  3. I have a few 4.7 Unraid servers (3), but one of them has been unstable because of a power outage we had. When the system rebotted, I got some errors that I worked through, but the server was never the same. This particular server only has movies and now that we have a final version 5, I thought I should start to fix this. What are the steps I should take to first upgrade I guess and then start adding a dive at a time? I am not sure so I was hoping someone could help me with this. What I want is the data on each drive I have, but not the partity info and rebuild it with the new version. Thank you...
  4. Use the following code for $20 off the sticker.. EMCXMXL22 - Free Shipping.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178338&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL080913&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL080913-_-EMC-080913-Index-_-InternalHardDrives-_-22178338-L0C
  5. Since it is 7200rpm, it might run hotter than the slower ones. Just saying, but never tested.
  6. http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barracuda-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST3000DM001/dp/B005T3GRLY/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1374126069&sr=1-2&keywords=hard+drive It's $122.22, probably not the best drive for UnRaid,but...
  7. I have a couple of these. If anyone is interested in buying one for cheap just name the price plus shipping. PM me if you are interested.
  8. Would you be willing to take payments over a 3 month period? 1/3, 1/3, 1/3.. Does it also include the Unraid pro key?
  9. I just finished reading this story. I use Newegg all the time like most people here, but this article gives me even more reason to like them.. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/01/how-newegg-crushed-the-shopping-cart-patent-and-saved-online-retail/ I love the end quote from the attorney from Newegg talking about Patent Trolls.. "Then they pop up and say "Hello, surprise! Give us your money or we will shut you down!" Screw them. Seriously, screw them. You can quote me on that..."
  10. I have had two NOrco 4220 cases. My first one, the backplane began smoking after 6 months of use. The one I use right now works fine, but one of the LED lights do not work.
  11. I am not running any add-ons. Also, this only happens when I run a parity check. I forgot to mention my server has 4 GB of ram and 19 data + 1 parity drives. My motherbaord is a Supermicro MBD-C2SEA -O with two SUPERMICRO AOC-SASLP-MV8 installed.
  12. I was able to access the web gui temporarily using: killall emhttp nohup /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & I ran a complete parity check and it came back with no errors. I had to use the above command three times during the process to see the status. Does anyone know why I am losing access to the web gui? I have run a memtest as mentioned 2x with no errors. If I had some type of problem with one of my drives, would I be able to complete a parity check with no errors? Can I totally trust my array is truely safe seeing that I was able to run a full parity check. I am attaching a new syslog to see if anyone can help me figure out what is causing my problems. syslog-2011-11-20.zip
  13. This has not been my week. My main unraid server (Version 4.7) just started acting up. It was locked up and I was forced to do a hard reboot. Upon reboot it started up normally and started to do a parity check which I allowed it to do. I could not longer access the Web GUI, but I could telnet and access it via the console. I created a syslog, but I am not sure why I can't access the box via the Web GUI via http://datacenter1 (Name of Server) or static IP address. Thanks for any help in advance... Update... I ran a MEMTEST on this server with no error so far. I rebooted system but as I stated in title I am no longer able to access the web GUI. I did a POWEROFF cammand knowing this is not the proper way to shut down. I restarted system and was finally after researching was able to do a POWEROFF command via telnet. I reset again but I am in the same boat. I cannot access the Web GUI, but I can telnet into the server and I see the drives on the network and access them. I ran a tail -f /var/log/syslog to see if anything weird occured/occuring but nothing so far. syslog11-18-11.txt
