  1. LOL....no certainly did not:) I have now cleaned out everything. Went through all drives, users and cache to be sure. The log now seems "fine". It does not continuesly log every second anymore. But I do get an errormessage as follows when entering the following command root@MainStation:/mnt/cache/appdata/mariadb# docker exec -it mariadb-nextcloud bash root@cb7d95b5f1a9:/# mysql -uroot -p Enter password: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) root@cb7d95b5f1a9:/#
  2. @CHBMB I tried to delete the docker again and install it again. Before doing any configuration it just does the same. I thought a clean install wouuld do the trick. I have no backup as I know of. Will try that trick in the terminal that you described in the post you linked to.
  3. I do not get that. It just shows the same thing over and over again: ErrorWarningSystemArrayLogin 171118 14:02:07 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:09:59 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /config/databases 171118 14:10:02 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:10:02 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /config/databases 171118 14:10:06 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:11:17 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /config/databases 171118 14:11:21 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:11:21 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /config/databases 171118 14:11:24 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:11:24 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /config/databases 171118 14:11:27 mysqld_safe Logging to syslog. 171118 14:11:28 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases EDIT: Manage to get the first lines: ErrorWarningSystemArrayLogin [cont-init.d] 40-initialise-db: executing... 4. After several issues with Nextcloud I have decided to try reinstalling it. I'm hovever having no luck as i get the following error after entering the password when creating the databse. Enter password: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2 "No such file or directory") Any ideas?
  5. I marked every folder and files in the folder and the calculation went well. When i Mark the folder itself it comes up with permission issue on one folder. Apparently it is the NextcloudFiles folder.
  6. It is stored in /mnt/user/NextcloudFiles Are you serious? This mean that I can never change the filesystem on my drive. I thought the shares worked like it made similar system on all disks so it didn't matter which drive the information is stored on.
  7. Hi Have an issue. I want to move the folder that contains all my files that I share on Nextcloud. It comes up with an message that some files and folders have the wrong permission. It tells my to run new safe permissions. I have done that but there are still folders that have an permission issue. Any ideas?
  8. Ah! Didn't remember the parity! Thanks for the explanation!:)
  9. Hi. Have just installed unbalanced and in my opinion it seems to be a great utility! Two questions! I'm currently moving files from one drive to another. both normal sata drives. Is the speed supposed to be about 30MB/s? When using the gather function, should i also change the setting for the share from using all drives to only the drive that i'm moving the files to? I thought that changing the settings for the share regarding which disks to use (and not) would do the same thing as this program but that are maybe only for new files added to the share!?
  10. Sorry. Wrong forum. It is now a plugin...:)
  11. Got this sorted out yesterday. I started to have issues with it due to missing an upgrade i suspect. I could log in, but could not log on to the server from minecraft client. Anyway. My first thought was that maybe there was something wrong with permissions so offcourse i hit the "Set new permissions". It came up with some warnings that I didnt read in detail.......In my head I thougt that setting new permissions would maybe open to much instead of too little. Making a long story short everytning went to hell. Minecraft webui would not open, nextcloud would work and I have more or less just given up on the whole server when CHBMB contacted me and offered some assistance to see if it could be fixed. After a little check and setting new permissions for nextcloud and minecraft everything worked as a charm! What a great community!:D
  12. Did not work on my minecraft server:( Any more ideas or am i forced to delete my whole server and start all over?
  13. Hi This is how my shares look like. I can not remember making the shares for most of this stuff. Can I remove them? If not. How can i fix the warning on them? Why are they on unprotected storage? What does this actually mean?
  14. I have one disk with btrfs and 2 that are xfs. How can I change this so that all disks are using same fs?
  15. Sounds great. Thanks for clarifying all this.
  16. Thanks for the explenation! Really appreciated! I will use the GUI for managing this. Seems a lot easier. The CLI interface was just in case of an emergency:) I'm looking forward to come home and check this out. I will leave it as it is with /mnt/users/movies. As I understand Movies will then be the top level and each movie folder below will then be level 2. Like /mnt/users/Movies/Avatar. I can then choose to split level 1 but not two if I understand this correctly since the movies can be spread on several disks, but I would like the Avatar folder to remain intakt.
  17. Hi thanks for taking your time to explain this. If I understand you correctly. When I create a Share “Movies”, it will then create this folder on each disk that I decide to split this Share over. Correct? I also found this § User Shares are implemented using proprietary code which builds a composite directory hierarchy of all the data disks. This is created on a tmpfs file system mounted on /mnt/tmp. User Shares are exported using a proprietary FUSE pseudo-file system called 'shfs' which is mounted on /mnt/users. So I guess this means that all my files that I copy to a share is located under /mnt/users. Agreed? Is this just a default location that can be changed? I would rather want all my movies to under /home/Movies instead but if it is not possible then I can live with it:) At work now but will browse the disks when I come home to see if I can find my files:) The split level I have read about and I think I understand how it works.
  18. Ok, Thanks. Just good to know. Any thoughts regarding question 1?
  19. Hi. I have a few questions regarding storing files on the server. When I make a share and name it, lets say, Movies. Where are the movies actually stored on the disks? If my server crashes or my usb drive dies. Where do I find the files on my disks? Can I plug the disk into an ordinary windows machine and browse them without issues or do I need to plug them into an Linux machine? I have tried to find the information in the faq but could not locate the exact answers to this.
  20. Is there any way to store the user settings (usernames, passwords, access) and then reinstall both maria and nextcloud? I'm going to try this when I get home from work. Seems to be what I'm looking for:
