  1. kworker thread spiking CPU

    also seeing this problem now, just after New Years... CPU spikes every 12-20 seconds lasting about 10-15 seconds. All process IDs that show high usage are "kworker" tasks -- ID's 6, 7, 9, 10, and 14. this is affecting the usability of my virtual machine as it is regularly stalling in sync with the CPU spikes... I also have a lot of this warning in my syslog: "kernel: EDID block 0 (tag 0x00) checksum is invalid, remainder is 221" that also align with the CPU spikes, it seems..
