Hello, Just wondering, having LMS running on Unraid, and Unraid being on the same network as several Chromecast devices, does LMS for Unraid support the 3rd party plugin LMS-to-Cast ? I installed the plugin but I don't know what else to do to make it work.... (if it is supposed to work...)

Lately the recycle bin stopped refreshing instantly after emptying. It still shows the deleted data amount for a while. Before that I got used to get a feedback of 0 data in the bin immediately. Not critical but I thought you should know.

Hello, I access Unraid via network mappings on Windows and every time something is downloaded by Transmission I need to use Winscp in order to move the files around, otherwise I have no access rights on the files. This does not happen with other dockers such as Sabnzbd for exemple. What did I mess with Transmission's settings?

It took me some time to assemble everything but eventually I did it. Thanks to your advice I have now 15 HDDs + NVMe loaded into a Fractal Design Define 7 XL and I have plenty of room to grow. You were of great help.

Hello, I am at a crossroad now. I upgraded my Unraid to a new machine, much bigger. And now my UPS seems to be unfit for the task anymore. I had to disconnect it as much as I hate that. Is there a UPS calculator so I can decide what to purchase? I'd rather calculate taking into account the full capacity of the Unraid server in the end which will have 18 HDDs. I mounted an SMB share that shows my Readynas directories within Unraid console. How can I see and use this mounted share in Krusader so I can copy/move data from Readynas to Unraid? Thank you

You probably saved me from an unfortunate internet overseas purchase that would have cost me money, time and nerves. I will try to make sense of all that you wrote. I am not exactly proficient in that field. What you are telling me is basically to keep the architecture I am used to, just improve on it by choosing a better case that can hold all the HDDs I got and add more, ventilate them better than I do (very easy task unfortunately), and serve the HDDs well when it comes to power and management, right? Let's delve into that. At the moment I have a 9 HDDs + 1 SSD Unraid that uses 6 SATA ports on my old motherboard + 4 SATA extensions from a PCI adapter. My motherboard is a Gygabyte H55M-D2H with an i5 CPU and 4Gb RAM. I guess I used one of the 2 PCI slots available. I have another NAS with 6 HDDs and my main goal is to get rid of it and consolidate everything under Unraid so 15 HDDs + 1 SSD in the end. The way I see it finding a new case that can hold everything will be a challenge I can deal with. The problem for me is to understand how to connect all these HDDs and be able to scale up a bit maybe in the future even though I think that will be enough for me. Will my motherboard suffice? I don't understand how this miniSAS technology works. Is that what will allow me to multiply the number of HDD connections available and accommodate the future needs? Can you please elaborate exactly on that point? And one last thing. How is the RAM used for my regular uses? As I said no processing is done on Unraid. Only downloads and file reads from computers or media streamers. So, will I need more RAM as I multiply the number of HDDs ? Thank you very much

I will probably purchase the following JBOD https://www.datoptic.com/ec/15-drive-port-multiplier-enclosure-sbox-xv-html.html But I would be wise to order every single additional item necessary to be up and running in the least amount of time. Otherwise it will be very difficult for me to get these kind of material where I live. Seeing your pics I guess a minipc is out of the question to run Unraid since they don't have any PCI slots. Unless there is an external interface I could connect in between a minipc and the JBOD...... And my Unraid is used solely for 2 things: 1) nzb and torrent downloads 2) files accessed by multimedia streamers of computers. So no Plex or any use for special requirements on the Unraid side. I would appreciate more of your help.

Hello, I run Unraid on a big tower PC where I literally stuffed as many HDDs as possible. Now I want to move on to a JBOD enclosure (15 bay) I don't know anything about JBODs. 2 questions: 1) what connects a JBOD enclosure to a machine that runs Unraid (from a thumbdrive obviously)? what kind of cable, connector? What is required on the machine side? 2) what kind of machine, smallest possible, can run Unraid and fill the requirements to connect to a JBOD? Can this machine include the SSD drive I use for cache? That would save a bay on the JBOD. Please advise in terms of efficiency, speed, reliability, etc..... Thank you

Hello, LMS has been running for years on my Unraid. Suddenly today it is down. Checked on the Unraid console itself, says it is running. Webui is dead. Restart, reboot, didn't help. I uninstalled this version, then I installed the version available, the one saying 8.0 in her label, deleting all the remainder on my server. Clean slate. Same exact problem. Console says LMS runs. Webui is dead. LMS is not available at port 9000 as it should be. Uninstalled again and came back to this version. Still no luck. What is going on?????

At install I noticed that some stuff failed to install, some conflict at port 5353 !???? Cleaned all and reinstalled, modifying the 5353 port to 5354. This time the install was successful. Hello. I wish I could set a password. I just don't have access to the GUI yet. And the port used by Sickchill is 8081 and is not forwarded in my router. What other option do I have? Forget it! An update solved the problem apparently.
