  1. Hey snidera its not so much change the IOMMU group, it can release the audio device ID, ours being 8086:a170. The hardware is part of the smbus which has x4 other devices within it so the line isolates the audio for passthrough. Like i say we have almost identical systems and being able to passthrough the whole CPU has worked great. Give it another shot without the RX460. I suppose you could get your encodes complete via RDP but having gpu/audio working has been fun with a few VM`s LibreElec/windows/linux mint. Once the VM starts with intel audio selected in the template you know you are golden It does everything i need apart from heavy gaming but i use desktop for that rather than put my gtx980 in the server.
  2. ok so the integrated graphics have been set as primary boot device from the newly flashed asrock bios menu? have you tried using just hdmi out from the motherboard to hdmi tv/monitor? removing the vga adapter for testing? Does Unraid boot with my syslinux.cfg? What error does the VM template give when you select intel audio? (assuming unraid boots) I would get the VM working without VNC first then work on the audio.
  3. try copy/paste my syslinux.cfg and rebooting. the only issue with windows 10 was a refresh rate/driver issue which, once updated the p530 Intel drivers was corrected. I have access to all the sunrise point smbus audio devices like a normal setup would. ACS is off from the Unraid web GUI If the VM is running but no video output you could look at your motherboard settings like suggested in the last page of this thread Intel IGD making IGFX primary.
  4. Looks like you have the stub part added to the wrong location (GUI boot mode) not Unraid OS. My IOMMU group IOMMU group 11 [8086:a149] 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-H LPC Controller (rev 31) [8086:a121] 00:1f.2 Memory controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-H PMC (rev 31) [8086:a170] 00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-H HD Audio (rev 31) [8086:a123] 00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-H SMBus (rev 31) And my syslinux.cfg default /syslinux/menu.c32 menu title Lime Technology, Inc. prompt 0 timeout 50 label unRAID OS menu default kernel /bzimage append vfio-pci.ids=8086:a170 modprobe.blacklist=i2c_i801,i2c_smbus initrd=/bzroot label unRAID OS GUI Mode kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui label unRAID OS Safe Mode (no plugins, no GUI) kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot unraidsafemode label Memtest86+ kernel /memtest ACS override wasnt needed for my system, which is similar to yours.
  5. My bios has iGPU as primary. I can passthrough integrated or discrete GPU. I can passthrough iGPU without discrete installed using i440fx-2.7 and seaBIOS. Both Win10 & LibreELEC tested stable integrated or discrete gpu
  6. Have you tried setting your integrated GPU in BIOS as primary boot device? This will "release" your 1080 GPU for passthrough. Does the VM work while using VNC?
  7. Thats a shame, skylake wasnt supported at that time as well as older cpu`s although my skylake xeon can be passed through with hd audio now. As libreELEC is linux & bishyb stated on the last page of that thread he can passthrough Ivybridge IGD fine with linux using i440fx-2.7 and OVMF.
  8. I havent come across this before you could try a different build. https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/302-le8-extended-community-build-generic-rpi/ try the extended community build generic x86 Your KVM page shows Xeon e3 1200v2/3 but your system information is an i7?
  9. could be a refresh rate issue? Which libreELEC build have you installed bisk? Is the monitor connected by HDMI?
  10. I am using seaBIOS & i440fx-2.7 successfully with a win10 vm. Passthrough xeon e3 1245v5 skylake igpu sound and gfx. No other combination of BIOS or Machine will work however with my setup. I have added some code to my syslinux.cfg to stub the SMBus. Not sure its needed for previous generations of hardware though. (append vfio-pci.ids=1b21:1242 modprobe.blacklist=i2c_i801,i2c_smbus initrd=/bzroot) many thanks to this thread here installed the latest Intel iGPU drivers, everything works very well.
  11. Have you read the windows 10 VM guest support guide ? Enable MSI for Interrupts to Fix HDMI Audio Support download the MSI ulitily from here and apply the fix spaceinvaderone also has a wonderful video here explaining.
  12. mate what the hell. I forgot to try it again (100th time )before posting and it is working now. Have a beer for your work Thank you...alot
  13. I agree after many many hours attempting it was a mess indeed supervisord.txt
  14. Thanks for your time supervisord.txt
  15. Thank you for looking into this for me binhex. Unfortunately its still not connecting. Maybe iam outta luck with my currant provider. Could it possibly be an issue with the location of the certificate file from my provider? The .ovpn file and .crt work fine in other linux OS. I have them in the ovpn folder named as requested by my provider.
  16. Can someone please look over my supervisorlog for anything i could have overlooked? No GUI with VPN enabled. possibly this is preventing it starting? [warn] Username contains characters which could cause authentication issues, please consider changing this if possible Thanks supervisord.log
  17. @drzaph Not really sure how you are accessing the files but i tend to access the array over gigabit NFS or SAMBA through the LibreElec GUI. Iam no expert but maybe adding an unraid share from within the VM template. Add the disk as a share.
  18. 19. This works well for my system, Thanks. Prior to adding the line (modprobe.blacklist=i2c_i801,i2c_smbus ) to my syslinux.cfg i could choose Intel sunrise HD audio from the drop down menu along with my Intel 530 iGPU but the VM wouldn't start when selecting the Sunrise point HD audio. Adding the line of code gets the VM started and everything runs very well. Thanks again
  20. The answer i was looking for is in the Unraid 6 Manual I needed to setup a network bridge https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#Configure_a_Network_Bridge This allows my router to assign an IP address so its now visible on my LAN. I can now connect via remote desktop to my VM I pass through a USB IR receiver that I paid $10 for on amazon. You can also install the official plex app on your phone and "cast" movies/shows to your openPHT VM. Win10 VM i use Unified Remote app with their server installed on VM. It can control Mouse/Keyboard and media through different remotes preconfigured. It has a Kodi app as well just not as nice as the Yatse app
  21. Finally got round to setting up my first VM. Iam passing through a gtx980. I used Openelec from the templates, it worked first time but clicking audio needed fixing using bungee91`s post in this thread https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=50279.0 creating and editing the sound.conf file which has resolved the issue and HD audio now passed through I would like to use the Yatse android app to control OpenELEC but it isnt finding the host. I have tried adding the address manualy with port 80 with no luck. Anyone have any helpful advice regarding this please? This is awesome and VM creation will open up a whole world of possibilities now so thanks devs
