I know I keep digging up an old thread but it beats starting a new one for no reason. Im looking at getting this board. Do you see me having any issues running a cheap GPU for unraid and good GPU for Win10 VM a SAS card and a Network card all at once? I know there are a few issues with IOMMU groups with alot of X399 boards which is the reason for the NIC and dont really need USB pass through per say as ill be RDP via a thin client.

Will be following this thread with interest as im thinking about buy either this board or the Gigabyte X399 AORUS Xtreme.

I currently have the 3 SSD's in unraid which is setup in its default config. I have a 1 x 500GB, 1 x 250GB and 1 x 120GB for a total pool of 435GB. I know if I set the balance parameter to "-dconvert=single -mconvert=raid1" it will set the size to about 800GB or there abouts. What I would like to know is if its possible to split the cache drivers completely so I have one cache drive that is made up of the 500GB SSD by itself giving me about 435 GB and the second being made of the the 250GB and the 120GB giving about 340GB.

CP keeps saying there is an update, but when you go to update it no data gets pulled. Anyone know why this is happening?

I would have thought that if it was plex related and I stopped plex from running the warning would go away. The warning is still there.

Im not sure to be honest, how can i check?

I use the "Fix common problems" plugin and got a warning today I have never had before. Rootfs file is getting full - Possibly an application is storing excessive amount of data in /tmp. I have this error in the logs which im not sure about "socket.error: [Errno 98] Address in use". Does anyone have an idea what this may mean?

I remember reading one upon a time on how to merge cache drivers but cant seem to find it this time round. I currently have 1 cache drive but will be putting in 2 more ssd's that im going to use as cache as well. However here is the tricky part. The cache that is in there at the moment is a 512GB SSD and the 2 drives im going to put in there are both 250GB SSD's. I want unraid to see the original 512GB SSD as one cache drive but see the other 2 SSD's as 1 large second cache drive. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers

Ok so I have finally had a chance to setup openvpn-as and everything is working fine. I have installed openvpn connect on my iPhone and connected to the openvpn server just fine. So here is a stupid question as I set this up thinking I will be able to VPN to my unraid server. So it that possible from an iPhone? Sorry I’m a openvpn noob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am currently using the Privoxy option on the DelugeVPN container and have all the other containers like couchpotato and sickchill running the proxy through privoxy on DelugeVPN, it is allowing me to connect to some sites but not other sites. What other options are there available that would give me access to all the sites I need? I live in Australia so due to internet filtering accessing some sites are an issue like IPTorrents for example. Thanks in advance for your help.

I do use DelugeVPN so will have to look into this Privoxy thing.

I love the Docker.... however can I request you add VPN support to the docker. My government is blocking more and more sites every year.

Yes I was doing the port check from outside the docker. That explains that. PIA dont allow you to port forward from the site. They do have port forwarding enabled gateways, which when using the desktop app will tell you what the port number is, however not sure how I would even work out what the port number is from inside the container.... if that makes sense.

I am requesting a little bit of help or advise on an issue I am having. I am currently using DelugeVPN which works fine. However I am having issues with port forwarding. I set up a port forward in my router but when I test to see if that port is open using canyouseeme.org it tells me its not open. The VPN I use is PIA. Is this a limitation of using a VPN? What other options do I have? I know I have port forwarding set up correctly because plex works fine with a port forward, purely because it is not running behind a VPN.

Hi, I started using pulseway on my daily PC and thought I would try and set it up on unraid. I do however have a question or two if anyone could help. Following the instruction it says "Copy the pulseway_x64.txz to /boot/extra (this is also the flash smb share so flash/extra)" As seen by the attached image of my FLASH I dont have an extra folder. I assume I will need to create a "extra" folder?

This may seem like a silly question but want to be sure in any case. If reference to "Max size for the cache" does the g stand for GB?

Sorry if I am posting in wrong forum. I currently have my br0 gateway set as 192.168.1.0/24 as the route. This is conflicting with my wireless AP which has the ip 192.168.1.1. So I want to change the route for br0 to 192.168.2.0/24. The problem I have is I cant delete the original br0 gateway. I have taken the array off-line in the hopes that will allow me to delete it.... no go. I have tried creating the new gateway with 192.168.2.0/24 + br0 + metric 1 first and then try deleting the old gateway... no go. So I guess the question remains.... can it even be deleted? Any ideas what Im doing wrong? Cheers

Sorry I havent kept up to date on this as I have been super busy at work. IMHO to get the best results and use out of pfsense running on a VM you really want to have a separate dual NIC if you can spare a x4 slot on your board that is. My setup uses a billion modem router which is setup as a modem only and because pfsense uses dual NIC it can afford me to use one port to handle my WAN connection and one port to handle my gateway. From there I have a 8 port switch that is connected to the gateway port. It may sound like a funny way to do it, but doing it like this I set a static ip for unraid and because all pc's are connected to the switch I can communicate with them at all time... even when pfsense isnt running. If you want more clarification just let me know.
