  1. I have been running Unraid 6 for a few months now. Docker covers all my media and networking applications, Unraid itself does the NAS/Parity part awesomely well. I am now at a point where I want to upgrade my CPU. I still have a gaming rig around and naturally I have wondered how to make the most of my current Hardware. I will figure the Details out myself but I have one simple question: If I migrate my gaming rig and merge it into my Unraid Server, how to I turn on the VM on demand? Pressing the Power button naturally wont work for this, but I feel like having the VM always on with my Server is a waste of energy. Can this be done without accessing the Webinterface at all? Ideally using Unraid my PC would feel and operate the same way it does now. Maybe turning on the VM at a USB key stroke would work?
  2. any success on creating a template for this? ideally it would store the certificate files to /mnt/cache/appdata/nginx/cert (a path accessible by nginx docker) and run on port 80/443 so one would just have to stop nginx to run lets encrypt once every three months. that would be ideal
  3. hi, i currently am using your tvheadend stable 4 container quite successfully. Any hints on how to add picons? Also the plex Tvheadend ng bundle doesnt work for me.. I considered switching to your unstable container, but it does not run behind my reverse proxy. Is there an option to set a path prefix on unstable?
  4. Please update the Plexpass docker. The last Update implemented a faulty disk space check and thus broke transcoding. Seems there was a fix released today.
  5. Did so. With values set to Normalized the warning signs are now gone. The missing shares are still an issue, though. Compute all doesnt solve this...
  6. Hey, thanks for the update. I have set the "Default SMART notification value:" to "Normalized" No more warning signs (as with unRAID 6.1.3) do show up, although my SMART values (naturally) have stayed the same. Maybe a preference for Normalized would help.
  7. I have made some changes in the dashboard page for reporting of the SMART status. Previously there was only thumbs UP or DOWN, but now added a WARNING level too. I guess it needs a bit more fine tuning, see also this topic. Are you using some RAID controller to connect your disks? Which browser are you using? I use my onboard SATA controller. What might help is the HDD (Seagate 8TB Archive v2) i am using: https://www.smartmontools.org/ticket/551 the value 188 seems vendor specific.. Browser is latest Chrome stable
  8. After the update I got 2 of my previously fine drives showing SMART warnings (hdd1 and cache). Also shares are not showing up on the according page, too (have cleared browser cache). Reverting to 6.1.3 brought back the all is fine green thumb up. Did you change the smartctl tools dramatically?
  9. Sorry guys, I created most of the templates for myself, but thought someone might benefit from my modifications. I initially pushed the wrong xml to github and updated it soon after. I removed plexrequests/socks from the templates for now. Please post here if there are any further issues. I run plexrequests on non-standard ports, because my unraid also serves an nginx server on 80 and 443. With some iptables modifications I managed to get plexrequests working on my ATV, but posters don't show (as in: they are grey). I thought it might be the PIL install being faulty. What I found out yesterday is the following: since plexrequests runs in a docker, the iptables fiddling causes images to stop passing through. All one needs to do is add the Docker network range, that of PMS and one's WAN ip to the hosts without requiring auth on Plex web, no need to use my fork.. ill remove/update the template accordingly. EDiT: in the meantime this has been fixed by not running your docker in bridge mode. I thus have removed my fork Inside the description of each template the differences should be sufficiently explained. I also have updated this thread.
  10. I have recently migrated my Windows 10 "Server" setup to unRAID and will never look back. One thing I miss dearly, though. I use my server for Plex mostly (and some further automation stuff) so this JBOD and its dockerization features feel more polished to me than RDPing into a native Windows machine. (Also yay to parity!) On windows I had set up a set of rules within this awesome app: http://getsmartpower.co.uk/ To automatically go to sleep when network traffic was below 25kb/s AND CPU usage was below 30% for five minutes. The twist was: smartpower automatically woke up my server according to a schedule and kept it on. Also the server would wake up without magic packets, so any network traffic and ~10 seconds later my machine was available. What this meant was the following: enormous power savings for me since my server ran only between 4pm-10pm on weekdays and 8am-24pm on weekends. I feel like a proper adaption of this idea would be a great benefit for average unRAID users. Their savings could pay for 2 basic keys a year. EDiT: Added savings calculator screenshot. I kid you not, this tool saved me 100€ last year (confirmed by a lower bill)
  11. hi! using plexconnect on my atv3 works to a certain degree... every single image is left blank (as in posters/fanart/library logos are all grey. pil seems inherently broken here. i tried to fork your docker and add an alternative install for pil, but its not working either. is it working fine for you?
  12. Have you tried deleting the config folder before adding it again? Be sure to delete both image and container. Thanks for the reply. On the initial setup the app works fine. I did try removing the config folder, but as soon as i drag & drop a track in the merge section or after starting/restarting the app it all goes to black. Seems like the graphical interface crashes on moving stuff... (The blackscreen stays, no matter if I use guacamole or RDP)

I've taken this strip from my default wallpaper since 2012. It's somehow soothing to me
  14. EDiT: The following container works flawlessly! Just browse the Community Apps as suggested above or visit: https://hub.docker.com/r/aptalca/nginx-letsencrypt/ Those of us lucky enough to have gotten an invite to Let's Encrypts Closed Beta (and those soon joining the Open one) would surely be interested in a running container version of their tool. What I am looking for: -Simple way to give letsencrypt the information required of my server -Access to my webroot dir (nginx) for authentification -Access to my certificates folder (for letsencrypt to automatically renew them) -Implementation of recurring cert renewal
  15. no matter what i do, i get a black screen with this app.. reinstalling didnt solve this
  16. I am no longer active in this forum. See My containers are of course still active. Use GitHub if you have pull requests or need help.
  17. rix's Repository https://github.com/rix1337/docker-templates Some of my containers are based on linuxserver.io's alpine baseimages. Support their cause at https://www.linuxserver.io/donations/ Support my work at https://github.com/sponsors/rix1337/
  18. hey, the rdp-calibre works as i want it too. i could set the prefix/username/password within the interface. there is one last thing. when connecting my ereader (tolino shine) to the unraid server it naturally doesnt pass through the device/usb connection to docker. would love to see this fixed
  19. Thanks for the quick reply, Ill probably go with that one! Wasn't sure wheter I could connect my eReader to docker using USB
  20. Hi, i have just set up unraid and am trying to reestablish all services i have been running before the switch. I am trying to run your Calibre server docker with extended options... (https://github.com/rix1337/docker-calibre) and have forked your github project. Sadly I have no idea how a docker image is created and established on their registry page. All i am looking for is establishing these options: --url-prefix=/calibre --username=rix --password=whatever Could you add these as advanced options or help me doing it myself. There seems to be not a single tutorial out there how to do a docker image so I am stuck with asking for your help
  21. Hi, I just migrated to unRAID and am failing miserably to get my pyload fork running in docker. I tried to fork and edit your pyload image but have no idea how to do the docker registry part. Could you please tell me how to get my fork (https://github.com/rix1337/pyload) inside a docker file? I have added path prefix support and a decent webinterface, so this would be lovely
