  1. I'll try that next but I don't think it will change anything. This morning I can the script I mentioned within screen from putty and it crashed. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  2. Short SMART yields no errors. I did a long a couple days ago with same results.
  3. One new WD red i'm trying to preclear and my system crashes and becomes unresponsive every time I try to preclear. Unraid 6.1.9 ASRock X79 Extreme4-M board Xeon E5-2670 4-2TB WD 4RE-GP array drives 1-3TB Toshiba DT01ACA300 array drive 1-3TB WD Red WD30EFRX array drive 1-3TB WD Red WD30EFRX unassigned drive (one I'm trying to preclear) 1-240GB PNY SSD cache 1-IO Crest SI-PEX40064 SATA controller (the drive in question and an empty hot-swap bay are connected to this) I have a lot of docker containers and plugins running. Let me know if you need a list here. I have tried this with the preclear plugin in the webgui and with the "fast" preclear_bjp.sh that is posted here, and both yield the same results. I used troubleshooting mode on the "fix common problems" plugin to get these logs, but not sure if they have what we need, since the system locks up when this problem occurs. I used to have a different drive connected to the SATA controller and never had a problem like this. Is the drive bad? What do I need to do to figure this out? Anyone want to have a look? Let me know what you think! UPDATE: So I pulled the IOCREST/SYBA card and bought a used Adaptec 1430SA on ebay, flashed latest BIOS to allow drives >2TB. I filled out the RMA form for the Syba card. Waiting to hear back from them. Right now I'm 35 minutes into pre-clearing 3 drives simultaneously. I will post a reply if I have more problems or if anyone asks a question. Same issue, so it's likely not the card(s). Still trying to resolve this. See latest posts. elsa-unraid-diagnostics-20160709-1016.zip syslog.txt
  4. Just had my server stop responding to anything; even just a ping from network machine. I changed to a local monitor plugged into the box, and the "Waitng for lo to become free" error was shown but server would not respond to the keyboard (ctrl+c). I had to hit the reset button and start a parity check. Any ideas? I had just started a 5-run preclear on a new HDD via the preclear plugin and had 5 PMS streams going with 3 transcodes. Running a Xeon E5-2670 now. Running PMS, plexpy, NZBget, couchpotato, sickbeard, cadviser, mumbleserver, nginx, plexrequests, and transmission docker containers. Did I just have too much going on? Kinda rough if it was the preclear that made it self-destruct, since it takes a few days to run all those cycles. Please tell me what files to post (and what I should remove for privacy), but I don't have any logs from today since it was a hard reboot. Running 6.1.9. Thanks!

  6. Auto shutdown went smoothly! It didn't shutdown the ups like it's set to, though. Ups has a scheduled shutdown showing in about 50 mins. Wonder if the shutdown trigger from my server just started some default shutdown timer? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  7. Having my first power outage right now. Been out for at least 20 mins. Ups says 60 mins left. I have it set to shutdown with 20 percent or 15 minutes remaining on battery. Anything else I should do? I kinda want to let it go and make sure it works automatically. Any chance my docker containers running will hang and prevent docker stoppage? Other news: My router is on the ups and we have fiber to the house so my external servers are all still available! I figured whatever hardware converts from fiber to cat5 would die with the power outage... Weird huh? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  8. Still can't update to v2016.04.02 without the 404 error. Thank you for the help! Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks! I haven't reinstalled but gui is back. Can you explain why that worked? What was that .plg doing? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  10. Hey there. I updated the dynamix webgui plugin from the plugin page but closed the little pop-up before it was finished or did something weird. Now getting 404 not found at the server ip. How can I simply manually reinstall the webgui? Server reboot through CLI did not remedy. All my docker containers are still starting, running, and responsive. Thanks!
  11. github page says to put the script in /usr/bin and modify a couple of scripts in there. That location is within the container. You can get into the container by typing the following in unraid terminal: docker exec -it Zoneminder-1_29 bash (I'm assuming you are using the 1.29 version) You can retrieve the script from github using wget and copy into /usr/bin You can edit the other scripts with nano (just install nano with apt-get install and then do "export TERM=xterm") Keep in mind thatif you edit or reinstall the container, those changes you made will be lost Good luck Do you think it would be wiser to run zoneminder in a VM since I want to mess around with it so much? I just got my VT-x working on my p8z77-v LK... updating the BIOS fixed the bug where it wasn't working.

  13. Just chiming in here. I think you need an additional package/program installed (something called linux video?) to use USB cameras with ZM. I got it working for the most part with IP cameras, so far.
  14. I got Zoneminder up and running with one monitor. I would like to get push notifications to our phones for certain alarms. I found this add-on https://github.com/pliablepixels/zmeventserver but I'm not sure how to add it to zoneminder the way it runs in docker and all... Can you help or suggest a better way to get push notifications? Thanks!
  15. Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to be able to know what I was unplugging/plugging-in from either end of the cable. I'm in electrical design at work, so I guess it's second nature for me.
  16. Got the mumble server up-and-running!
  17. Oh, and I DIG the R5... My desktop 2500k I built in 2012 is in a cheap-o case, and now I know the difference. I got the R5 for $50 at Bargain Hunt because it's a little banged up, but it works for me!
  18. Yeah, I thought of that, but it's possible that the power to the mobo will never be lost, since the UPS stays on. I could have it shut the UPS off after shutdown, but will the UPS come back on automatically after power is restored?
  19. Hey everyone. I just finished my build last weekend. Photos are below. Specs as follows: Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Mobo: Asus P8Z77 LK CPU: Intel i5 3570k Memory: 16GB (2x8GB) G.Skills PC1600 Parity: 3TB WD Red Cache: PNY CS2111 240GB Array: 6x2TB WD RE4-GP 2TB (12TB) Additional SATA controller: IOCrest SI-PEX40064 (88SE9215 chipset) Additional case fans: 3x Cooler Master R4 Series Silent 140mm (2 front intake, one bottom intake) UPS: Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD So far running Plex, plexpy, Sickbeard, Couchpotato, NZBget in docker. Currently I'm only using 2 of the 2TB drives, the 3TB parity and 240GB cache. I'm running preclears as we speak on the other drives. I got the drives used on here, but one is crashing pre-clear. 4 drives, including that one, were giving some SMART errors, but one cleared up after pre-clear and running extended SMART, so I'm going to do the same on these, other than the one that's crashing. Today I installed the 3 additional fans, internal USB header, and migrated to the UPS and successfully tested auto-shutdown. Things I still need to do: Figure out if possible and how-to automatically start the array on boot Migrate my murmur server over to this setup Setup reverse proxy Devise method for booting (wake on LAN?) and starting array upon power coming back online. Preferably automatically, even if I have no cell/internet service on my person. Find out how to change "run-as" users on my existing docker containers without losing anything! Is there really a danger in them running as root? If anyone wants to chime in on any of those "to-dos", feel free! Here are the pics (figured an album is better):
  20. IN THAT CASE ALL SOLD, WILL BE SENDING A INVOICE TOMORROW AWESOME. Thanks!

  23. Greetings. 1st post here. Is anyone aware of any issues I might have using this machine with unraid? I know I will need a SATA card for more drives and likely a better PSU. Are there known problems with any of the chipsets involved? I can't really find much of anything about using unraid on a 9020, and maybe there's a reason. I just have a lead on a good deal on one and would like to take advantage of it if possible. Thanks!
