  1. thanks for the suggestion - no matter how hard i try, I cant get it to update...
  2. hi - I tried that, and managed to get it to boot in safe mode... however, IOMMU was still disabled. When booting in normal mode, it throws up an error, detailed in the photo linked below. I know for certain that AMD-v is supported on the CPUs, so maybe the motherboard is the issue? cheers https://goo.gl/photos/V4UVaSZ55kMgr5B77
  3. hi again. Thanks for all the replies. As requested, here are my specs. Attached is the diagnostics ZIP. Tyan s4985g3nr n4250qe AMD Opteron 9218 (x4) 32Gb Hynix 2Rx4 PC2-5300P-555-12 XFX R9 290 DD thanks again. unmatt-diagnostics-20160218-0003.zip
  4. hello - unRAID has been running perfectly - until i tried setting up VMs, where it told me IOMMU was disabled. I went through the BIOS however, and IOMMU is definatley enabled, with 1024MB allocated to it. Thoughts? Thanks, Matt
  5. Thanks so much for checking into that. seems strange - i must have been pinging the wrong thing. What do you suggest I should do now? everything works on the network... are there some unraid settings i need to tweak? You need to fix the network connection. If there are multiple ethernet ports on your server try another one. Check cables and plugs, both ends. Try another port on the switch or router, etc. wow thank you so much! my mobo is weird and has 3 lan ports, and it seems two out of the three only work together, with teaming, so i tried the other one, and lo, it works! I've been working on this project for so long now, im getting tired . thanks again!

  7. hi there - thanks for the reply. I have tried the IP adress, and that did not work either. I have direct command line access, so attached is the log file. tower-diagnostics-20160216-1317.zip
  8. hi all - I installed unraid on my server, and found it to be working fine. I then un-installed it, and re-installed it on my desktop, with the intention of trying linus's 2 gamers 1 cpu idea. After a successful boot up and everything, i tried accessing the webgui, and that is where m problem is. chrome just says "This web page is not available. ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED". I tried other browsers and manually setting the unraid IP, all with no joy. Also, I can ping it fine. Any help appreciated. Thanks, matt.
