  1. Hi, I was just playing around with SteamOS and was wondering if someone got it working using OVMF? For me it crashes even before the installation process. SealBIOS works fine.
  2. Are there any news if this might be possible with the release of v6.2 already? I'm very exited to use my Q25 build with LibreELEC and SteamOS at once
  3. Normally I shut it down cleanly, so its stopped after wakeup. I did not try to suspend it yet. Help please
  4. Hi, I'm using the S3 sleep plugin to set my server to sleep when not in use. What I want to do know is to start my LibreELEC VM after each wake up. So how do I achive this? Is there any command I can put in the custom command field of the S3 sleep plugin maybe? Thanks, Marv
  5. Hi, I have a problem to start my LibreELEC VM after S3 sleep automatically. The "Auto Start" button in the VM settings is only meant to start the VM after starting the array, is that correct? So is there any command I can use to wake my VM after sleep? Thanks in advance.
  6. edit: don't know why, but the error is gone and everything is working again
  7. Hi, I just reinstalled the crashplan docker because I had the black screen issue before (described a few pages back) But now, when I try to enter the webUI I get: "Failed to connect to server (code: 1006)" Does anyone know how to solve this please?
  8. Hi, I want to do the same thing. Just wondering if you used some tutorial or something to setup the Ubuntu virtual desktop!? Because I never used Ubuntu before and don't really know where to start.
  9. Yeah I noticed this aswell. But for me the actual backup works. I just receive the error message and don't see any echo messages. I don't have permission to open the cache_backup.log file aswell -------------------- update: I just switched my destination to a single disk share and now the error is gone. Seems that there is the same problem with the teamspeak3 container as with the plex cointainer then. But I still don't get were to wach the logs of the script (e.g. "echo `date` "Starting cache drive backup to " $BackupDir >> $LogFile" When I type in var/log/cache_backup.log I get: -bash: /var/log/cache_backup.log: Permission denied
  10. Thanks RobJ, I changed it but am still receiving the rsync error. Don't know what is causing that. I also don't receive any of the echoes.
  11. okay thanks it is working now but I get rsync: failed to set times on "/mnt/user/Backup/cache/appdata/teamspeak3/log/server": No such file or directory (2) rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1165) [sender=3.1.0] But it seems that everything was copied over, so no files are actually missing. I also don't see any of the echo messages such as "Starting cache drive backup to " in the webUI log. Do I have to look anywhere else here?
  12. hm, when I do this I get -bash: /boot/scripts/cache_backup.sh: /bin/bash^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory copied the script posted by tmchow in into /boot/scripts and just adjusted some of the paths to fit my requirements. What am I missing here?
  13. Thanks for this Will try this myself. Just curious which command do I have to use to run the .sh-script manually?
  14. I have another question regarding the volume mappings. Is it possible to add another mapping just for the user files so that I have for example /var/www/owncloud/data >> /mnt/cache/appdata/owncloud and another one like /user >> /mnt/user/owncloud Is this possible somehow? Because I'd like to have the appdata folder on my cache as I have with all other containers but the user files on my array for protection. How do other people handle this?
  15. just be patient. I had the same problem. It took some time for me aswell until it started. Hmmm, yeah I remember I had problems too. But I found this guys quote, enjoy! http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=35052.msg455964#msg455964 Hm, thanks for help but I don't see any difference to the HeidiSQL instructions except that MySQLWorkbench is used. Did you receive the same error as me and do you also use HeidiSQL? still can't get this to work. Did anyone has this issue aswell and solved it? I finally solved it. I had to put a % in "from host" instead of using my local LAN in HeidiSQL But I don't know really why I have to do this because as I understand this it should work the other way aswell!?
  16. Hi, I finally put in my new GT720 and tried starting the VM (after adjusting everything as described in the first post) Unfortunately my screen just stays black and does not seem to get a signal. What I get from the logs is just this: 2016-04-09 10:15:42.478+0000: starting up libvirt version: 1.2.18, qemu version: 2.3.0 Domain id=6 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=6 is tainted: custom-argv Domain id=6 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) The unRAID system information tab says both HVM and IOMMU enabled. Is there anything I may have forgotten? Did someone else experienced this issue? update: I got it! Don't really know what did it but I updated the BIOS and changed the primary monitor in the BIOS from auto (pcie used when graphics card installed) to cpu.

  18. I reinstalled my owncloud because I wanted to try mariaDB myself. I simply backedup my files on another computer. Then I deleted everything and started over. When you see the "Creating DH Parameters File" just relax and wait, for me it took about 15 minutes to get past that and I got good performance in my server. it's working now, thank you. Well at least the webUI is loading When I try to access my mariadb database I get the following error "Error while trying to create admin user: Failed to connect to the database: An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'Marv'@'172.17.42.1' (using password: YES)" I followed the steps described by cirkator and replaced "localhost" with my unraids ip adress. I also used HeidSQL to create the database so I don't really know where I made a mistake. Is there anything I may have forgotten what is not described by cirkator maybe? Please help a noob Hmmm, yeah I remember I had problems too. 19. thanks, I'll backup the appdata for each container except the one for crashplan to my array then. Another thing I just noticed... I use the s3 sleep plugin and it triggers when all drives of the array are spun down. With crashplan running (I noticed that two times already) it happens that my drives including parity always keep spinning. I don't have files to backup selected yet so crashplan shouldn't do anything I think. When I stop the container all drives spin down as normal. Is there some setting that can cause this behavior?
  20. okay, thanks for clarifiying. So what I want to do is backing up my appdata folder if my cache drive should fail. Would it be possible then to restore all my docker applications after manually reinstalling crashplan first?
  21. Okay, thanks for clearing up. I'll remove the /flash mount then. btw, here is a screenshot of the destination window within crashplan. All the mounted paths are in there: backup, config, unassigned, UNRAID Where do all the other folders come from?

  23. Hi, yesterday I set up the crashplan container and don't really understand the need of some of the default volume mappings. So for me it looks like this: /config >> /mnt/cache/appdata/crashplan/ /UNRAID >> /mnt/user /unassigned >> /mnt/disks (what is this mapping for?) /backup >> /mnt/user/Backup/ (I think I don't actually need this one because I already have the second mapping right?) /flash >> /boot (I added this one manually) I also noticed that when browsing in crashplan for a destination folder for example it lists a few folders where I don't actually know where they are comming from. Are these maybe folders from inside the docker.img? (Can't post a screenshot right now) Maybe someone can clear me up here. Thank you
  24. Hi, I just reinstalled my owncloud container because I want to try using it with mariadb. Unfortunately I can't connect to the webUI anymore. In the log it says: No pre-existing certificate found, generating a new one with subject: /C=US/ST=CA/L=City/O=Organization/OU=Organization Unit/CN=yourhome.com fix_config.php server.key server.pem Creating DH Parameters File. I read somewhere that I need to create new server.key and server.pem files but I don't really know how to do this and if I need to change the environment variables in the docker advanced view tab or something. Can someone help me out please?
  25. Okay I'll give this a try the next days. Thank you. Another question. Yesterday I installed OE the way it is described in this thread via VNC. After installation I made the primary image my first boot disk by changing the xml file. But when I boot my OE VM the welcome screen won't show up via VNC. I can only see the OE boot dialogues stating that everything is ready to use. Is this the normal behavior without having a GPU passed through yet? Because I thought I would be able to configure Kodi that way before installing my graphics card. Sorry for the noob question. I'm still new to this
