  1. I also had trouble with this until I checked "use custom port" in plex and set it to 32400. I was then able to forward to that port in my router's "port forwarding" config. I'm sure there's a reason for this and another way around it, but that worked for me.
  2. Hi all, Goal: Enter bios remotely (from local network) - change settings - boot into unRaid I've got a fresh server setup with unRaid 6 - it's running and serving media all over the place - Yeah! The hardware is a Tyan S7012 with an AST2050 (KVM/IPMI) http://www.tyan.com/manuals/AST2050_Manual_v100.pdf <- I've read this...it didn't help. I'm a windows guy and the machine i'd like to use to access the unRaid box's bios is running windows 10. I don't fully understand the difference between IPMI and KVM over IP - but it sounds like I need KVM over IP to access the Bios. Halp! Serious thanks and appreciation for the great support here, Rob
  3. To follow up - I ended up going with crashplan / owncloud as it was a simpler user experience. If amazon had automation tools like crashplan I would have used them for the unlimited photo storage.
  4. Hi All, I'd like to be able to access unRaid folders (located on my home network) from work. From home I am able to view the unRaid folder as I would any other windows folder (I believe using SMB). The folder shows up under "Network -> Tower -> 'MyShare' etc" That's great! Now, how would I extend this user experience to remote use cases? Would I have to create a VPN into my private network? Is there an application/plugin which allows a remote folder to be viewed as if it were a normal windows folder? I've tried OwnCloud - but the desktop app wants to sync everything locally. Since i have several TB of files, this won't work. I'd like to be able to view the files remotely, easily, not sync the entire folder to every connected machine. The webapp for owncloud is just too slow and requires the files be downloaded in order to edit them.
  5. Hi all, I store all of my photos on a unraid server. Now that Amazon offers unlimited photo storage (even raw) I'm thinking it's a good time to automate backup to the cloud. Are there any simple solutions for one way sync to Amazon from a share or folder?
