  1. I did that but I still can not delete files inside share
  2. Ok sorry if this has been posted. I am getting an error on my itunes that is connected to itunes server. It is saying original file could not be found.
  3. I have a new share that showed up and I did not create named lost+found. I did have to do a reiserfsk rebuild and noticed after the rebuild this share showed up. I tried deleting it but permissions prevented me. Any idea what the share is and is it safe to delete if I can
  4. Thanks the ALT-F2 worked. I wish that I knew more about this but I am trying to learn. Thanks a lot because my wife is upset she cant be lazy and watch tv on mothers day.
  5. sure, type: /root/samba start and it should put up the SMB shares. How do you type that when reiserfsck is running on the server and I can not telnet to the server?
  6. I keep getting post processing failed unable to delete existing files
  7. I am having trouble with sickbeard post processing files. Sickbeard keeps showing a warning that it can not delete files and never moves or renames the files. I did recently wipe my flash drive and install 5b14. I installed sickbeard and sab via unemnu. I have went through the new permissions numerous times. I am trying all that I have read and any help would save me some headaches, thanks alot
  8. I am having the same problems also and New permissions has not worked for me. I wish you luck
  9. I have no idea how to read and understand the syslog. I did move the same cable from the RAID Sata card to the mobo and the server has been running fine for about 18 hours now.
  10. OK last night I moved the parity drive cable from the SATA2 Serial ATA II PCI-Express RAID Controller Card and plugged it into the mobo. The server has been up and running all night and I am not getting multiple emails about resync rebuilding. We were not using the server though but I am hoping this fixed the problem. Could it be the RAID card is bad or maybe too slow?
  11. Why would a PCI NIC be ideal? That is what I have and I just ordered this thinking it would be better
  12. Also the parity drive is hooked up to a SATA2 Serial ATA II PCI-Express RAID Controller Card (Silicon Image SIL3132). I think I tried moving the cable to mobo already and it did not solve the problem smart.txt
  13. OK I checked cables and they are fine. I bought and installed a new psu and I am having the same problems. The server will run for a few hours and then become unresponsive. I try rebooting through shell in a box and the server does not reboot. I have to manually shut it down and restart the server then it will work again. It will run for a few hours and then the same problem. I do have a PIC NIC card installed because the mobo nic card was not working.
  14. If it is the psu would this be a good choice? http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0376717
  15. Thanks a lot for helping me out. OK I had an extra sata cable and replaced it for the old one, what should I do now to see if it fixed the problem? I really do not know how to check the psu. You have any instructions on how to rule it a faulty psu? I also attached the new syslog after a new sata cable and reboot. syslog-2012-04-01_1.txt
  16. I have been having problems the last 2 days with my server not replying. I have to manual reboot after trying to reboot via shell in a box. It runs ok for a few hours after reboot but then becomes unresponsive. I thought it was network related but the other 4 pc's on network are fine. Wondering if it could be my pci NIC card. I am attaching the syslog from the last start up. I do not see any syslogs on my flash in the 2-3 weeks. syslog-2012-04-01.txt
  17. Awesome thanks for replies. There is one of my norco's with 4 empty bays. I also only have one exhaust plus the psu. So from what I read maybe I should add another exhaust and only use the norco fans as the only intake. I don't want to use a fan controller though.
  18. I replace my three Norco ss500 fans with the coolink quiet fans. My disk temperatures are now in the high 30's and sometimes reach 40 which I get an alert email sent to me for when it goes over 40. My server sits in the basement which stays cool year round. I have the fans in the Norco's pulling the air out away from the drives, maybe they are supposed to be blowing on the drives? I only have one fan in my case and it is in the back pulling out hot air. Wondering if I should install more fans and which way to face them. Thanks for any help
  19. I am trying to pre clear a drive and it gets stuck at post read 38%. It never finishes and there is never a pre clear log made. Wondering if the drive may be bad or what.
  20. I was at best buy yesterday and saw this in a box. Would that be a good deal and also I could get a 10% off coupon which would take it down to $150. They only had one left yesterday Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
  21. Maybe I will get crashplan only for my server. I do not keep too many files I need backed up on my PC's. Would a windows home server back up files and also be easy to restore an os? Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
