  1. I would like them to roll over to each disk evenly. I'm probably just not understanding it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk you need to change your split level in your share options then.
  2. your folders beneath the share folder started on disk 1. unraid is trying to keep all the items on disk 1 because of your split level decision (share + 1 sub folder). if you want it to split more, you need to change your folder splitting options
  3. VPN is not needed for usenet. you should have SSL enabled to your provider, but you dont really need SSL enabled to login to NZBGet/Sonarr unless you have them exposed to outside of your network.
  4. by setting up and configuring docker. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37732.0
  5. because those devices natively understand the file formats/encoding OK...so is the issue, the STB? FireTV doesn't make a good client, to run PLEX; because it requires this demanding transcoding? Someone suggested, running PLEX on WD TV Live instead; see if I have the same issues? I don't understand; FireTV runs Netflix beautifully. netflix is basically doing the transcoding for you on their hardware, with plex, your hardware is doing the transcoding. upgrade your machine or downgrade the transcode.

  7. The dockers image is on a share, but so far most of the files have been written to disk 1. Ive even turned off all the docker images and it still spins up. Does the image itself keep the drive awake? You'd need to disable Docker completely, not just each individual Docker Container. That or move the docker image off your array drive and onto an Cache/OS Applications drive. So I completely disabled docker (turned off the image) and installed open file to check what was spinning to drive up.. There is nothing open and i spin the drives down, they spin right back up. What else can I do to find what is keeping the drives awake?
  8. I do use plex but even disabled/off the drives are still spun up

  10. Something is writing to disk 1. Do you have a docker.img file (or vm images) installed on disk 1? Would that even matter if it's in safe mode?
  11. I'm using unRAID 6.1.9 and my parity drive and disk 1 are constantly running and never spin down. I've even booted unraid into safe mode, and issue a spin down, but they both will spin right back up. I'm unsure on how to trouble shoot the cause of the constant spinning of the drives and would like to get to the bottom of this. Can someone assist me with figuring out what is causing this issue? Thanks!
