Something causes du -sb /mnt/disk1/shared-folder to run. How can I find what starts this command? It slows down unraid because it has a lot of files in that folder.

If I use SSDs to create ZFS raidz there will be no problem with trim right?

Just now, JorgeB said:
Reads will always be faster, writes can degrade over time, it will mostly depend on the devices used.
It will degrade at a point that I will have to rebuilt the array?
If I use a single pool ssd trim will work?
If I use zfs with two ssd disk trim will work?
Thanks

Possible yes, recommended no, USB devices are not recommend for array or pool, they are prone to disconnects, but some can work reasonably well.
Yes, but in the array TRIM won't work, it will with pools.
If I use ssd disk/nvme's as an array will be a problem if trim isn't working? It will still be much faster than mechanical disks? Or I could use one ssd as a pool then trim will work? I will backup everything anyway.
I want to built something small easy to handle because as a disabled person it isn't easy to built or handle a pc

Is it possible to install unraid in a mini pc and use an external disk via usb? It should work without using a parity without problems? If I use and a parity disk it will might not work ?
Also does unraid support nvme/ssd disks? If I use them for an array?

Is it possible to create an array only with ssd disks?

I was thinking too use 12100 or 12400. Is the much difference in power draw?

After upgrade I had to change dockers with network type from bridge to host, otherwise it replaced with an 172.* ip address. Dockers with custom ip didn't change. Ipvlan is only for those with two network cards in bridge?

Hi, everyone! Is this video still valid to shrink an array ? I have 3 disks and want to remove 1.
-
I just run a few dockers, I won't use much VM's only for testing or a Linux VM. Only for backup and sometimes I play videos direct from the server. What CPU would you suggest to use, low Tdp, low idle power?

Hello, is there a way to upgrade from 3 hdd's to 2 hdd's in larger sizes?
-
So maybe the problem is the low performance of the drivers that are very old. Because I want to upgrade the disks I will try that first on N36L and if it's still slow I will upgrade the system.
-
Single large file. Can I transfer the disks and the flash drive to another system and upgrade like that easily? I can find a system with i5-2300 CPU.
-
About 25-30 mb/sec.
-
N36L isn't enough powerful for unraid? Running iperf I get gigabit speeds but disks are slow. Using the disks without unraid I can read/write 100mb/sec.

I set a root password via ssh but after rebooting the password is blank again. Ho to change the root password permanently?

Use the recover password procedure, it will work the same.
If someone never had a root password just log in via ssh as root without password and set a root password, that worked.

Hello, I just ugraded and I have to enter username and password, which I never had, please help

I have the same question. I wonder how to use LAN IP for each docker like it works on unraid.

Do I have to reinstall the plugin after every reboot?
-
I found only this one:
Adds Slackware's SNMP package to unRAID. This allows users to get CPU utilization, RAM usage, disk activity, and more via the SNMP protocol. Also includes HDD- and unRAID share-related scripts created by Coppit. But it has a comment "Due to how this plugin is currently designed, it requires a reinstall whenever you reboot your server". I really do not want to reinstall after every reboot. -
Hello,
Where is SNMP settings ? How can I enable it?

Terramaster F4-424 Pro will work with unraid? I'm looking something compact, easy to manage. Can I just select from bios to boot from unraid usb disk?
