[Plug-In] Community Applications
I understand where you and the other longtime members are coming from but It just seems like every time I ask a question on any forum lately nothing is taken seriously. I agree that this should be a friendly place where anyone can come and "joke around" but at the same time, it is a paid service. Anyway, I'm glad everything is up and running. Now I just need to figure out this stupid warning that I had fixed prior to my last update.

[Plug-In] Community Applications
Yes, that is exactly what I thought. Like usual someone has to make a smartass remark, hence why I rarely come on these forums anymore. I appreciate all the hard work that is put into these applications but being a little more professional goes a long way.

[Plug-In] Community Applications
It works now but I rebooted 3 times today and it didn't fix it. I guess it was a network issue or something, glad it's fixed.

[Plug-In] Community Applications
I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem. Is the Community Applications Down? Download of appfeed failed. Community Applications requires your server to have internet access. The most common cause of this failure is a failure to resolve DNS addresses. You can try and reset your modem and router to fix this issue, or set static DNS addresses (Settings - Network Settings) of8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and try again. Alternatively, there is also a chance that the server handling the application feed is temporarily down. Switching CA to operate in Legacy Mode might temporarily allow you to still utilize CA. It *appears* that a partial download of the application feed happened (or is malformed), therefore it is probable that the application feed is temporarily down. Switch to Legacy Mode, or try again later) Last JSON error Recorded: JSON Error: Control character error, possibly incorrectly encoded Support Thread Community Applications Version: 2018.05.23

I really like this setup but I have a question. Under volumes, it says I have 170 unused volumes? Is there a way to tell what these volumes contain?

The latest firmware for the switch is here https://www.ubnt.com/download/edgemax/edgeswitch-16-xg. If you google your switch and the card/cables you own it seems that the Ubiquity switch doesn't play well with active DAC cables and AUTO negotiate settings. Have you tried setting them up manually? (try to give it a static IP) Also, I always use passive cables since I would just use fiber if I had longer runs. https://community.ubnt.com/t5/EdgeSwitch/ES-16-XG-SFP-DAC-cable-hell/td-p/1683163/page/2

I don't have mine setup through a switch, mine are directly connected to each other but using a switch shouldn't be that difficult.

[SUPPORT] pihole for unRaid - Spants repo
I am trying to get pihole working in unraid but I keep getting this error when I try to start it gives an error. listen tcp 0.0.0.0:80: bind: address already in use. I have changed the Unraid port to 81 and it still doesn't work. I was told I can assign IP addresses to separate dockers in 6.4 so I upgraded but I still have no idea what to do. This is the only real hurdle I have run into since installing unraid. Never mind! I got it working I had two conflicting IP addresses.

I agree, some raid arrays can utilize or saturate a 1Gbps connection but if your setup can't then it's not worth it. My desktop and server both have SSD's so figure 550-600MB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Preclear plugin
superderpbro, I am having this exact same problem. I was running the pre-clear plugin and once my disc hit 86% complete I lost the Web GUI and now I can't even SSH or Telnet in. Another member here danioj suggested that I post in this thread instead of the General Support thread. The disk that I am pre-clearing is just an unassigned disk.

picked up my cards LOT of 2 for $36 + $20postage to the u.k i think that was a bargin, used 5m cable was about $28 in the uk. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182076137891?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT mine came with low profile , i might throwm them up on ebay ^^ its dremel time with an spare pci bracket.... my question is there's small white 3pin header at the top of the card, is that for a fan ? The 3 pin header is for I2C-compatible Interface A three-pin header on the adapter cards is provided as the I2C-compatible interface. See Figure 13, “Mechanical Drawing of the Dual-port MCX312A-XCBT Adapter Card,” on page 37 for the loca- tion on the board.

what system are you running? I have never had to do anything to get my mellanox cards to work in unRAID. I had to jump through hoops to get them to work in FeeNAS. So you flashed the firmware which means they are showing up in the bios etc. But they are not showing up as network cards in freenas??

Yes $75.00 is the price for everything. No unfortunately I do not have the low profile brackets. You can find them occasionally on eBay/ If I have a card I really want to use I modify the bracket or find a video card bracket and modify that.

Yeah you leave the gigabit as it is now. Then once the 10gig is installed you give it an IP address of like 192.168.5.1 and the other card 192.168.5.2 subnet stays the same 255.255.255.0 you leave everything else blank because that connection will not need the Internet. Then in Windows go to network connections and sharing again pull up the network adapters then hit alt and the top hidden menu bar will show. Then you give the 10gig network priority over the gigabit and your set. Also you want to enable jumbo packets on both cards. It's really not difficult I watched a video and did it in 5 mins. I tested it with an nvme m.2 ssd and 2 Samsung evos in raid 0 and maxed out the connection. If you don't have that many ssd's then make a temp RAM disk. All in all your speeds will be way faster depending on file types. I transferred 1.6TB in a little over an hour Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
