It is disabled on all I5 and I7 prior to 4790K (4770k, 3770K, 2600K).
Note that it generally enabled on non-K chips.
If you want best of both world, go on "X" socket (X79, X99). Chips like the 3930k, 4390k, 5820K, 5930K are VT-D enabled, but cost more.

I have 3 VM with dedicated screen, keyboard and mouse.
I only have a single unanswered question : How can I manually pass a "nameless" usb device.
The device is present in the usb device section in Tools --> system devices but doesnt have any name, only an ID. I am sure this is it as it dissapear as I unplug it and show up when I plug it.
So, knowing the keyboard is detected, is there any way to manually add it in the vm's XML? Any examples?
Oh, it's a CM Quickfire TK MX Brown if that's any useful.
