621 by zone "authlimit", client: 192.168.1.4, server: myHash.unraid.net, request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/2.0", host: "myHash.unraid.net" 192.168.1.4 is the static ip assigned to my win11 VM server-diagnostics-20220301-1401.zip
  20. https://forums.unraid.net/topic/90342-lag-configuration-in-unraid/ Found answer here will try changing to LACP Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  21. Hi guys looking for some help with setting up Link Aggregation. For some reason when I plug in both cables into my Supermicro board. I loose all connectivity. If I remove one of the ethernet cables it works again. I set up LAG on my netgear switch for ports 38 and 40. My unraid network settings are in attachment which I believe is correct as I want a 2Gbe link. Have I missed a step? Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  22. So looks like il need to open some more ports. I setup a subdomain pointing to my WAN IP eg unifi.mydomain.com which iv now set in the controller. I think the issue I had was the over ride inform address was set to my unraid ip. So it was in adoption loop. Will see if I can take the APs a way failing that will need to try remote adopt. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  23. I opened ports 8080, 8443 and 3478 for STUN are there more I need to open? Also for the set inform address is the controller should it be your server ip or the FQDN? I did do set infom on the APs but at site. Maybe I need to locally first. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  24. Is anyone using multi site with this? I tried to adopt 3 APs today for a new site, did the set-inform to my FQDN the APs appeared in my container but after clicking adopt they don't move into getting ready. Can't do anything like change name, radio settings. All 3 APs have the latest firmware... Correct ports also opened. Any suggestions? Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  25. To be fair I have the exact same issue. Just upgraded to 1gb in UK and doesn't download faster than 50MB/s but honestly most of my downloads are automated these days. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
