  1. I'm having three issues, wondering if anyone else is? 1. I just updated the docker. When I opened the dashboard, all the block lists I added last night were gone and i was back to a smaller list I've had the past few months. 2. I cannot remove any lists on the block list. When I click on the trash can, it puts a line through the URL. I hit save or save and apply and nothing happens, it remains there. I can probably remove it from /etc/pihole/adlists.list but I want to be able to do this through the GUI. 3. When i change the password and restart the docker, it forgets what i set the password and goes back to default. edit: added a third issue
  2. @bonienl is there info on how to find this option in 6.4 rc8q? I checked the network settings and it looks pretty I tried Ken-ji's method in 6.4 rc8q and it works but doesn't survive a reboot for some reason. Wondering if there is a better way to do it.
  3. I'm good now. Just using standard FTP. Thanks for following up!
  4. Got it, missed that part. No worries, this is internal. Main server to backup server using duplicati backup. I guess I can just use FTP in that case
  5. Has anyone tried this on 6.4rc8q? It's my first time using the plugin, but i followed the instructions. Created a new user with 'ftpuser /mnt/user/Backup' without quotes, restarted it. I can't connect. FileZilla says "Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server". I tried with console based sftp in linux and it also refuses to connect. I've restarted the server. Didn't help.
  6. Where'd you make your setting changes? The ones done in the GUI don't stick, you have to ensure they are done in the Rtorrent config files in your appdata.
  7. It was the password. Funny because I've been using the same password for the last 6 months or so. Also, I tried changing the password as one of my troubleshooting steps before posting. But it didn't like that one either [emoji2]. Had to remove any special characters. Thanks gents! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  8. That didn't help. I removed both. Started fresh, when i try to install with default values it gives the same error. If i try and install using my mariadb-nextcloud details, it installs fine. Bizarre. Any other ideas?
  9. @CHBMB I have a strange issue. I was moving all my dockers from /mnt/cache/docker/appdata to /mnt/user/appdata (and also recreating my docker container from that macvlan issue you helped me with) and for some reason my mariadb container threw a strange error (below). What's weird is, i have two mariadb containers, "mariadb" and "mariadb-nextcloud". My nextcloud one works just fine and reinstalled just fine. But the mariadb one keeps throwing up the error. I've even tried switching the template to the nextcloud and changing the details but it keeps throwing the error. I manually added the docker using "docker run -d ...." but i can't edit anything and it won't update when you guys push an update. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? When i try to update it says no template found. I've removed it and tried creating a new one fresh and it still throws up the error. 10. Woohoo! That worked! It's all working for me now. Many thanks @ken-ji , @CHBMB and @bonienl !
  11. Thanks Gents. I'll give that a go and report back.
  12. So if 6.4 RC7 added some macvlan stuff that got stuck in the docker.img and i go back to 6.3.5. If I were to wipe the docker.img, i'd go back to a fresh 6.3.5 state?
  13. So I went back to 6.4RC7 and tried to undo whatever I might have done there. I deleted the Macvlan interface (docker network rm) that was there in 6.4RC7, not sure if that was something I had done, or if that is something that is done automatically in RC7. Cleaned things up and went back to 6.3.5, but same thing happens. I disabled VLAN, so that's gone now. With Bridging enabled, it won't let me create the docker network using br0 saying another interface is already using it. With Bridging disabled it won't let me install it for another reason, I can't recall. I'll have to try it again. Ah well Do you know if i wipe my docker image, will it reset anything that 6.4 RC7 might have done?
  14. I did and things went horribly wrong BTW, great job on the new templates.
  15. BTW, just to be sure. I know VLAN should be disabled. But should I have bridging enabled or no? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  16. Do you think regenerating the Docker image will help? I may also install 6.4 RC7 again and try to undo whatever I did in that short time span i had it installed. But I'll try to get myself back to stock setup. Thanks for the help so far. I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a mess
  17. When I initially started, VLAN was disabled and I still had the same problems. I only enabled it after as a troubleshooting step. I will disable and do it again, but I don't think it will help. To answer your question about br0.1, it's the same steps you outline in your OP but instead of br0, which I couldn't use because it says it is already being used by another interface, i tried br0.1. That's obviously not right, but I was trying to see how to get this working. From an earlier post, this is what happens when i follow your instructions for the Single NIC solution: Error response from daemon: network dm-ba57b5a60b33 is already using parent interface br0 The only other thing I can think of is, i tried 6.4 RC7 for a little while, I wonder if something happened with that before i backed out to 6.3.5 again.
  18. This is in your original post: "With only a single NIC, and no VLAN support on your network, it is impossible for the host unRAID to talk to the containers and vice versa; the macvlan driver specifically prohibits this. This situation prevents a reverse proxy docker from proxying unRAID, but will work with all other containers on the new docker network. " I thought that latter part of that paragraph was that it'd still work as long as i wasn't trying to have the container talk to unRaid. Shouldn't that still mean the container can talk to the outside world? or did I misunderstand what you're saying? In what cases does your single NIC example work? Is it not feasible if you don't have a VLAN supported network? I do have a second NIC and can try your 2 NIC reco, but i was hoping to isolate the second NIC specifically for a VM running PFSense (which i haven't started yet).

  22. I tried creating this with -o parent=br0.1 and it created it. But when I assign an IP to a docker it is not reachable. root@Tower:/mnt/user/appdata/pihole# docker inspect pihole | grep IPAddress "SecondaryIPAddresses": null, "IPAddress": "", "IPAddress": "192.168.79.128", root@Tower:/mnt/user/appdata/pihole# docker exec pihole ping www.google.com ping: bad address 'www.google.com' i also can't reach the webui of the docker either.
  23. When I try to run the command in the OP, i get the following error: Error response from daemon: network dm-ba57b5a60b33 is already using parent interface br0 I attached my network settings and also an ifconfig readout with docker enabled, but all dockers turned off. Not sure if I have things set up right. I have 2 NIC's (both Intel onboard), but i have the second NIC detatched from unRAID and available to a VM using append vfio-pci.ids=etc.
  24. Thanks Squid! Enjoy a few beers on me!
  25. Your wife's betrayal should force her to watch it a second time with you. That's only fair.
