  1. Whoa, so get this - mine resolved itself too. Didn't change a thing. That is so odd.
  2. I'm having the identical problem since moving to 6.10. Happens in MKVToolnix, FileBot, MakeMKV, and handbrake-nvenc by zocker160 all have the same issue. And as you said - works in a private window, but not in standard. Always shows a blank screen and a server disconnect. Switch to private tab and it connects and works. Not self resolving for me. Maybe more time needed.
  3. Installing this plugin makes unraid not save my dashboard configuration. The tiles all move to their default locations. Uninstalling the plugin corrects it. Is this a known behavior or is there a known fix for it? Thanks!
  4. Ok, here's the log after a crash. Interestingly didn't get a kernel panic this time, just became unresponsive and needed a hard reset. Leading up to this, the system had only been on a few hours, no changes to it from previous (it had been on over a week with no problem, only shut it down to switch a power cable). The log is full of stuff that isn't usually there, so I'm assuming it's indicative of the problem. Some of the symptoms were a few cores spiked to 100%, and then the system ground to a halt a few minutes later. If anyone has insights, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! diagnostic.rtf
  5. Thanks, I'll give it a go. That was a nice, easy tutorial.
  6. Can't make heads or tails of it myself, anyone have any advice? Leads to a complete hard lockup of the system. Always reboots fine, though. Running 6.8.3. Nothing has changed in the system, that I know of, since this began. Mem test came back clean.
  7. nope. https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-and-decode-gpu-support-matrix-new
  8. I do have PiHole, tried disabling it, still no dice. Oddly enough, the other Nvidia builds download fine as well - it's just 6.8.2 that doesn't work. Really weird. Might just wait awhile.
  9. Currently trying to update to 6.8.2 - stuck at the download screen...isn't downloading. If I select any of the standard builds, they work. Some issue server-side? Anyone else seeing this?
  10. I love the ability to mix and match drives. More recently, the plethora of docker and VM options got me to purchase a second license. It's just too easy to set up, haha. I would like to see the ability to have multiple drive pools or manage multiple servers from a single pane of glass.
  11. Have been on unraid since 2015. Allowed me to build a server I never thought possible (given my total lack of Linux knowledge). Please keep up the great work
  12. So what's the proper way to fix it if I'm seeing: Warning: parse_ini_file(state/network.ini): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/template.php on line 43 Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/template.php on line 43 Delete config/plugins/dynamix.plg on the flashdrive then reboot the server powerdown -r Worked like a charm No! I removed the dynamix.plg and restarted. Then i updated to 6.2 without updating anything else. Now I cannot reach the webGui... Give it a bit... Possibly doing the one time upgrade to all the docker images which may take some time. Can you still see your SMB shares over the network? I'm having the identical issue. Upgraded. Couldn't reach webgui, removed the .plg. Now it boots - I can access shares, but still no webgui or docker apps. I can hear the drives cranking - so maybe what you said is happening? Any better indication of when it's done or whatever? EDIT: naturally it comes up like 5 seconds after I post this. Sorry. Ugh. Patience IS a virtue. Thanks all.
  13. Followed your instructions - worked perfectly. It's humming away on a parity sync. Thank you so much! The disk itself was a case of me being sloppy - I'd pulled it from a PC of mine and sort of suspected it had some issues but kind of ignored them. Forgot about them and tossed it in the server. Tons of bad sector errors. Didn't run the pre-clear script, just whatever the default unRAID clear and format is for a newly added disk. Will run pre-clear in the future to test for this sort of thing. Good learning experience.
  14. So last night I stuck a new disk in my array. It went through the clear and format, etc. Afterwards, it started throwing errors like crazy and I've determined the disk is bad. I have removed the disk from the array and now it shown as missing. I just want to tell unRaid to ignore the disk ever existed and go back to having 7 disks instead of 8. To my knowledge, no data was written or should be lost, so it's of no concern. How do I go about just telling unRaid to quit the missing errors and basically treat the disk as lost? Unraid 6.1.6
  15. Did you find it? I stuck it in the banner thread a few down from this one. If not, let me know and I'll post it for you.
  16. Just picked up an APC BR1300G as a battery backup solution - plugged it in, turned on the APC daemon in unRAID and it just works! Fantastic work team. Easiest set up I've ever seen. Made me very happy. Pics: http://imgur.com/a/GZdCW
  17. That's a nice set up - not terribly dissimilar from what I did. The irony is the rails probably would've worked for me - I was just too lazy to ship them back if they didn't based on the reviews. Update us when you build your new random I love the just because builds.
  18. I noticed the MakeMKV site has been down for around 5 days - is this a concern as far as updating the key? Do we even need to? (I noticed the Docker version tells you the eval is up but doesn't stop you).
  19. That's what I do. Win7 + BI. Same here. I tried Zoneminder and at the end of the day I just couldn't deal with it. I wanted uncomplicated.
  20. I'd definitely buy it again in a heartbeat. Norco also sells the shelves necessary. Part of this could all be my noobishness - just got such varied complaints from reviewers I figured I'd go the safe route and not fuss with rails.
  21. Tell us more about that half-rack on rollers! Sweet Setup!!! The half-rack is a Norco R4-15U. I wanted something that wasn't too big (the whole thing sits in a closet) but could roll out for when I want to tinker. It's built like a tank. A bunch of reviews online said it wouldn't accept a lot of standard-sized components, but so far I haven't experienced this. However, there is some funniness with the rail system. Norco uses weird rails and I couldn't get them working on here so I bought a shelf to hold the whole 4U unit. So right now it's got the 4U server held by a shelf, a cantilevered shelf for the cable modem and wireless router, and then there's a power center and 24-port switch strapped to the back. Attached some pics, sorry for the potato. It looks messy-ish but it's actually pretty good.
  22. I was going for an Intel/tech feel.
  23. Why would you need VNC if you have RDP? But yeah, changing the VM graphics from physical to virtual is fairly trivial. Well, as far as I know RDC doesn't start until most Windows services have loaded, so if you're trying to watch the startup process, or start a safe mode session...things along those lines, you'd need VNC. (Then again, I may be a total newb on all this).
