So i was able to disable docker, reboot, and re-enable and my docker containers started and i was able to update again... Odd, but i'm sure glad i don't have to drive up there!! Thanks for the tips. The dockers are stored in their own share across the array (60tb of disks) and seems to be working fine now. go figure.

Ive had this problem several times over the course of my unraid experience (i own several unraid licences and servers) Is there ANY way to fix this problem without pulling the flash drive and putting it in a windows computer? It seems i end up having to do this once a year or so with various servers. My server is in a secure datacenter and access is a 1.5 hour drive and its a pain in the ass! I'm running unraid 6.8 and have SSH access. I can access the box just fine, i've tried other past ways to fix this problem but the flash drive says busy when attempting to unmount it. Please i'm desperate for a fix! Thanks

This has fixed the issue. Thank you so much, i tried for quite a while to find this solution, but was unable. Thanks!!

HI guys. Running a W10 VM W/ Passthrough Graphics. Works fine. Unraid lost my KML's a while back, so i ended up upgrading to the latest version (was on 6.4 RC 10 i think) Now my main machines VM disk size is just spiraling out of control! I'm using about 170GB on the VM, but the on disk size has grown to 625GB. IT's growing about 25-30GB every day with light use. The on disk size is staying the same, but its just getting bigger.... Its on an SSD, i've installed the Dynamix TRIM plugin, tried manual trimming, deleting a ton of files, etc. I can't seem to find any good info on why this happens. It was on my cache drive, but i had to copy it because it consumed the whole drive, now its sitting on a 1TB NVMe SSD. <domain type='kvm' id='4'> <name>Win 10 Gaming</name> Pulling my hair out rebuilding array (Issues)
lazerusrm replied to lazerusrm's topic in General Support
Trurl: Thanks so much. I managed to get it figured out, the array is back online, and all drives have recovered, no lost data. Whew! Seems to be all working normally again. I made sure to enable push notifications so i can be alerted quicker in the future!! Also hooked it up to the UPS so it can shut down before a power loss in the future. -
Pulling my hair out rebuilding array (Issues)
lazerusrm replied to lazerusrm's topic in General Support
Ok, So after thinking about it for a bit longer... I did the following: Unmounted Boot drive: umount /dev/sda1 Checked the drive: fsck /dev/sda1 Dirty Bit Set... Unset the Dirty bit... Deleted the folder that was giving grief: rm /boot/CONFIG/PLUGINS/Sabnzbd Checked the drive: fsck /dev/sda1 No errors this time... Remounted Drive: mount /dev/sda1 /boot Rebooted from the dashboard. After a reboot, i'm now rebuilding the array, and it looks to be working this time... Fingers Crossed. -
Looong story short. Power Outage, 2 drives "red balled" all data is there. Can read and write to both drives. Rebuilt array to have it fail after it was all done (couldn't write config to flash drive) I'm not sure how to run smart tests on the drives in the raid array, which would be helpful. I've tried guides using smartctl but, alas, i'm too stupid to figure it out. (not real familiar with linux) System Specs: Lenovo TS440 3Ware Raid card for all but parity and cache drives. 2 Parity drives, 10 Data drives. Parity drives on SATA Interface of TS440. Data drives run on raid card. Data drives are in a seperate san enclosure. Trying to fix the flash drive. Unmounted /boot. ran fsck -v /dev/sda1 Getting the following error: root@Tower:~# fsck.fat 3.0.28 (2015-05-16) -bash: syntax error near unexpected token `(' root@Tower:~# /CONFIG/PLUGINS/Sabnzbd -bash: /CONFIG/PLUGINS/Sabnzbd: No such file or directory root@Tower:~# ".." is missing. Can't fix this yet. > /dev/sda1: 150 files, 8928/59183 clusters Every time i reboot, the dirty bit is set, the filesystem is read only, and even if i rebuild the parity, it won't keep and shows it missing the drives! WTF do i do?? The system is located about 1 hour away in my server rack. I have access remotely, and can remote into the system via intel AMT all day long. What gives? I can't get my array to work right, and i can't get my flash drive to stop being retarded! Notes: I'm not a linux expert, but i try to fix things on my own, and have been messing with this over the course of almost a week now, as the rebuild process takes TWO days. Thanks

Thank you. i will read through it.

Is there a thread illustrating the problems with this? i had to reboot due to having problems with plex, and it will no longer come online. I change my ui_info over, and can log into the crashplan docker, and it shows online and working, but when i reset back to my desktop, it still shows offline. anyone have an idea whats going on?
-
I'm using the latest needo docker, from the template repository, and it shows up to date in the docker dashboard. do i have to be on the same subnet for first time access? I'm headed up to the datacenter where this server is located, i'm going to directly plug into it and see if it will work that way. ugh what a nightmare thank you very much for your help so far. i really do appreciate the time you guys have taken to help me out!

No! The server is not working! i can't see my server in the left pane (as shown in my pic) therefore, i cannot go into server settings, because i cant select the server in the left menu. i can see the server tab in the settings, however, i cannot edit server settings for the cloud, or for my shared libraries.
-
Thats the problem, the server doesn't exist! I cannot go to settings -> Servers, because the server is not showing up in the left pane, i cannot select it. It''s not there, its not running, there is no server service, despite being running in the UNRAID gui, and i have a green play icon on the plex icon. all plex is doing is connecting me to the cloud, and showing me my shared servers, thats the problem. i don't understand how plex media server is running, but its not running any server functionality! Totally strange. i'm logging directly into my server as follows http://<UNRAID-IP>:32400/web/index.html# I Enter my plex username and password. then my shared libraries, and cloud sync show up. No other servers (including the local one that should be there!)
