  1. IIRC unRAID can only address a single NIC in the box. I'm sure this has come up on the board before, have you tried searching?
  2. You're absolutely right, I just don't want to replace the unRAID GUI with a completely new / different one. If a plugin would just enable a config page in the stock GUI to do scheduled checks I'd be happier to install it.
  3. I'd rather not install 3rd party plugins / GUIs; I'm trying to keep unRAID as vanilla as possible.
  4. I dug this up from a thread in v4.x. Is this still relevant for 5.0?
  5. As far as I know sharing a folder in a folder is not possible. Shares can only be made at the root level.
  6. Not sure if this is a defect or an enhancement... or neither. I suggest that the "total array size of disks" calculation excludes the parity drive. e.g. if you have 2 TB parity and data drives in 1 TB, 1 TB, and 1.5 TB the total calculation shows 5.5 TB of disk space when in actual fact you only have 3.5 TB of usable space since you cannot use the parity for data storage.
  7. I think it would be nice to consolidate as much as possible - it feels like there are a lot of forums / categories here.
  8. How do we update the new GUI for install on the 5.0.3 release?
  9. Really looking forward to the next release!
  10. Downloaded instantly and installed without issue. Thanks Tom!
  11. Excellent Tom - lots of great updates here for Mac users! I will be installing this tonight.
  12. From what I can tell it is not possible to set a spin down "window" within unRAID. I would like to have my drives spun up during normal usage hours; say 8 AM - 11:59 PM and then spun down from 12 AM - 7:59 AM and spin back up for usage. There should be an automatic override which would fall back to the current spin down delay if the drives are in use during the spin down window. I think this would achieve the best of both worlds - no TM issues during normal usage hours, no delay when trying to stream media from the box, access the shares, etc., but would allow you to achieve power savings while the box is not being used overnight.
  13. On the main Lime Technology website the only difference described between Plus and Pro is drive count; however, I found somewhere on the Wiki that security features also differ between the tiers. I want to run the Active Directory authentication; however, I won't need more than seven drives. Will AD work on Plus or do I have to get the Pro license?
  14. *face palm* thanks. I had it on my 4.7 build and forgot it wasn't part of the base image. Is there a preferred method to install screen on 5.0 or should I still go with unMENU?
  15. I just put a new drive in my unRAID box and went to run the preclear script on it only to find out that preclear_disk.sh is not in my /boot directory! When I try to run the command I get "-bash: preclear_disk.sh: command not found". Thoughts? Running on unRAID 5.0.
  16. Since upgrading to OS X 10.9 I have been experiencing some weird issues with copying files to unRAID. Every now and then I will get the following error: "The item <item name> can’t be copied because it is too large for the volume's format". I have checked the share - more than enough space available. I have also checked the system log and there is nothing there. Issue is when connecting via SMB to unRAID; no issues when connecting via AFP.
  17. I think this one might be solved. Does anyone have any idea as to what would have caused this corruption?
  18. results from disk2 finished No corruptions found There are on the filesystem: Leaves 122881 Internal nodes 773 Directories 3927 Other files 15456 Data block pointers 122578843 (0 of them are zero) Safe links 0 Any specific thoughts as to what would have created the corruption?
  19. disk2 has found 26 corruptions which can be fixed with --fix-fixable. Lets see how this goes.
  20. The end result for --fix-fixable is: finished No corruptions found There are on the filesystem: Leaves 180868 Internal nodes 1148 Directories 4756 Other files 7122 Data block pointers 182116419 (182412 of them are zero) Safe links 0 I'm going to run reiserfsck on disk2 to be safe. Do you think this will resolve my issues or are they deeper?
  21. disk 1 reiserfsck finished finding 9 errors which can be fixed with --fix-fixable. Going to run that now and see what I get. The support / community on this forum is amazing - thanks everyone for their help and input.
  22. Bone stock unRAID 5.0 install; no plugins. I made sure to close all windows (and mounts from my Mac). Found a thread to unmount shares including lsof and fuser -mvk, etc... nothing would allow me to unmount /dev/md1 (disk 1). Eventually after trying to kill PID the PID listed on disk 1 I started getting erros when trying to run fuser -mvk /mnt/disk1* /mnt/users*. Ended up killing power to the server and reboting (). Running reiserfsck on drive 1 now - it has found some "bad_indirect_items", but has not yet completed the scan.
