  1. Hello. I've got my main windows machine running on an: i7 920 Gigabyte EX58-UD5 24GB ram R9 290x SSD for OS 2 HDD for Data & Games I'm considering moving my unRAID (currently running on a C60M1-I in a Chenbro ES34069, a perfect combo for low-power, near silent NAS) onto this hardware, virtualizing my Win8.1 machine. Is it possible to directly attach the additional SATA controller found on the MB (2 x JMB322) to attach the additional HDD & ODD to the VM ? Is it possible to attach the onboard sound card to the VM ? Will using an Asus P6T be preferable for this purpose ? btw - is it possible to do a P2V to my existing Win install? Thanks
  2. Is there an easy way to switch from BTSync docker to the plugin? Will the plugins still be supported in v6 final?
  3. Hello. Currently using BTSync, Plex and Maraschino using your V1 plugins on unraid 5.0.5. If I replace the current plg files with the V2 ones and restart the server, will the configuration for the plugins continue working or should I configure everything again ? Thanks
  4. Can you post the output for these? attached fan_input.txt pwm.txt
  5. Please post the result of this command: find -L /sys/class/hwmon/ -maxdepth 5 -iname "pwm[0-9]" 2>/dev/null Here you go: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/device/pwm1 /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/device/pwm2 /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/device/pwm3 Those are the three possible pwm controls from my it87 board. Ok, I need one last command output: find /sys/devices -iname "hwmon[0-9]" -exec echo {} \; -exec ls -la {} \; /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:18.3/hwmon/hwmon0 total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Mar 2 19:57 . drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Mar 2 07:35 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 2 08:10 device -> ../../../0000:00:18.3 -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 08:10 name drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Mar 2 16:33 power lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 2 07:35 subsystem -> ../../../../../class/hwmon -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 08:10 temp1_crit -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 08:10 temp1_crit_hyst -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 08:10 temp1_input -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 08:10 temp1_max -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 07:35 uevent /sys/devices/platform/it87.656/hwmon/hwmon1 total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Mar 2 19:57 . drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Mar 2 16:34 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 2 16:34 device -> ../../../it87.656 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Mar 2 16:34 power lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 2 16:34 subsystem -> ../../../../../class/hwmon -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Mar 2 16:34 uevent There you go, hope that helps. Got the exact same problem and the exact same results running the commands... Any chance for a solution? Thanks
  6. I think I've missed something. What is the benefit of installing Powerdown and how is it different then the default operation of unRaid ? Sorry for hijacking this thread. Will gladly move the discussion somewhere else if needed...
  7. Hi. Now that the APCUPSD plugin is part of the core of unraid, is it still needed to install the powerdown plugin ? Thanks
  8. Can you explain what to do so it will continue working after a system restart ? Thanks
  9. Well, at least it's not just me ;-) Anyway, did you post it at the Beta's thread, so it'll get fixed ?
  10. I'm using docker on a reiserfs formatted cache drive. Is it a problem ? Doing a " docker images -a" I receive: REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED VIRTUAL SIZE gfjardim/crashplan latest 5b583eacd453 2 weeks ago 628 MB <none> <none> eb077b14f199 2 weeks ago 289 MB <none> 11. Hi. Anyone figured it out ? It seems one of my dockers is eating up all the free space. Already set my docker image size to 50GB and it's all filled up :-( Thanks
  12. Using ver 6b12 with a few plugins. Any idea where to start troubleshooting? Thanks
  13. Hi. Would like to hear your opinions as to installing a Ubuntu-server based VM for SABnzbd+SickBeard+CouchPotato+Headphones vs installing those apps as Dockers. What are the benefits of one way or the other ? How can one measure the memory usage impact and disk space utilization of the two ? The only thing I can think of as a benefit of using a VM is the updating of the apps, which doesn't require one to wait for the docker maintainer to update the container (which appeared to be a bit of a problem when using plugins)... Will be glad to read your two (or more) cents
  14. Actually, I don't mean Bleeding Edge, but stable version update. For instance - CrashPlan updated it's client to ver3.5.4, or SABnzbd updated to 0.7.20. Will the Docker based CrashPlan update itself and stay persistent after a reboot, or the docker builder will have to update the version inside the container and the users will have to manually update their dockers ? Thanks
  15. Was about to post a question in the forum why the dockered apps don't auto-update, then saw this post. So the best way to go if I do want an automaticly updated app is a VM?
  16. Just wanted to point out you don't have to buy 2 6tb drives right now. You can buy just one, use it to replace the parity then you'll have a free 3tb drive to add to the array. As for the preclear - my best-practice advice for building an unraid server is leaving one SATA+power connector free for future upgrades & maintanance...
  17. go to /boot/config/plugins/dynamix and edit dynamix.php.cfg. look for a line ";extension=soap.so", remove the semicolons at the beginning, save the file and stop then start the web server plugin...
  18. Looking at the Array Devices tab, while doing some reading & writing to the array, the numbers of Reads and Writes are static, unless I refresh the page or switch between tab, even though I've set "Real-time" under Display Settings -> Page update frequency. Using v6b12 after clean install
  19. Is there an open bug for display not getting refreshed ? 6b12, clean install Thanks
  20. Is it possible to upgrade a running 5.0.6 by removing the plugins folders & replacing the files?
  21. Did you try backing up the thumb drive and upgradi g to a newer unraid version? If i recall correctly, there's a nice upgrading procedure that allows you to keep your disks configuration
  22. You choose to which library to upload to. Haven't tried changing the default, but probably can be done by creating the share you want on the array and adding it to Plex as a pictures library. Then you'll be able to choose it as the target
  23. It uploads itself automatically. You can choose in the settings to enable upload over mobile data, if you've got an unlimited plan...
  24. I know BTSync has a photosync option. Personally I'm using Plex to do that (but you gotta have a PlexPass subscription for that, AFAIK)
