  1. That's a good idea! I know that my ISP has oversold the fibre in my area, but my downloads are still plenty good enough - I'd be interested to see how upload speeds fluctuate though.
  2. Fantastic, thank you. CTRL+F5 on the page, and it's all displaying fine.
  3. Removed plugin, reinstalled, edited the script with Notepad++ and it all works fine. Thanks so much for your help guys - I'm off to add the other shares.
  4. Thanks for that - stupid me didn't think of the text editor. I have used vi before (but found it quite daunting). I've installing Notepadd++ and re-edited the script - I'm not rebooting. The bash line is there, as is all the other REMarked out lines. I'll I've done is duplicate the example and give "Movies" a capital "M". It's rebooting now. If that doesn't work, I'll remove and reinstall the plugin to make sure I've got the original files. Thanks for that
  5. Thanks for that - I've edited the mountscript and unmount script in the flash/config/plugins/ProFTPd folder and have rebooted my system. However, I'm not seeing any new folders in my FTP location. Essentially in my mountscript I've got... mkdir /mnt/cache/FTP/Movies;mount --bind /mnt/user0/Movies /mnt/cache/FTP/Movies When I reboot and look in my FTP share, I've just got a test file. I'm assuming that it should have a Movies folder in it, yes? All I've done is edited the mountscript.sh file in Wordpad. Any ideas?
  6. Hi - is there any chance that the date (and time) can been added to the results table for each test? I'm guessing local server time.
  7. Yep. Not to rock the boat too much, but I'd personally like Plugins and Dockers to be merged into "Apps" on the header. Not necessarily pile them altogether on the page - maybe have two tabs with CA underneath. While we're there, Settings and Tools *could* be merged, since a lot of plugin tools end up being accessed from the Settings page. Definitely not a fan of opening up the main tabs to third party developers, but also the overall structure does seem to require revision now that unRAID can do so much more. I'm not one for wide browsers, since I've normally got windows to the left of them. Frequently wondering why the unRAID screen looks borked. Of course, it would be handy if it degraded a bit more gracefully. Like flow the "free space, Feedback, Help, Info & Log" better. Or put it in a smaller bar above the Limetech logo. Obviously I'm straying way away from Community Applications now, so I'll finish on topic: I was having trouble updating - it's gone through fine now.
  8. I'm getting... plugin: bad file MD5: /boot/config/plugins/community.applications/community.applications- 2015.12.05.txz ...when I try and update. Any ideas?
  9. I might hold out (busy at work too, but have remote access - I'll see how I get on). It did occur to me that things might not be happening in the correct order (plugin initializing and running mount scripts before files copied over maybe). Thanks for your time, sorry it's a hassle.
  10. Ahh. I tried that, but didn't get any directories created or mounted. The new files copied into the filesystem on boot OK. What do I do with the chmod command? (apologies for this - I understand the principles, but I'm on the limit of my experience with linux)
  11. Just so I understand (or not!). You're saying that the way plugins work now are not stored on the flash, so changes to the mount scripts will be lost on reboot? Hence for now, I need to tweak my system to make sure things continue to work? Fair enough, not a problem... Get the mount and unmount scripts as I want them in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ProFTPd/scripts based on the example commands (I have maybe 5 shares I'd like to make available) Make a copy of these on my flash drive (in the root, for example) Add the following two lines to config/go... cp /boot/mountscript.sh /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ProFTPd/scripts/mountscript.sh cp /boot/unmountscript.sh /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ProFTPd/scripts/unmountscript.sh [*]Reboot the server If so, I'll have a go once a Handbrake queue has finished. Thank you
