  1. Just solved the issue. It seems like enabling the UEFI unraid boot option causes the problem. Reverting back to the legacy boot option no longer floods my log files with the BAR 2 - PTE error. No idea why.
  2. The upgrade process from 6.3.5 to 6.4 went smoothly but I'm having a weird logging issue when starting one of my VM's with an Intel HD Graphics passthrough. It loads on the monitor ok but I'm getting a flood of these errors in the unraid log: Jan 14 01:18:50 Tower kernel: vfio-pci 0000:00:02.0: BAR 2: can't reserve [mem 0xd0000000-0xdfffffff 64bit pref] It seems to be filling up my /var/logs folder 100% completely. I've attached my diagnostics zip. What could be causing this issue now? tower-diagnostics-20180114-0125.zip
  3. Not sure if there is a list of recommended virus scanner software for use inside Windows VMs. Last time I ran one (Avast in 2016) it would completely take down my Unraid server. Is that still the case with the current versions or is there a better virus scanner to use. Thanks in advance.
  4. It's not disabled. I stopped the array, tried to do a Power Off, and the waiting for the operation to complete message stayed on the screen. I had to login to the unraid webui and power it off from there.
  5. Hey jbrodriguez, I'm using the latest version of the ControlR app (2.10.2) with the current latest stable unraid (6.3.5) and I was not able to power down unraid using the "Power Off" feature.
  6. Thanks for implementing this. I seem to be having some trouble with it though. I set the umask to 777 with the puid of 99 and the pgid of 100 (the defaults) but when adding torrent files to deluge it fails. Any suggestions on what I should change? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Is there a chance for data corruption even after running xfs_repair? Will a parity check fix data corruption if it happens like in a scenario like this? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Does this docker version of deluge allow us to specify the file permissions chmod of the downloaded torrents? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Yes sir, fixed my issue. Great work! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Hey jbrodriguez, I'm on unraid version is 6.3.2 Just checked it again today to make sure and it still has the problem. After enabling the slider "Yes I want to do this" then array stop button is still disabled.
  11. After checking the "Yes I want to do this" I can't seem to stop the array on 2.4.1 IOS
  12. A bit of a random question but can a pass-through'd DVD burner inside a Windows VM burn DVDs?
  13. Is there any compatibility problems with this plugin and unraid 6.3?
  14. Has excluding disks been implemented in the latest release? I have a backup drive mounted via unassigned devices that I need excluded from this Recycle Bin plugin
  15. Hey squid, I tried putting the card in a different PCIE slot and it gets moved into the IMMOU group 5 but the Ethernet card along with the others from the previous group 6 get moved along also. I'm guessing this isn't what normally happens right? I gave it a shot 1812 but replacing the comma with an = had no affect.
  16. I'm having trouble assigning my Creative Sound Blaster card to a Windows 10 VM. I am getting this error on the VM start up: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2016-12-31T22:21:07.766813Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=03:00.0,id=hostdev2,bus=pci.0,addr=0x8: vfio: error, group 6 is not viable, please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver. 2016-12-31T22:21:07.766838Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=03:00.0,id=hostdev2,bus=pci.0,addr=0x8: vfio: failed to get group 6 2016-12-31T22:21:07.766847Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=03:00.0,id=hostdev2,bus=pci.0,addr=0x8: Device initialization failed I was hoping after enabling the PCIe ACS Override option that the soud card would be in its own IOMMU group but that doesn't seem to be the case. It is in the IOMMU group 6 along with the ethernet controller and two PCI bridges #5 & #8. I did try to force the Creative card into its own group by tweaking the syslinux.cfg append line to: append pcie_acs_override=downstream,id:1102:0012 initrd=/bzroot But the outcome is still the same below. 17. Hey Gary, thanks for the response. I ended up getting a dummy hdmi plug https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLZXGJ6 to trick my motherboard into thinking there is an actual display connected. But yes I have the PCIE video card for a VM. That all works and now this plug makes sure my monitors don't come on after an unraid reboot.
  18. Don't think this is a new request on the forums but I wasn't able to find a solution using search. My issue is with disabling the unraid command line from showing on a PCIE video card on boot. On my motherboard bios I set the iGPU to be the primary display but when booting unraid it takes over the PCIE video card instead. I don't have any displays connected to the iGPU so I think this is what causing the issue. I want the PCIE video card to remain off since I have a few monitors connected to it that will be pass through in a workstation VM occasionally. Any suggestions on what I should do to achieve this? Thanks!
  19. Thanks for the replies guys. Figured it would be limited by the slowest.
  20. Anyone have any experience with running a cache pool with both an nvme drive and a sata iii drive? I want to add a bit of redundancy to my VMs & appdata and I am curious about having a 3.5gbps capable nvme drive paired with a 600mbps drive. Will the sata drive be the bottleneck and take the cache pool speed down to the slowest drive in the pool's level?
  21. Would you happen to be running a virus scanner such as Avast in the VM? I had this same problem and turns out Avast installed some drivers that would conflict with the way the VM image file wrote to itself.
  22. Thanks Gridrunner. That change worked perfectly! Got another question for you. Do you have a guide to getting iMessage to work?
  23. Hello gridrunner, I'm having trouble setting the resolution of my El Capitan VM. I set the OVMF resolution to 1024x768 from your previous reply http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=51915.msg501612#msg501612 and I also changed my Clover config.plist file to 1024x768. After completely shutting down the VM and starting it back up I get a screen like this via unraid's built in QEMU VNC after the white apple logo on the black screen: And logging into splashtop just gives me a black screen. I did notice one thing before changing the resolutions in the clover config.plist file. My Display is showing up as 1 MB. 24. I know OS X isn't officially supported by unRAID and was never meant to be virtualized but is there a 3rd party application or setting I can enable in this guest VM which will allow unRAID to send it a shutdown or restart command? During power outages I want unRAID to issue shutdown commands to all my guest VMs for graceful shutdowns. Anything possible for this?
