  1. Thanks for the help, this seems to fox the problem at least temporarily. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. Uploaded to the first post. Directly after a powerdown / poweron. Thanks guys.
  3. Johnnie, aren't those the right diagnostics in the pastebin link? If I go to Tools->Diagnostics I get a bunch of directories and files to download. Which one do I exactly need? I thought the SMART and syslog (pastebin link) would be the ones...
  4. Updated the log to the first post. The other drives give a proper SMART report.
  5. I woke up this morning to an error email coming from urnaid. Checking the server showed a failure on one of the disks and it being diabled and the contents emulated. Is this disk gone for good, or is there anything I could do about it? Thanks tower-diagnostics-20161225-1828.zip
  6. Thanks for the advice. I hooked the unRAID box up to a screen to find out, that it just wasn't booting. So, before doing a lot of troubleshooting I decided to reinstall. After copying my /config over the (now working) new installation it broke it. I got rid of the powerdown and preclear plugins and bootet into GUI mode once, which somehow did the trick. It's running for now.
  7. I was SO much awaiting this release... after the reboot I can't: ... reach the web interface ... see it under network ... ping it ... the router can't find it either Now, I didn't hook it up to a monitor yet, because that's a huge PITA with my setup. Any other ideas? Could I just pull the usb drive and fix it on my workstation? Thanks
  8. Sorry, but which log would you exactly mean? Where does the plugin try to download packages? Maybe those sites are blocked as well - it wouldn't surprise me. Thanks
  9. I edited unraids hosts file and redirected google.com / www.google.com to g.cn, which fixes the problem of "not having an internet connection" (not sure if that's such a great idea though?!). I still can't start the plugin though.
  10. Ah I almost thought that. I'm located in China, where google.com is blocked. Any chance of changing this setting? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. Hi and thank you for writing this plugin. I just tried setting it up, but unfortunately I always get an error "No Internet Connection Detected" in the information panel of the plugin. unRAID definitely has access to the internet. Did I miss something somewhere? Thanks Edit: To clarify things: I'm not trying to expose ProFTPD to the internet. My Problem is, that I can't start the service. Sorry for not being clear enough. Thanks.
  12. Seems to have worked great. Thank you.
  13. So I would simply overwrite those files you mentioned during running system and reboot afterwards?
  14. Sorry, I guess I was unclear My other computers are often connected via a VPN, which makes downloading the zip (https://s3.amazonaws.com/dnld.lime-technology.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.1.0-x86_64.zip) pretty fast. So I was wandering, if I could just put this zip on the flash drive and invoke the update from the WebUI with the system realizing there's already an update zip and using that instead of downloading... I'd rather get around stopping the machine, opening it up, unplugging etc... Thanks
  15. The new update looks great. But is there a way of downloading the file and placing it into wherever the "plugins update" would look for it? If I try updating over the WebUI, the download is just sooooo slow. I currently live in China, which throttles some connections going overseas...
  16. That did not help unfortunately... Any other idea?
  17. No easily more than 30 GB left
  18. I never updated through the plugin page though, just tried to. Thanks though, I'll soft through that thread [emoji24]
  19. I tried updating from the last version (downloaded two weeks ago) to the cent RC over the plugins page, but I always get an checksum error for the downloaded file. Any advice? Thanks
  20. Thanks for all the great advice So I started tinkering with a flexget docker. It installs and starts *woohoo clap on the back*. A lot of apps have those pretty web interfaces, which flexget obviously doesn't need. But you can do a bunch of stuff on the commandline. How would I get to that?
  21. How would one actually go about creating one's own templates / Dockers? I searched the net up and down but can't seam to find any tutorial or guide on this. The repos offered by the community are great, but I would 1) like to really understand how these things have been created and 2) have one or two shots in mind that people most likely will not dockerize. Thanks for now [emoji1] D.
  22. Ok. Thanks for the great advice to all. I'm really amazed by this forum.
  23. Are you saying I would render my drive unusable, if I abort at the wrong moment? Am I understanding this correctly?
  24. Hi, I tried the search, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm currently pre-clearing three drives and started the process with three cycles in mind. This has been going on for over 20 hours now and I'm wondering if I could just abort the pre-clearing after one cycle and be done with it... will I still get the results? Is one cycle enough? Thanks, D.
  25. Hi community, I've been reading in the forums and am amazed what people do with their unRAID boxes. My minimum requirements to the setup would be the use of plex (max 2 streams), deluge / rtorrent, rsync, btsync, backup sets to external drives. I'd be really thankful I could get a few comments on this build: Asrock Z97 Extreme 6 http://asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Extreme6/index.de.asp Intel i7-4790 @ 3.6 GHz OR Intel i5-4590 @ 3.3 Ghz (Xeon processors seem pretty difficult to get from trustworthy sources here in Shanghai) Corsair CX500M - 500W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139050&cm_re=CORSAIR_CX_CX500M-_-17-139-050-_-Product Fractal Design Define R5 Kingston DDR3 1600 8GB (still searching, but ECC RAM seems pretty difficult to get from trustworthy sources here in Shanghai) clarified by HellDiverUK HDD: For starters I would like to use what I have lying around and slowly shift towards WD Reds (3TB+) I also have some other questions and would really appreciate comments and / or advice. [*]Would this build be too loud for a living room environment? I understand everyone has a different noise tollerance... but you know. What do you think? [*]I was reading up on virtualisation in the forums and the Lime website. Is it possible (with this hardware) to virtualize a OS that has direct access to the hardware? E.g. Run a video game on Steam / Windows; access my (usb) dongled security software on Windows; setup a render slave for my rendering software on Linux... You get the idea. Or does this function like it would with VirtualBox etc? [*]How much processing power does unRAID itself really need? Thanks so much for reading this far. Appreciate any critic & comment. D. Edit: Would anything be overkill?
