  1. Okay. Here are the groupings after setting ACS override to ON. However.... With ACS overide set the VM appears to now run as there is no error generated, but there is no out put from the video card. The monitor screen is black and the monitor goes to sleep. This also happens in a Linux VM I have setup. Is a modern video card going to be the only way out here? 2. OK, but am I not in the same position? I'm using a Supermicro MDB X10SL7-F-O with an E3 1231v3 CPU. The error message I am getting seems very similar to that mentioned above by Mylo75. I'm just worried that by adding the script to the syslinux.cfg it will create a situation wher data loss or lockups might occur within the VM? The phrase "unsafe" interrupts has me worried. I'd rather spend money and buy a newer Graphics Card to fix the problem rather than start altering .cfg files, or am I barking up the wrong tree? Will an UEFI graphics card not fix the problem? Thanks.
  3. Hi. Thanks very much for that, very helpful. I'll check this out before investing in the new GT730 I've reserved. Regards Seabios, I gave this a try under a new VM as I believe this setting cannot be changed in an existing VM. Anyway, the results were exactly the same so I'm sure your correct re groupings. I'll check re the sound side of things now but I don't think the GT7600GS that I'm using has any sound capabilities? Regards using another slot, I'm stuffed. When I built the server I used a Supermicro X10SL7-F-O. It appears to be a great quality board but I didn't consider VM's back then and it only has 1 PCIe slot. Dohh! I'm also using an E3 1231v3 CPU which is an excellent CPU but has no integrated GPU. In hindsight, considering VM's, another Mobo and CPU combo might have been better. Maybe next time! I'll report back shortly but am I correct in the assumption that:- With only 1 GPU available for VM's, only 1 VM (Win10, Linux etc) can be up and running at any one time? Edit:...... Just checked the IOMMU groups. See info below. Cant see any sign of Audio hardware on Graphics card. 4. Hello Im getting the exact same problem, my VM runs fine in VNC but errors when I try to assign a graphics card. Why does editing Syslinux fix this (haven't tried it yet)? Is this something to do with the graphics card not supporting UEFI and IOMMU? Im just wondering if buying a newer graphics card would fix the problem, rather than "hacking" the syslinux file? Thanks.
  5. Hello. Right, I'm trying to use the newly hosted forums today to try and get advice on which VM template to use and how to configure it to run Linux Mint. However..... it appears I can only create a post in certain forum areas? When I attempt to select the area I want to post in such as VM template forum, that choice is greyed out, as are several other forum areas. Does anybody have any ideas why that should be? This appears to happen when using the "Create" button at the top of the screen. What's the difference between that and the "Start Topic" button? If I navigate to any forum that is "Greyed out" under the "Create" drop down menu, then there is no "Start Topic" selection available. Is this due to the new Web host migration? Oh, and another one! Why when editing a post (as I'm doing now) am I confronted with an "Edit Topic" button? What happened to the simple "Save" button? Thanks.
  6. Hello. ive setup a Win 10 VM which works fine until I try to assign a GPU (Gforce GT7600 GS). Upon VM restart I get an Error message about QEMU shutting down the VM due to the vid card IOMMU group not being viable (see attached picture) Is this due to the admittedly old graphics card not supporting UEFI and IOMMU? I'm thinking to buy a newer GT730. Would that do the job? I'm having difficulty finding out what graphics cards do support UEFI. Thanks.
  7. Cheers. I'll give that a go. I didn't realise the the Windows Deluge program could be turned into a remote GUI like that. Can that also be done with the Linux version of Deluge? Reason for asking is I'm about to go over to Linux completely, even my Windows 10 machine. I've even considered relying on my uRaid server to supply the grunt, and employing a Raspberry PI to do the web browsing.
  8. Thanks binhex. Yup, I've set up Siphon for Chrome perfectly and it won't connect despite the Deluge web UI working perfectly. Where do I set the lan range? Is this part of the Deluge Docker confit on Install? Thanks.
  9. Yup, it's still going on here. I've gone over all the settings I understand and it will not work. In desperation I installed the Transmission Docker. I then installed the Transmission Remote GUI on my Windows machine. Worked first time after I set the Transmission IP address and Port. Several Downloads completed without a hitch. I then re installed the Deluge Docker and configured the Siphon extender in Chrome. Will it work, Not a Cat in hells chance! Same message when I request a torrent..... "Cannot communicate with the Deluge server" and "Torrent not added". I must confess that I am not overly impressed with these Dockers which do seem to have their problems. Dunno what to do next.
