  1. Anybody know what's going off here?? Tried searching the forums but can't find an answer... Diagnostics attached.nas-diagnostics-20181018-1009.zip
  2. I'm having the same issue too... It will install and they start up but when I update it and restart it messes up..
  3. Is anyone aware of a plugin or docker that will convert video file's audio? Handbrake doesn't have a video passthrough (apparently it's the number one requested feature, but the developers disagree!). I have a Sonos Playbar and I didn't realise when I purchased it, it only does 5.1 if the audio format is AC3. So I need something that will convert video files to the audio format AC3.
  4. Or would unraid see it as; /mnt/user/video/tv/nameofshow/season So I'd have to make it 5?
  5. Excellent - Set it to manual I assume? EDIT having thought about it that wouldn't work... My share is all video so TV shows are /video/tv/nameofshow/season Films are /video/films/ So if I set the split level to auto 3 it will work?
  6. @Squid does it matter if I just change the built-in schedule to Monthly rather than changing the share.cfg file?
  7. I have a Video share and I like to use unBALANCE to spread certain folders to certain disks. Basically, things I like to watch regularly on one disk, partner on another and friends on another. Everything else is shared out by mover in the usual manner. My thoughts around this are to try and share the workload / head movement on the disk if we are all watching separate things. It there any way I can make it so a certain folder always syncs to a certain disk? Including after new media is added to the folder?
  8. Ok, out of interest - did the sleep command work at all
  9. How did this work for you? I think the to turn TW off you need to set it to md_write_method 0
  10. Yes that works perfectly.. no worries
  11. Hi, I noticed that it has already been discussed combining Turbo Write and Threshold Mover Script. I can't get the damn thing to work, it just seems to freeze my system for a while. Could someone post the script.txt file to make sure I'm not being an idiot? Thanks
  12. A plug in called unBALANCE is perfect for this... it's not automatic but it's simple to use
  13. whats the plugin called?
  14. Turbo write toggles would be great or making the auto setting work, so when you spin all drives it turbo writes. Either would be great
  15. I don't think there is a way I can pause the parity check and then resume it later? Currently, it takes about 16 hours for a full check due to my 8tb drives. I run the check once a month but would like a way of pausing the check during the day and then resuming it at night. It doesn't have to be a scheduled method, a simple command line I could put in at the beginning of the day and another at the end would suit me perfectly.
  16. I'll do just that... I searched the forum before posting and didn't find anything,
  17. Notice it says they are SAS cards, would they run SATA drives?

  19. Ok thanks As per the rest of this discussion, a GUI switch would be great. Obvs with the auto function is enabled, a simple spin up all disks would start turbo write. But some people might not get that!
  20. If I set Tunable (md_write_method): to Auto, then spin up all drives before a big write will it use Turbo Write (reconstruct write) automatically? Then the rest of the time use read/modify/write (unless all the disks are spinning for some reason)?
  21. I have come up with a workaround and it's a fairly smooth experience but not perfect. Would be no good for gaming etc but it works. Set up Chrome Remote Desktop on the VM and then log in via that... Would also work from any device with Chrome etc
  22. Yeah, I tried it with the Android App... It was a poor experience
  23. I have this problem with my Chromebook, therefore installing Firefox isn't really an option for me... Any ideas?
  24. Hi, Hoping someone can give me a basics lesson... I'm used to using get_iplayer on windows via CMD. I've putty'd in to my NAS but can't find the get_iplayer anywhere... Am I missing something? Is this not possible?
