Reads will always be faster, writes can degrade over time, it will mostly depend on the devices used.

It will degrade at a point that I will have to rebuilt the array?

If I use a single pool ssd trim will work?

If I use zfs with two ssd disk trim will work?

    Thanks

Possible yes, recommended no, USB devices are not recommend for array or pool, they are prone to disconnects, but some can work reasonably well.

Yes, but in the array TRIM won't work, it will with pools.

If I use ssd disk/nvme's as an array will be a problem if trim isn't working? It will still be much faster than mechanical disks? Or I could use one ssd as a pool then trim will work? I will backup everything anyway.

I want to built something small easy to handle because as a disabled person it isn't easy to built or handle a pc

  3. Is it possible to install unraid in a mini pc and use an external disk via usb?  It should work without using a parity without problems? If I use and a parity disk it will might not work ?

Also does unraid support nvme/ssd disks? If I use them for an array?

  4. I just run a few dockers, I won't use much VM's only for testing or a Linux VM. Only for backup and sometimes I play videos direct from the server. What CPU would you suggest to use, low Tdp, low idle power?

  5. So maybe the problem is the low performance of the drivers that are very old. Because I want to upgrade the disks I will try that first on N36L and if it's still slow I will upgrade the system.

  6. I found only this one:

Adds Slackware's SNMP package to unRAID. This allows users to get CPU utilization, RAM usage, disk activity, and more via the SNMP protocol. Also includes HDD- and unRAID share-related scripts created by Coppit.

But it has a comment "Due to how this plugin is currently designed, it requires a reinstall whenever you reboot your server". I really do not want to reinstall after every reboot.

  7. Hello,

I got a warning ,  Warning [] - current pending sector is 1, Unraid Disk 2 SMART health [197]: Warning [ZEUS] - current pending sector is 1

WDC_xxxxx (sdd) Unraid array errors:Warning [ZEUS] - array has errors  Array has 1 disk with read errors.
I received one more mail warning Disk 2 - WDC_xxxxx(sdd) (errors 5). Is it one or five errors?

I run SMART extended --> Completed without error,  and Parity check finished (0 errors).

There is one warning in attributes section :
197Current pending sector 0x0032200200000Old age Always  Never  1

The hard disk is too old, should I replace it immediately  ?  How can I make sure if hard disk is ok or not?

    Thank you
