Hello, I have an array of about 8 Disks, off which Disk 1 is disabled and needs replacing. While i will get to doing so in a few days, i just noticed i am unable to write any data to the array. It starts copying files but then slowly slows down and completely stops... Is this normal ? Previously with a disabled disk i am able to use the server just fine. any advice? Thanks

Hello, I have one of my HDD disabled and when i try to start the array i just cant seem to get it enabled. It shows a red cross mark against that HDD. However that HDD passes all Smart tests. Is there anyway i can re-enable the HDD or what is my next course of action? Thanks

Someone please advice, this issue is still present and i am unable to stop the array.

Since the past couple of days i have been facing this wierd issue where when i try to stop the array, it keep re-trying to un-mount shares and it goes on and on! It wont stop the array for hours and ultimately through ssh i have to manually initiate a shutdown/reboot. Since this reboots the system i am unable to get a log for this either... Any clues as to what could be wrong?

Hello, i am unable to delete or move files created by the rutorrent docker, i mean the torrents i downloaded using rutorrent. I keep getting a Unix file permission error, those files can only be copy-pasted. And only deleted using the rutorrent interface or manually via ssh. Is there some file permission i could update to fix this? I am sure this is not the problem with the download dir as the deluge docker which i use, uses the same folder and those file can be moved just fine.

I have attached 2 screenshots, please take a look. Under server setting no matter what Interface i select i cannot connect to the server.

I understand that, i can connect to the webui just fine, i did not play around with any setting in the webui, i tried switching the network adapter setting in the 'server settings' however the connectivity test fails no matter what network host i select and i cannot connect to the server via VPN.
-
Can i rule this out to be a port forwarding issue? As when i am in the same wifi network i can connect via VPN on my iPhone just fine, but when i switch off the wifi and try to connect it wont connect...
-
Thank you, i figured that out however i am trying all the various network interfaces under 'server setting' but on all of them the 'connectivity test' fails. I have done port forwarding on my router. So i dont know what could be wrong.

I managed to get it, however i cannot find where to get the openvpn files for the user that i added? I mean the profile config files so i can use them on another machine to login via VPN.

I just noticed in the 'Dashboard' under the SMART status of 4 Disk it all shows a "Command Timeout:1 " error. What could this because off?
-
Ok, thanks a lot. From the screenshot of the disk errors i had attached in 2 post above can you understand the nature of the error? Is it a bad sector ? A bit off-topic, i am one of those members who are facing the slow parity check issues with the SAS2LP controllers. I read somewhere on the forums about a plugin called tuntables, would this really help me as well?

*Update* I just bought a new Disk to replace the old damaged one, should i just plug it in the slot of the old one and let the data re-built? Once again to my question in the old post, will the complete data re-built even if a parity check was not run after moving new data onto the array?
-
I have about half the data backed-up from the damaged disk. Since you mentioend parity check cannot be run on a damaged disk, does that mean that the data which i had copied recently (around 1.5TB) on that disk is un-safe? Because a parity check was not run since i copied the data. Also, will the data get re-built after inserting the new disk or no?

I connected the Disk in question to my PC and ran a couple of HDD test app's and they all showed the HDD as failed. I have attached the screenshots for the same. I guess i have to RMA the drive now. My question now is, currently i have stopped the array and shutdown the server. However when i connect this disk to my PC, it gets detected and shows up under the 'Disk management' app but no actual partition/data content is shown for that disk under 'My Computer' so it leaves me with no way to currently backup the data on this drive (just as a safe side, i know unRaid would re-built the
