  1. Awesome Squid, thanks for the quick response.
  2. After 4 years I have encountered my first errors and I am unclear if I need to pull and replace the drive immediately or not. My array health report came back as "[FAIL] - (disk has read errors) [NOK]" The drive is now listed with 118 errors from 4 days ago. That number has not increased since then. My scheduled parity check was completed with no issues. I pulled the SMART report, can see the errors, but I honestly have no idea what I am looking at. I am running 6.8.3 a Proliant ML10 v2. with 4 data drives, a parity drive and a SSD for cache. Just based on size (6TB), this drive was one of the next ones to be upgraded, but I wasn't in a rush. Should I accelerate my timeline and get this one out ASAP? SMART report attached, any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated. -P WDC_WD60EFRX-68L0BN1_WD-WX11D76NYLSE-20210305-0913.txt
  3. Thanks Johnnie.Black, I'll get on it now.
  4. I received two emails from my setup last night indicating SMART warnings. I am brand new at this, and want to make sure I take the correct actions. From searching the forums I believe these drives are noted to have some issues. Ver 6.2.4 1) The drive was previously used in a Win7 box as a backup drive 2) I pre-cleared, and then had unRAID format it before adding it to my array three weeks ago Email warnings: Event: unRAID Disk 3 SMART health [198] Subject: Warning [YOJIMBO] - offline uncorrectable is 8 Description: ST3000DM001-1CH166_W1F286RY (sdf) Importance: warning Event: unRAID Disk 3 SMART health [197] Subject: Warning [YOJIMBO] - current pending sector is 8 Description: ST3000DM001-1CH166_W1F286RY (sdf) Importance: warning This is what I see in the Attributes section for the drive with 197 and 198 highlighted: 194 Temperature celsius 0x0022 030 049 000 Old age Always Never 30 (0 16 0 0 0) 197 Current pending sector 0x0012 100 100 000 Old age Always Never 8 198 Offline uncorrectable 0x0010 100 100 000 Old age Offline Never 8 199 UDMA CRC error count 0x003e 200 200 000 Old age Always Never 0 This is what I see in SMART self-test history: Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error # 1 Short offline Completed without error 00% 15333 Do I understand correctly that I need to swap out this drive as soon as I can? I have a WD Red that I can replace it with, but it has not yet been pre-cleared so I am a day or two out before I can make the swap (which I have never done before but I am guessing is not that complicated). I have an additional SATA port that I will use to pre-clear the new drive. Thanks for any help or insight you can offer.