  12. Thanks for that - I think I understand. I'll give it a go, but I may have some questions.
  13. Hi - I've just installed this after the need to access parts of my unRaid box externally, but I can't find any mount or unmount scripts in the plugins folder. Here's what I'm doing (and obviously correct me if I'm being stupid)... - Running unraid 6.1.4 - Added the plugin via the github url on page 1 - Set up a hidden cache only share called "ftp" that I just plan to mount required shares in. Put a text file in for testing - Set up a user "ftp_user" with description "ftpuser /mnt/cache/ftp" - Restarted the ftp service From a remote machine I can log in using filezilla and it presents me with the test text file. I now want to add some of my shares in here, and I understand that the mountscript is the way to go about it. Firstly, am I doing this right (or is there a better way? And if so, where's the scripts (the folder on flash/config/plugins/ProFTPd has six files - 3 gz files, a cfg, a conf and a readme)? Cheers, Simon
  14. Just to chime in and say that I've had this error and clearing out dangling images as suggested has worked for now. Thanks for the advice, and hopefully something can be built into unRaid to purge these via the UI (or via a docker toolkit). I've set Plex to transcode on my cache drive, but I'm not 100% sure whether it's doing it. Need to investigate later. I'm using the Limetech repo version, but am happy to switch if it's not considered ideal. I'm also running Logitech Media Server, that does some audio transcoding, and I'm not sure whether it saves log/error files (or whether you can clear or redirect them). That's potentially something to look into, since all other dockers are more app-based (Handbrake and the like). My issue doesn't seem so dramatic as some people's on here though
  15. Hi - bit of a noob question (again). Now I'm migrating everything over to unRaid, I'd just added a drive that was previously part of my Windows Home Server box. A 1TB WD Green drive. Since I leave most settings at default, it's formatted it as XFS - fine, obviously. However, the size of it is being listed as 1000GB, compared to 1TB and 2TB on all my ReiserFS drives. For the sake of my sanity (plus a little bit of OCD), this is fine, yes?
  16. I keep checking every day. It's worth contacting XCase (if you haven't), since they seem to take some things off their site altogether when they don't have stock (whilst some other things are just listed as out of stock). For example, the case I am looking at buying (the non-pro RM 424) suddenly wasn't there the day I went to buy it. Nor were any of its variations. I think they're expecting an updated version in this week, but it's been several weeks, and to the casual buyer it looks like they don't supply anything that the home server price point. I emailed and contacted them on Facebook (for two different reasons) - they've always been quick to reply. Fingers crossed Guessing still no joy on the new case? I've been keeping an eye on the website and I even tried emailing them - seems they're just not selling these anymore [emoji22] Not yet no. Checking the site every day or so for their new cases. There was a brief video/photo on their Facebook page of them testing the new version of cases, but nothing on their site yet. I'll get a photo up here shortly to confirm we're talking about the same version.
  17. Thanks Whilst I haven't tried, I'm guessing that removing a share should also remove any docker volume mappings it's involved with too if that's the case.
  18. Hi - this is probably not a common occurrence, and it's likely more hassle to implement than to workaround, but here goes... Is it possible that if you change the name of a User Share that unRAID could potentially also update the volume mappings in any Dockers that include this share? I'm currently having a major restructure of my unRAID server (following a complete migration to it for all data, plus conversion over to Plex from VOB files). As I'm going along, shares are being renamed (for example, "Movies (converted)" to just "Movies". I keep needing to remind myself to update the dockers that point to these folders, and it would be nice if unRAID cascaded these changes (or gave me the option, or reminded me to do it). No huge deal obviously (although in my stupidity, a given set of circumstances could have dropped a library or two off Plex) - I guess it boils down to the philosophy of unRAID and its implementation of Dockers.
  19. Could it be because this is a manual update? (the message on screen stated "Please update manually") Deleting and recreating the docker (although a little daunting for the first time) worked fine.
  20. Wonderful, thank you! This community is very helpful.
  21. Great stuff, thank you. I'm having problems with subtitles in Plex at the moment, so I can wait around
  22. This is what's confusing me (pretty average Joe user) - there are several dockers that seemingly do the same thing, with little information to differentiate them (aside from trawling through pages of support). I picked the Limetech one, thinking it had a kind of "official" feel about it. I don't particularly need the very latest version (at the moment), but will look into switching - sounds daunting. Bear with me - still learning about this!
  23. As mentioned, tried that - does not work. Could be because it's a manual update for Plex?
