  1. I was afraid that was the issue. The funny thing is I have been using this SAS2LP for a couple of years with zero problems only to have crazy issues the past two week. But I will start looking at an LSI. Thank you for your help.
  2. I am getting constant but random disk errors on several disks sending them into error state. At times this has happened while rebuilding the previous disk, other times everything runs smoothly. Seems to be completely random and I don't know what else to do. Diagnostics attached. If anyone knows what to look for I could greatly appreciate it. At the time the diagnostics was downloaded Disk 11 was being rebuilt and 13 became disabled. I am at the point where I am thinking that a complete wipe and restarting from scratch would be best... Would that solve this? bobafett-diagnostics-20181108-0932.zip
  3. I ran into this when I downgraded from 6.3.0 back to 6.2.4. To resolve do the following: 1. Stop docker (even if it's stopped, you want the webgui to show it as disabled too). 2. Delete your docker.img. 3. Reboot machine. 4. Enable dockers 5. Re-install your dockers, look for the my-* templates to retain all settings. Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. I'm back up and running!
  4. Just updated to 6.3.1 and Docker is broken on my system: Settings -> Docker, Enable Docker is set to Yes but Status still shows as Stopped. Going to the Docker tab all I get is the header and tabs. Under that is completely white Dashboard under Apps shows "No apps available to show" Dashboard under System Status, Docker is shown as "Not available" I downloaded 6.3.1 again and copied over to my boot thumbdrive and removed all plugins but no change in result. Any ideas?
  5. I recently rebuilt my box in a new case, added some new drives, etc. Afterwards my performance has been horrible. GUI is unresponsive, hangs, I'm having trouble with Plex containers (I have tried several), I have to reboot it at least daily. This morning I have spent 4 hours trying to get Plex to work. Adding the container can take 10+ minutes, deleting a container can take 30+ minutes and these time aren't including the time the GUI hangs or is unresponsive and I have to forcefully reboot. Just taking the array off-line can be 10+ minutes. Often when rebooting the system loads normally, and the monitor attached to the box has the login prompt. Accessing the GUI through another computer on the network gets a 404 error. I have to reboot and try again. One odd thing I have noticed is that when I come back from a reboot the Main page always has the full 24 slots listed even though I change it to 9 slots every time. Is that an indication of something? Any ideas what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. For those willing to help I only have a very basic understanding of the command line (I can type in what you tell me and tell you what the result is). I really hope this is something small and stupid I have overlooked. Syslog and diagnostics zip attached. Specs: syslog.txt bobafett-diagnostics-20161102-1416.zip
  6. I just installed DelugeVPN yesterday and woke up this morning to many warnings that my Docker disk utilization was up to 91% (on 40GB allocated to the Docker image). I ran 'docker ps -s' and binhex/arch-delugevpn is using 31.6GB. My next largest container is only 617.7MB. Any ideas what I did wrong and how I can fix this?
  7. Thanks for your input. I'm reevaluating my processor (and thus motherboard) and power supply. I appreciate the help!
  8. My Drobo 5N is full (5x4TB WD Reds) and when I looked at what it would cost me to change the drives out to 6TB I realized I needed to research alternatives (that and the horror stories of data loss after simple problems like the network plug failing). That's when I discovered unRAID! My use is mainly for a Plex server with all the programs that go along with it (Sonarr, sabnzbd, Transmission, CouchPotato) and a simple file server as well as have some extra power if/when I decide to play around with unRAID's other possibilities without breaking the bank. CPU: AMD FX-6300 ($98) Mother board: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX ($32) RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 2 x 4GB DDR3-1600 ($40) PSU: Corsair Builder 430W ($20) Case: Fractal Design Define Mini Micro ATX Mini Tower Case ($100) PC Parts Picker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/p7KchM How does this look? Additional questions: Why does it seem like most people use Intel vs AMD. My reasoning is purely in pricing. Is there something Intel offers when it comes to unRAID I haven't seen? Obviously the memory isn't ECC. Do I need ECC?
