  1. I have a working build with passthrough of four K6000's. Its awesome. I had to go get the latest OVMF.fd from TianoCore because the baked in one with unRAID never seemed to work properly (OS would never boot, even when setting a boot device properly in the EFI menu). I just replaced the /usr/share/qemu/ovmf-x64/OVMF-pure-efi.fd with the downloaded OVMF.fd (http://www.tianocore.org/ovmf/) and that way I dont have to re-edit the XML if I make changes to the VM via Dynamix. Heres the problem: When I reboot the host machine, the new /usr/share/qemu/ovmf-x64/OVMF-pure-efi.fd gets overwritten with the original unRAID version. This is a PITA, because then I have to go ssh in and recopy the newer version over top the unRAID shipped OVMF-pure-efi.fd. Is there a way to override the unRAID OS from replacing the OVMF-pure-efi.fd on boot? Thanks
  2. NVM, just downloaded the latest OVFM from the web and booted off that one instead. now works.
  3. VM creation, works great. Passthrough working. I install Win10. When I power off the machine, and power it on again, it just boot loops over the OVMF EFI BIOS. I can get in the BIOS menu and see the Windows bootloader, but if i select it, it just boot cycles. Any ideas?

I followed the directions in here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_6/VM_Management#Assigning_Graphics_Devices_to_Virtual_Machines_.28GPU_Pass_Through.29 x) tried OVMF machine x) BIOS update x) tried Q35 x) custom ROM for video card None of these provided the solution. The two PCIx slots that aren't working for passthrough are set in affinity to CPU2. I pulled the two working passthrough cards that were in PCIx slots associated with CPU1, and it did not change the behavior of the CPU2 PCIx passthrough slots- still just a black screen. BTW this is a Supermicro X9DRG-QF motherboard.

  8. After applying the hotfix (which just seems to add more room in the "cgroup_device_acl" directive) I was able to assign the devices to the VMs without erroring out. A problem still persists in that on the two devices { 83:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Quadro K6000] (rev a1) 84:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Quadro K6000] (rev a1) } They do not output any display when those VMs boot. I have two other VMs working great with passthrough on these two cards { 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Quadro K6000] (rev a1) 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Quadro K6000] (rev a1) } I don't have the ACS patch enabled as I am running a Xeon system. The patch doesn't change this behavior when I enable it. I have attached the diags as requested.   10. I know this has been covered in older posts, but I wanted to start a new post as the other ones are quite old, and I am not seeming to have any success. I am getting the Code 43 on my Quadro cards. Resolutions this far that aren't working for me: FAQ 10, disable HyperV extensions, http://vfio.blogspot.com/2014/08/vfiovga-faq.html Put KVM in the 'hidden state', http://vfio.blogspot.com/2015/05/vfio-gpu-how-to-series-part-4-our-first.html Attempted changes between SeaBIOS and OVMF. Used older versions (~337.88) of the NVidia Drivers. Built windows10 and windows7 machines with all the variables above. One of the requirements for the build I am doing is that I have up to date drivers. It *seems* like NVidia is really hating on this. Anyone have any success building passthrough VMs with NVidia cards on current drivers? If so, what have been your successful steps? Thanks!
