  1. I want to make one thing clear, UNRAID has been an AMAZING product.  There are many times over the last 10 years that I have thought, "UNRAID does everything I want it to do", however,  Lime Technology and the community continue to make it even better.  Pretty unique if you ask me.

    Sorry to go OT.

    Cheers.

The trailing "/" is needed for the symlink.  Using /mnt/user/, doesn't help if the docker container doesn't add a trainling "/" to the share folder like this /mnt/user/symlink/ to reference the folder.

I understand, this change has created some issues for me, I fully understand how to work around them.  I was just stating what happened to me after I installed RC6, in the event others had a similar configuration.  I assume, it could be argued that passing /mnt/user/ is not a good idea, it has worked this way for many years until RC6.  That is all.

Thanks. Script added. Can't understand why Unraid doesn't do this out of the box.

    Edit

I also had to adapt to the symlinks but no big problem.

I actually already had a trailing / and did not state that in my post.   I have a few dockers that use this, Krusader being one ...  A few others as well ...  For now I just added a folder on one of my drives with the same name as the share to disable exclusive access.

    Thank you for replying.

  4. RC6 Note: "Use symlinks instead of bind-mounts for exclusive shares" creates issues inside my containers.

If I add a path variable and set the container path to for instance /net, and the host path to /mnt/user, exclusive shares are not accessible with symlinks from within the container, worked fine before with bind-mounts.

And it also crashed with beta24? You can always downgrade by manually copying the bz* files from the v6.8.3 zip overwriting the existing ones.

I'm familiar with this process.  Thanks.

Yes it did freeze under BETA 24 also.
