  1. So i have huge Issues with my Setup and Linux. Everything is virtualized except i say otherwise. I could install Kubuntu via VNC but then when i switched to my Graphicscard i didnt see anything. Then Back to Debian Jessie (What i wanted to use anyway): Freshly installed and then i want to add firmware-linux-nonfree to get the drivers working for my HD7850. Nope. When i want to start the System i am getting dropped to Terminal and i saw that XOrg freezed up. No Errors, no Warnings. When i tried to install the proprietary Drivers (from Repository or AMD Site) i wouldn't even get to the Terminal. I had to enable VNC again to rescue it. Back to the issue with firmware-linux-nonfree: I upgraded to Kernel 4.2 to see if it solved the Issue: No luck. Got myself a Debian Live iso with that package. Both, normal boot and boot in failsafe mode, freezed up (Not on the same Spot tho) Then i tried to Boot it of without Virtualization: Normal mode freezes somewhere but with Failsafe mode i am finally getting through. So there must be something different to the virtualized one (And this is the main reason why i am posting it here) What can i try to finally switch to Linux from Windows Thanks in Advance
  2. Linus mentioned that NVMe Support is now in 6.2 Can somebody confirm this?
  3. I had the same problem with the Xonar DGX here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45450.0 My solution was to buy the DG Version (Okay... not a Solution)
  4. I just passed my PCI Soundcard See the Topicname of http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36768
  5. UPDATE: I bought the Xonar DG (DGX is the same but on PCIe). Plugged it in and it recognized as: 04:00.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev 41) 05:00.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CMI8788 [Oxygen HD Audio] /sys/kernel/iommu_groups/13/devices/0000:04:00.0 /sys/kernel/iommu_groups/13/devices/0000:05:00.0 But it worked straight away when i passed only 5:00.0 through. Now i am happy
  6. I think unRaid doesn't support NVMe yet. So if it is a SATA M.2 SSD it should work
  7. How do you detect which Core is the "Hyper-Thread" of which Core?

  12. I dunno tbh. let me test without it
  13. Because i want audio ? I think i misunderstood the question
  14. I hope so. The other PCIe slot i have doesnt work at all. not even posting

  17. When you get back home, enable ACS override, pass through the AMD HDMI device also and check if your VM is stable. Then you can go ahead and pass through the Xonar. You could try the Xonar also right away just to see if the ACS override works, but better take one thing a time. I will do that right now (Currently backing up my win vm disk) My current config(Before i am doing the stuff you just told me): <domain type='kvm' xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'> <name>BURAK-PC</name> <uuid>bafe028b-7968-e029-1e65-2b1cb5406e10</uuid> <metadata> <vmtemplate name="Custom" icon="windows.png" os="windows"/> </metadata> <memory unit='KiB'>12582912</memory> <currentMemory unit='KiB'>12582912</currentMemory> <memoryBacking> <nosharepages/> <locked/> </memoryBacking> <vcpu placement='static'>6</vcpu> <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='2'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='3'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='4'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='5'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='6'/> <vcpupin vcpu='5' cpuset='7'/> </cputune> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-i440fx-2.3'>hvm</type> </os> <features> <acpi/> <apic/> <hyperv> <relaxed state='on'/> <vapic state='on'/> <spinlocks state='on' retries='8191'/> </hyperv> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough'> <topology sockets='1' cores='6' threads='1'/> </cpu> <clock offset='localtime'> <timer name='hypervclock' present='yes'/> <timer name='hpet' present='no'/> </clock> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64</emulator> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/user/vidsks/BURAK-PC/vdisk1.img'/> <target dev='hdc' bus='virtio'/> <boot order='1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x04' function='0x0'/> </disk> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/user/ArrayVdisks/BURAK-PC/vdisk2.img'/> <target dev='hdd' bus='virtio'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x05' function='0x0'/> </disk> <controller type='usb' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x2'/> </controller> <controller type='pci' index='0' model='pci-root'/> <controller type='ide' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x1'/> </controller> <controller type='virtio-serial' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x03' function='0x0'/> </controller> <interface type='bridge'> <mac address='52:54:00:8b:f2:ae'/> <source bridge='br0'/> <model type='virtio'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x02' function='0x0'/> </interface> <serial type='pty'> <target port='0'/> </serial> <console type='pty'> <target type='serial' port='0'/> </console> <channel type='unix'> <source mode='bind' path='/var/lib/libvirt/qemu/channel/target/BURAK-PC.org.qemu.guest_agent.0'/> <target type='virtio' name='org.qemu.guest_agent.0'/> <address type='virtio-serial' controller='0' bus='0' port='1'/> </channel> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='yes'> <source> <vendor id='0x0f39'/> <product id='0x1086'/> </source> </hostdev> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x14' function='0x0'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x1d' function='0x0'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> <memballoon model='virtio'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x06' function='0x0'/> </memballoon> </devices> <qemu:commandline> <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='ioh3420,bus=pci.0,addr=1c.0,multifunction=on,port=2,chassis=1,id=root.1'/> <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on'/> <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='vfio-pci,host=00:1b.0,bus=root.1,addr=01.0'/> </qemu:commandline> </domain>
