    Nothing obvious.

    Are you doing this from another computer or from a monitor and keyboard attached to your server?

    If another computer, what browser? Adblockers or anything else that might interfere?

    OK, thank you, that was it. Segmented my network recently and did not switch of that for the new IP.

    seems to have ipmi-raw commands for your motherboard.

    based on that, this json file might work for you:

    {
        "ASRock": {
            "raw": "00 3a 01",
            "auto": "00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00",
            "full": "64 64 64 64 64 64 00 00",
            "fans": {
                "CPU_FAN1": "01",
                "CPU_FAN2": "01",
                "REAR_FAN1": "01",
                "REAR_FAN2": "01",
                "FRNT_FAN1": "01",
                "FRNT_FAN2": "01",
                "FAN_POS7": "01",
                "FAN_POS8": "01"
            }
        }
    }

    Just in case that blog article ever gets removed, here is the pertinent information:

    image.png.103d8589f270437d3e92b967e02982aa.png

    ipmitool raw 0x3a 0x01 AA BB CC DD EE FF 0x00 0x00

    Each block must be replaced with the requested fan control value.

    AA : CPU_FAN1

    BB : CPU_FAN2

    CC : REAR_FAN1

    DD : REAR_FAN2

    EE : FRNT_FAN1

    FF : FRNT_FAN2

    The control value is one of the following:

    0x00 Smart fan (Duty cycle setting from BIOS)

    0x04 min. RPM value

    ….     increase RPM value

    0x64 max. RPM value

    That, actually mnakes me wonder. I changed from 2550DI4 to the actual board. Also, on the 2550 the script to get the values worked wel..
    Will try it later on, anyway.

    Have you run the ipmi2json command to create the file for ASRock systems and can you supply the file.

    root@unraid:/boot/packages# ipmi2json --help

    Check ASRock IPMI fan locations using ipmi-raw command and
    create a json array for ipmifan script.

    Usage: ipmi2json [options]

      -f, --force      force start
          --debug      turn on debugging
          --help       display this help and exit
          --version    output version information and exit

    Hello,

    thanks for your support.
    The ipmi raw command leads to exactly nothing. It gives no return whatsoever.
    ipmi2json is attached:

    kind regards

    I have released 2023.12.02, If you have tested the Dev release you may need to update the Fans section as I have changed name to FAN123456 for All for Dell systems

    - Add FAN Control support for Dell systems.

    - Add Supermicro X12 options. Thanks to C4Wiz for PR.

    - Add ASRock EP2C612WS Support thanks to WillGunn for PR.

    - Set shift class in table sorter thanks to kcpants for PR.

    - Refactor code to allow easier models+boards to be added.

    Nice,
    but is there a possibility to add ASRockRack W680D4U-2L2T/G5
    it works fine with the sensors but won't find the fans.
    Can i deliver anything to make it easier for you?

    Kind regards
    Kai

  5. Dear all,
    my serverboard died a few days ago, so i bought a new one. The new one is a Asrock W680D4U-2L2T/G5.
    But thios won't boot any Unraid-USB-Stick. it doesn't matter if i take the one, which was attached to the dead board, or a completley new one, or even the one, from my backup-Unraid.
    The board doesn't talk to me about it, it won't say, that this is no boot device or somethiong like that, it just gets back to bios or boot menue, depending on how i tried to boot from the stick.

    a Truenas stick bootet immediately, as did an batocera stick.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  6. Sorry, i couldn't find an answer in the faq or somewhere else.
    If there is a howto or something similar, please close/delete this and point me to it.

    There have been some issues in the recent past, so i decided to switch hardware. (just Motherboard CPU and RAM)
    From my understanding there should be no trouble at all, simply changing hardware, building the array exactly as it was and telling the config the parity drive allready is valid. or maybe, the drives will be set correctly already? (but i doubt that as the sata controllers and Ports will be changed)

    Am i wrong on this? The license is, as i understood it, tied to the USB-Stick and nothing else!?

    as bonus questions, i'd like to change parity drive as well and switch to SSD , but i am not fixated on using it as a parity drive, most likely all drives will switch to ssd sooner or later anyway, what are the up- and downsides doing it to the parity first?

  7. Dear all,
    i tried to remove a HDD with this
    https://wiki.unraid.net/Shrink_array
    it all went well, until i stopped the array. it got stuck in unmounting drive 7 which i removed with this method, saying unmount drive 7, drive not mounted.
    i read in the forum, the only way out of this loop seems to be rebotting the server.
    After the reboot i followed the manual again and made a new config and started the array.
    it got stucked in mounting the disks, as it said and told me this

    can anyone tell me, what to try?

  8. Maybe, i got this all wrong, but i was wondering about a line in netstat, while searching for something completely different.

    Quote

    tcp6       0      0 UNRAID.fritz.box:50408  119.142.196.35.bc.:http ESTABLISHED

    and just out of curiosity i disabled IPV6, to reactivate it afterwards. But as i did so, netstat still began showing a lot of tcp V6 connections, Here are a few

    Quote

    tcp6       0      0 [::]:microsoft-ds       [::]:*                  LISTEN
    tcp6       0      0 UNRAID.fritz.box:34876  GoogleTV.fritz.box:9080 TIME_WAIT
    tcp6       0      0 UNRAID.fritz.box:35234  GoogleTV.fritz.box:9080 TIME_WAIT
    tcp6       0      0 UNRAID.fritz.box:40370  sdp55-41e09a.frit:45043 ESTABLISHED

    And as i said before, maybe i got it all wrong, but shouldn't Unraid stop listening on IPV6 and stop establishing IPV6-connections, when IPV6 is disabled?

    Bonus Question, what is going in the first quoted line?

    OS is Unraid 6.11.0-rc4

    Seems there is no support for TMM over here?
    i got two problems, the first is the same that @kowabunga_dude and @sdballer are sharing.
    I'm pretty shure ist is the update to V4.
    Yo can fix this be deleting the tmm folder in appdata, but then you have to start new, but TMM3 will run again.

    the second one, to even use v3, i seem to get no chance to set my folders in the software the container simply shows nothing at /mnt/ so i can't even get started. anyone had that and solved it?

    ok, nevermind, got it.
    Update to V4 still won't work.

    use that openhab/openhab:2.5.11-debian  or openhab:latest

    dont forget to backup before you update

    I am waiting for 3.x it should be released soon

    sorry, i don't get that.
    is there a manual to do it, like you intend it to be done?
    the "openhabian-way" doesn't work
    the runtime update says i am already on 2.5.0 even if i tell him to update to 2.5.11
    and with apt i am getting nowhere

    You've got three SATA controllers on there with red, white, and black ports - have you tried changing which one the encrypted drive is connected to? You'll need a mini-SAS cable for the black ones.

    Do you have a SATA PCIe card? That would eliminate the onboard controllers as an issue.

    ok, thanks...and fuck, this is a really good idea, while i tested other Ports (of course) i left my controller in the closet
    The mini-SAS cable is in the package btw.
