  1. Does it work with the new Amazon Cloud Drive? This would be perfect.
  2. It would at least hit the minimum requirements for a single Plex 1080p transcode according to https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201774043-What-kind-of-CPU-do-I-need-for-my-Server-computer-
  3. Stick with the 750Ti. I considered doing the same but after research, there's not a whole lot of improvement going to the 960
  4. Hmm I would delete your OS X.img file and recreate it. Then set your ram to 2GB. I am thinking that maybe the extra .5 is causing it be funky? I have successfully installed this with only 2 GB of ram. The RAM amount was exactly it. Thanks!
  5. Also had time tonight to try installing the VM based on this guide. Using the provided xml, KVM wouldn't let me boot because my server only has 4GB ram. Had to drop it down to 2.5 GB to even boot. After booting and formatting the drive, the VM appeared to have crashed mid-install. Powering it back up, I got a different install window where the option was to Reinstall OSX and if I clicked that, it would say something to the effect of: cannot install, computer not eligible.
  6. Geforce GTX 750 ti. Constantly gets praise for the best budget graphics card you can buy. Single slot! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836
  7. Saw it on reddit. Came over here to find your Intel-esque banner.
  8. Check this thread for some discussion about this: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=42711.msg409260#msg409260
  9. Just gave it a watch. Excellent!! Glad to see unRAID getting attention from the big Youtube star!
  10. I'm using a USB 2.0 Sandisk Fit with unRAID. Works great.
  11. For that reason I use a USB external drive via unassigned devices. Not optimal, but better than keeping a drive spun up or the cache drive continually dumped to. I get the array drive reasoning, but what's the difference between spinning a cache drive and an external USB drive? One could argue you are spinning two drives if using the USB and only one if you use the cache..?? My cache is SSD. Issue is longevity due to constant writing to the disk. If the external drive dies, its not the end of the world. I've got plenty of old 2.5" drives sitting around to swap

  13. That's what I do. Win7 + BI.
  14. So after reading the post I reconfigured my gaming VM from 4 passed-through cores to 3 and experienced bad problems with Steam in-home streaming. The encoder couldn't keep up with gameplay over the network. The on screen fps display showed one thread available for encoding and the streaming bandwidth suffered. Went from a paltry 10Mbit to 250Mbit+ (and two utilized threads) after adding back the 4th core. Why did reading the post prompt you to reduce to three? I figured one less core wouldn't hurt as there wasn't much of a difference between 8, 6, and 4.

  16. Dream not! It's reality! Run a google search for Steam In-Home Streaming. Works mighty well over gigabit ethernet for gaming!
  17. Latest update let me unmount my USB drive and rename it. Also had to use Chrome instead of Safari. Kudos for all the work put in to this plugin!!! Now, how could I password protect the USB drive's share??
  18. I have a CyberPower UPS attached to unRAID that I could use to test the wattage difference with/without my 750Ti running/idle/etc. If I get some time, I could add some data to this thread. On a different note, johnp, how the heck do I get 3D Mark to run on my VM? I get nothing but SystemInfo failures with both the Steam version and the standalone installer when trying to launch the application.
  19. Clever! Will have to give this a shot
  20. Assuming unRAID 6.1 is the reason I can't unmount my USB-attached HDD, nor rename it. Hoping a fix is around the corner
  21. Successful update from RC6! Thank you for your continued work!