  10. I've got VPN turned off until I get the basics running properly. The port has been set correctly. What is the Lange range used for? I haven't touched that. Still can't get Siphon to add a Torrent to Deluge. I'm still getting the "cannot communicate with the Deluge server" message, followed by the "Torrent not added message". I've tried the Transmission Docker and that was up and running in minutes using the Transmission remote GUI on a windows machine. Why will Deluge not work?
  11. I wish I could get Deluge to work at all. I'm still getting the message "Error communicating with Deluge server" when I attempt to download a torrent. Piease see log posted earlier. I'm using Chrome with the siphon extension but despite setting the right IP address and password, the torrent is not added to Deluge. I've now added the Transmission Docker and that works but I prefer the Deluge interface. Any ideas anyone?
  12. Hello. I have installed Deluge and followed the instructions to the letter, I have also installed the Chrome Syphon extension. Every time I try to download a torrent I get the message "Torrent Requested" then a five second delay, then two messages " Error communicating with Deluge Server" and " Torrent not Added". It's driving me nuts. I've tried everything. If I use siphon to try to open the web UI of Deluge, the WebUI opens but presents a box asking for the password. I know the password is correct because I can open the Deluge WebUI from the Docker using the password. Has anybody any ideas because other than that it's all set up and seems to have potential. 14. Cheers Scottc. I will do that this afternoon. I have used the ifconfig eth0 many times as the Unraid WebGui frequently becomes unresponsive during multiple large file transfers or sometimes parity checks. That way I can find out if the IP address has ever changed (which it doesn't). This is one of the most annoying problems with Unraid and I see that many suffer with it. The issue has never gone away, despite numerous Unraid software updates, clean installs, hardware changes, etc. I recently spent over £500 buying a new Supermicro X10SL7-F-0, an E3 1231v3, and 16gb of Crucial ECC memory to get as close to Unraid "Standard" kit as I could. The problem remains. You would think that after all these years (and complaints) that they could get this problem sorted? Anyway, I digress........ Will report back later. Thanks.
  15. Hello again. I'm using Docker for Plex Media Server, Plexconnect and OpenVPN. I've just been watching movies using my ATV3 and Plex sourced from my Unraid server. As soon as I fire up OpenVPN, then Plexconnect stops supplying movies to the ATV3. It's really annoying as I don't know enough about Openvpn to work out what's happening.
  16. Thanks for that Scottc. That saves me a lot of messing about. I wonder what Openvpn is doing to plexconnect? Thanks.
  17. A few questions if I may. How do I know which fork of Plexconnect I'm running? Why can I not access the Plexconnect WebGUI? When I select the WebGUI by clicking the Plexconnect icon within Docker I get a webpage with "Error 404" on it. The IP address appears to be that of my Unraid server on port 80? Finally, when running Openvpn, Plexconnect appears to stop working, or at least I get "trailers is not available" displayed on my ATV3. I'm running Unraid Ver 6 Pro latest 64bit. It's the fully paid up version. Thanks in advance.
  18. Cheers, thanks for that. Due to Openvpn AND Plexconnect being involved it's difficult to know where to place this query. Considering they are all running within Docker that makes it even more difficult. I have tried the Plex forums but to no avail. I cannot even get an answer to the simple question "Does Plexconnect have a WebGui"! It has the option via the Unraid Docker GUI, but selecting that option opens a webpage that says "Error 404". The web address Plexconnect attempts to access is just the address of the Unraid server on port 80. That leads nowhere of course because I've changed the Unraid server port to 90 as per the Plexconnect installation instructions. Can anybody out there running Plexconnect on an Unraid system please tell me what happens when they select the Plexconnect WebGui option. Many thanks.
  19. Another question please. I've just installed Openvpn through Docker and started to configure it. It's not easy when your new to VPN but I got maybe 70% of the way there. However...... I noticed that with OpenVPN running Plexconnect appears to stop working (sort of). I think Plexconnect is still running as my ATV3 can still get Apple content and Netflix etc works, but the minute I press the "Trailers" icon on the ATV3 I get the message "Trailers is not available". I also get this message if I stop Plexconnect (with Openvpn not running) but then of course I get no Apple content or Netflix etc on the ATV3. It's an odd one and I don't understand entirely what Openvpn is doing to my Unraid server behind the scenes. PMS and Plexconnect have been working great (both installed via Docker) so this appears to be an Openvpn issue. Could some expert on here suggest what the problem might be please as I would like to run Openvpn. I'm running Unraid Ver 6.latest Pro 64bit fully paid up on a Supermicro x10SL7-F-o with an E1231v3 so I doubt it's a hardware problem. I understand Plexconnect uses port 443 but I have disabled the use of this port by Openvpn to avoid conflicts.. Many thanks in advance.
