You can use the FCP plugin docker safe new permissions tool, it doesn't touch the appdata folder.
I think a technical control should be implemented here to account for docker presence.

Not sure it's a bug.
Running new permissions on appdata or the system share is not a good idea (especially if you are using docker with a directory rather than an image).
I see. Shouldn't this be documented somewhere or may be as a guardrail be a warning that it can break things for Docker? -
Can anyone else reproduce this bug?

The good news is if you have already configured the Dynamix System Temps plugin it will continue to report temps just fine. Perl is only needed for the initial setup.
Good to know, thanks!

Not a problem with the release, but just thought I would mention it for other users.
NerdPack hasn't been updated to work with this.
Which means perl and temperature monitoring won't work? That's not good news.

Can confirm run into the same issue. Drives that are not assigned to an array and for example are used as passthrough drives for the VM, send out notifications for drives surpassing the default thresholds of 45C, regardless of the values you set.
-
Also noticed that when you reset drive assignments, your settings get reset as well - I think that's wrong:
The following settings get reset:
Global disk settings
[Disk Settings]
- Enable auto start
- Default file system
- Shutdown time-out
- Tunable (nr_requests)
- Tunable (md_write_methods)[Global SMART Settings]
- Default SMART notification value

Unlikely
If the partition table was improperly setup to begin with, this could very well be an issue though - am I wrong?

I just did without any issues, on v6.9.2, but yeah, post the diags, might be something visible there.
Interesting, I just re-did as well and it worked as intended... I did notice that there was a difference on the space required for the filesystem and this went down from 72GB to 69GB on a 10TB drive, wonder if this was the issue...
-
I could re-produce this at the cost of losing data on the array, I'll do a re-pro and post diagnostics.

Beta22 already? Man you guys are working fast. And that's a major release, kudos to the diligence done in testing and fixes!

I made a video on what the new 6.7.0 looks like etc. There is a mistake in this video where I talk about the webgui: VM manager: remove and rebuild USB controllers. What I thought it was, I found out after it was available in 6.6.6 as well so wasnt it !!
Also shows how to upgrade to rc for those who don't know and downgrade again after if needs be.

Thanks man, much appreciated!

Looks very slick. A+ .

For those that don't want to upgrade to RC, can somebody do a few screenshots and let us see?
And do a quick review? That would be awesome.

Thanks for the info. I got 4 unRAID boxes and I want to take the strategic approach.
-
So let's break this down.
What you are saying, the proper route to go in this case is to install this plugin:
https://forums.unraid.net/topic/38582-plug-in-community-applications/
Which is maintained by @Squid ?
Or is this going to become part of unRAID 'core' in the near future?

It is highly recommended to use "Community Applications" as the way to install docker containers.
The repository system is likely to be deprecated in future releases.
Oh... Well hello there news.

If you're using "private" repositories (ie: ones that you've created yourself and not shared, or other ones that aren't available in CA), then create a path /config/plugins/community.applications/private/nameOfRepository on the flash drive and toss all of the applicable xml files in there.
IE: I've tried to make CA such that anything you can do with the Repositories section in the docker tab you can do with CA.
Yeah I am using the following repo's:
https://github.com/limetech/docker-templates
https://github.com/binhex/docker-templates
https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-templates
https://github.com/linuxserver/beta-templatesYour reference to CA is Community Applications? Just want to be clear on the terminology here.

Alternative though is to simply forget about using repositories altogether and use Apps for everything instead. It DOES support "private" repositories which you may have added
Can you elaborate please on the use of 'Apps' in this case or link me to a guide so I can educate myself? Thanks.

Why is this urgent? Looks more an annoyance.
Does your server crash or has data loss?
I've changed it from urgent to annoyance, but It is a SIGNIFICANT one. I have to go through template ONE BY ONE to see what is what. I don't normally complain and try to be supportive, but I had to setup a few servers this weekend and this has caused me a great amount of pain and time wasted.
And don't take this personally, I still heavily support unRAID
6.12.4 - "Bad parameter" when starting docker after "New permissions" on cache pool

But if this is reported as a bug, can't developers turn it into a feature request then?
