  1. Thanks. If it ends up being the PSU the problem (hopefully) then i'm going to exchange The one i ordered for the new Seasonic 850 titanium or the 1050w platinum.
  2. Yes, unless you're using VERY high-end graphics cards. I'm using dual 1080's. Would this PSU be fine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ETEFTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cZFOybZ2XRAPH I would suggest you google PSU calculator and add your hardware. Outervision PSU calculator suggest you use a 1000w PSU... I ordered it for now. Just want to make sure the PSU is not the issue. I can always return/exchange it once I figure out what the issue is.

  4. Would 850w be enough for two gpu's and 20 wd red drives?
  5. Should I get a Seasonic or Corsair PSU? Which do you guys recommend?
  6. Do not put it on top of the antistatic bag! That might cause damage. I know, not sure why he even mentioned that. I always put them on top of a piece card board
  7. I already tried booting it up without ram or cou. My mb needs both cpu's to post. Feel free to read precious replies to see what exactly did.
  8. I didn't send them the CPU or RAM just the board. I took the board out of the chassis and it gave me same problem.
  9. So my motherboard arrives back tomorrow. Supermicro didn't charge me anything for repairs so i decided to email them. Got a response today saying that nothing is wrong with the MB and it booted up just fine with both cpu sockets populated. Can it be the psu even if the tester shows it's working properly?

@mata7 What version is your backplane?
  11. Tested the MB with the tester that I ordered from Amazon and it's in working condition. Supermicro approved the RMA and the MB was shipped yesterday. Lets see what they say. Fingers crossed
  12. I have an extra 600w psu but i can't find the 8-pin cpu connector just one. Can i still test it out like that by just powering one cpu or do i need both connectors? EDIT: Tried it, same results. I'm convinced now that the MB is dead
  13. Highly doubt it's the PSU but just ordered a PSU tester from Amazon. Should arrive by Monday HDE 20+4 Pin LCD Power Supply Tester for ATX, ITX, BTX, PCI-E, SATA, HDD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005UZHB6G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_43JLybQAF3SRV
  14. I never said i got a Supermicro chassis. It's a Norco chassis
  15. MB is dead. I tried to boot it up with no CPU/RAM and no beep or display. I put in an RMA request with Supermicro yesterday. Patiently waiting for their response
  16. I already tried taking the MB out of the chassis to see if it boots and no luck. The new chassis didn't come with a PSU so i transfered the one i was using. I just cleared the CMOS and no fix. I'm going to remove the cpu's and boot it up like that and see if i get any beeps. Here is a video of the boot up process. I turn it on it starts, shuts down on it's own seconds later and starts back up and stays on
  17. The video shows how it starts up, shuts down and then starts again on it's own and stays running. No beep no post no display nothing. Not sure how much else I can show if it's not working? The green light would never flash green. It would always be a solid green no flashing or anything The MB is a X9DR7-LN4F Did you check if you have a spacer shorting the motherboard? I did and there was an extra mb standoff so I removed it but it still wont boot up. I don't think it's my PSU because the system stays on.
  18. dammit, you're right. I'll record it again later tonight and add it.

  20. Fixed the link. The system was working fine in the other chassis before migrating it.
  21. Hey guys, going crzy here trying to figure out what the problem can be. I picked up a new 4u chassis and transfered everything over to the new case. Now the system boots up but no post or beep. Nothing was changed hardware wise. Only thing that was removed was the psu and pci cards to be able to transfer all the items. I removed all the items and just left the MB connected and same issue. The system was working perfectly fine before. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
  22. I want to use Guacamole also. If someone realiable takes over and updates it, I'll donate
  23. The .DS_Store script wasn't working for me. Looked into it and it needs to be ._.DS_Store not .DS_Store. Edited it and all good now Edit: Is it possible to add to the script a a status? I'd like to know when it's done lol
  24. Just installed the plugin and i'm not seeing the included scripts. Am I missing something? EDIT: Found them
