Hello everyone, this are my drives now: I just installed a second 6 TB parity drive. All fine. At the next step i want to remove the 2 x 4 TB drives and put in another 6 TB drive. How can it be done? You can easily see that my used data is not so much at the moiment. I really don't want to leave this 2 drives into the system. I need them for another build. Any suggestions?

Got the same problem here! Don't know exacly on wich day this happend to me. After some minutes after boot, i can't go to webgui either smb-shares or anything - no ping, no ssh. Server runs fine with gui. Pings are going through. My sophos says evrything fine. After disabling avast antivirus i can find the server again. Maybee an avast problem? sylog files look clean.

at my container the images are not correct matching with the tv-show or movie i selected. how can i force plex to manually create the all the meta (incl. the correct images) freshly?

running rc3 i can say i got the same problem again. The only thing that at my network is, that the unraid server is NOT in the same subnet as my clients. the servers are in 192.168.1.x and the clients in 192.168.178.x. i can only access the share like a guest. nothing prompted for username/password as i access the server with explorer. if i click on a share that has only user access.

That was my problem! Thank you all! (I have put in the 5 TB disks but don't choose them for rebuilding, only i lay them into server ) After the rebuild is done i will take one of them for parity and follow up like gridrunner says. Problem solved. P.s. is it safe to use a wd green for parity? or better data?

Hello there, first i'll try it in english please ask if something could not be understood. Okay here is what I have done: I had an array with looking like this: 4 TB Parity 4 TB Datadisk 3 TB Datadisk 3 TB Datadisk 160 GB Datadisk 160 GB Datadisk Of course the two 160 GB Disks are very small and as the array was only filled up to half of the last 3 TB Disk i decided to change the 160 GB Disks with greater ones. I removed the two disks after taking the machine to power down. I installed two 5TB Disks. After reboot there was the message array error and that 2 disks are missing. As i read into the wiki i go to tools and set "Tools -> New Config". After that i assigned the disks like before in the correct places. And start the array. Now the two 3 TB Disks are marked as unmountable and after the parity rebuild (10 h later) a whole bunch of data is missing. What was wrong and what to do to repair everything? The last thing i want (but i could) is to copy over network all my backuped data from another very slow cifs-machine....

i've had a question about your Setup and your Apps/Docker-Containers: I want to build a similar System. I was wondering if i can put as many disks to sundown/sleep as i can if i'm at work. at afternoon or eveneing i run much of plex and jdownloader etc. but at day i want to syve energy. is it possible to save power on disk-spindown in your Setup?

I must agree. I think there must be feature to register two GUIDs. At a user-interface u had to choose the active one. Through this a administrator could easily switch to the backup stick if needed. At midnight, on sunday or at any time....
