  1. I am not sure where this question should go. Ever since upgrading to 6.6.1 my HP ML10 V2 has had a strange issue where the CPU temperature in unRAID reads 80c under full load (this is normal for this machine) but in HP iLO it only reads 50c and thus the fans stay at 20%. I am just trying to figure out what the cause could be and if its something with unRAID or my server itself. Has anyone else run into something similar?
  2. Yeah, I checked the folders and the permissions were set to nobody/users (99/100) 0000. After checking Radarr and Sonarr their permission settings were set to on. After turning them off everything seems good now. Thanks for the help.
  3. I keep running into this issue where I have my shares mapped as network drives on both of my computers but when I go to move or edit files I get the " You require permission from Tower/nobody to make changes to this file". I have run the Docker Safe New Permissions and the New Permissions which help for a little while but the issue always returns. Also, I have the shares setup for those computers (users) to have read/write access. What do I need to do to fix this permanently?
  4. Hocky, I have a similar experience with some files and others I run into the issue that the OP has. Now I convert all movies automatically using handbrake which helps since my Roku can direct play HEVC 4k HDR etc.
  5. Jackal24, your best bet is to add another library as I said. 4k transcoding is hard on any system unless you have thousands invested. I had the same exact issue as you when it came to subtitles and I didn't want to burn-in the subs. Like JonP mentioned, you should ask in the Plex sub.
  6. Stopping all of the dockers and leaving the docker service on seems to have fixed it. I turned each one off one at a time but I can't seem to find which docker is causing the issue.
  7. its normal to have 67,578 writes in an hour?
  8. All my dockers are stopped and it's still happening, Should I stop the docker service?
  9. I thought so, I'm just trying to figure out what's causing the reads and writes to the cache drive. I know unRAID can exaggerate those figures but even the status light on my server is flashing for the cache drive. My guess is Plex.
  10. So I had the misfortune of a corrupted BTRFS cache drive and I reformed to XFS and created a new docker image. I added some dockers and configured everything but something isn't right, my cache drive is constantly being written to now and I suspect its plex. Can someone tell me how to know if my docker image is bad? or if its something else in my diagnostics? tower-diagnostics-20180917-1159.zip
  11. Greetings, The way I handle this is by having a separate 4K Movie Library. You could try optimized versions but I find that (like you mentioned) HDR content looks awful after converting to 1080p. I only have one 4K tv in my house and after numerous hours of banging my head on a wall trying to figure out how to transcode everything I just created a separate library. As far as I am aware unRAID doesn't handle GPU transcoding well. If you have an Intel CPU with QuickSync and a compatible motherboard you could use that which works great.
  12. How do I format the cache drive to xfs? Under cache settings, my options are Auto, BTRFS and BTRFS Encrypted. When I manually format to xfs then add the cache back the system wants me to reformat and it reformats back to BTRFS.
  13. Thanks! Yeah, I copied what I could but the filesystem on the cache drive is corrupted.
  14. Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks for your input though. Btrfs doesn't handle power outages well and apparently, my old UPS has a bad battery. I want to reformat the drive to xfs but I can't find any instructions other than how to replace a cache drive with a new drive.
  15. I tried to do that but it won't let me. I keep getting Btrfs errors on my cache drive, parent transid verify failed on 1275643199488 wanted 2588463 found 2587150. I copied what I could off of the drive, first I thought it was a bad cable but after switching cables and even pulling the drive and putting it in my Archlinux box it still throws the same errors.
  16. After finding Plex down I went to my dockers to find the service didn't start. The docker log states: Error starting daemon: lstat /var/lib/docker/volumes/95af7c5856d1f2b33fa4ad0d01f739bdd5222425290aada3c411dc27de63a59c: input/output error I have attached my diagnostics files tower-diagnostics-20180914-1941.zip
  17. Thanks for the replies guys. I have a global downloads folder for my dockers /mnt/cache/downloads and that's where everything that needs it points to. I was just curious about setting up another Sabnzbd docker to test something. I use HandBrake to convert movies and tv shows from Sonarr and Radarr and I am always left with two version of the files (original and converted). I wanted to see if I could automate a deletion folder or something. Squid I read that post last year and it's great, I just wish I had that information when I originally built my unRaid server lol. I guess it's better that I had to learn along the way.
  18. So I am just curious, I've had Sabnzbd running for a long time now but I would like to know if my config is wrong. For the Temporary Downloads folder should it be /downloads - /mnt/cache/appdata/sabnzbd/downloads or /downloads - - /mnt/cache/downloads ?
  19. So I updated the system ROM (HP Proliant ML10 v2) since it was the original ROM from a long time ago. Now everything is normal and the errors are gone. Note that after I updated the system ROM I had to manually update the time and date in the bios.
  20. Yes, I took my server apart the other day to clean it and when I booted back up it throws the error now. I checked the CMOS battery and it seems fine.