  20. Cheers. I did not think of the Plex forums. I've just changed some settings within Plexconnect to give me the "Overview" menu button and this works and shows all movies. If I change it so that I see "On Deck" and "Recently Watched" and "Folder" menu buttons, then the "All Movies" menu button reappears but doesn't work. Dohh!
  21. Hello. I have installed Plex Media Server and Plexconnect on my Unraid Server and it all seems to work after a fashion via my ATV3. There are a couple of issues...... I have never been able to access the Plexconnect WebGui and keep getting an Error404 message, and, when selecting the "All Movies" section of PMS ON MY TV SCREEN via the ATV3 I just get a spinning wheel and eventually the message "Trailers is Unavailable right now, please try again later". The "On Deck", "Recently Added", and "Unwatched" selections work perfectly! Any info would be great fully received. Moving on to the latest problem though. I have now installed OpenVPN and it stops Plexconnect from supplying the trailers function. The redirect function appears to work as I can access Apple content or Netflix for example on my ATV3, but any attempt to Run the Trailers function results in the "Trailers is Unavailable right now" message after a minute or so of searching. If I disable OpenVPN and reboot the Server everything works again, until I start OpenVPN, then Plexconnect seems unable to supply my Movies from Plex Media Server. Is this a port conflict or something? I'm running the latest Unraid 64bit Ver 6.xx Pro fully paid up version, and the three other progs/containers are being run within Docker. Any ideas anyone. Thanks.
  22. Hello all. I've been running PMS and Plexconnect on my Unraid server for a few months now. There are a few issues (maybe) where the "All Movies" choice on the menu just results in a spinning wheel and all movies never being found. The "On Deck" and "Recenly Watched" and "Unwatched" selections all work, but "All movies" gets no results at all and eventually times out. I'm assuming this is a Plexconnect/PMS issue? Has anybody else the same problem? Anyway, point is, I recently installed Openvpn and Plexconnect immediately refuses to show me anything under the "Trailers" icon. The redirect function still seems to work (all Apple content seems accessible and all other icons work such as Netflix), but using the "Trailers" icon results in the message "Trailers is unavailable, try again later". If I stop Openvpn and reboot the server then Plexconnect will work again. The minute I start Openvpn then Plexconnect stops working. I have shut down the use of port 443 in Openvpn to no avail. Anybody got any ideas please? Just as an aside...... Ever since I installed Plexconnect I've never actually been able to access its WebGui. I can start it and stop it and edit it from the Unraid WebGui, but when I select the Plexconnect WebGui I get an Error 404 type message and "Access denied". I am running the latest Unraid Ver 6 fully paid up Pro OS, and all other items are installed via Docker. Cheers.
  23. Some quick thoughts. Windows...... Not open to everyone. My secure shares are secure. Windows presents me with a credentials box which I fill in to access my shares. If I dont have the user name and password then I cant access them in either Windows or Linux. Fstab....... Yes, you can cut and paste, but.... you also have to go through the nonsense of creating directories, Credentials files, changing their permissions, setting mount points, etc. In order to do this you have to duck in and out of Terminal, changing from user to root to user etc. What a faff! Windows........ requires none of the above! it took me Five minutes (probably less, and including googling) to find credentials manager and enter the details required for permanent access to my shares. Without adding these details, Windows asks me to log in on a session by session basis. Perfect! Linux....... The procedure outlined in the fstab paragraph is long winded and unnecessarily convoluted. It took me an hour, bearing in mind that years ago I spent a lot of time around DOS so I understood the basic principles. My brother, a day to day computer user, sat baffled whilst he watched me run through the steps required! Ubuntu...... Yes, Funnily enough a mate of mine uses Ubuntu. I visited him for coffee yesterday and watched him log into his server remotely (but within the local LAN). Ubuntu immediately asked for the username and password and presented a credentials box. This was the case on every attempt. He was unable to explain why Linux Mint did not do this. Question....... Is this a Linux Mint and Unraid thing, or is this an Ubuntu to his server thing (not sure what his server is running), or is this a Linux Mint vs Ubuntu thing? Right, Im just about to fire up ubuntu from a DVD and find out. Watch this space!
