how can i get a Diagnostics from a drive not in pool

when i try to clear my 6tb hard drive it fills up the log cache to 100% this drive passed a full extended test and a erase with western digital data diagnostic but in HD Tune it has a C7 interface cfc error count of 11730 which i fault was done because i had a cable gong bad my question is this when i try and preclear it my log goes upto 100% has this only happens on this drive also if i check the preview i can see some errors or warrings but its so fast im not sure what it says is this drive ok to use

diagnostics didnt do anything and cp /var/log/syslog /boot/logs/syslog.txt Linux 4.18.20-unRAID. root@Abyss:~# cp /var/log/syslog /boot/logs/syslog.txt root@Abyss:~# just done that

ive had some problem with my unraid and i Had about 3 hours left of a parity rebuild i then had 100% full on the log and now the Web GUI is unresponsive what can i do

The 4tb drive just stopped working it's dead but the 6tb keeps stopping not sure why As the drive is over 5 years old I thought it would be best to replace it now anyway The 6tb is in a usb enclosure doing a preclear at the moment it passed the smart tests on my pc But disk 13 keeps getting worse why the errors My original plane was to replace my two 4tb drives Disk 5 and 13 I did change the sata cable and port on the disk 4 which was the original 6tb I've also got coming today two new sas cables just to be sure it's not that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Hello guys and girls I'm in a bit of a pickle I've had two drives fail on me One 6tb and the other a 4tb So I replaced the 6 with a new 10tb and started the rebuilding then noticed I added it to the wrong drive the 4tb so stopped ( I'm sure that's the wrong thing to do but it's done now ) Then started again but made sure it was on the correct slot this time the 6 But my problem now is in the emulated disks slot what was once the 4 it now says 10 So my question is this it now says 10 with only 4tb of data on it once the rebuilding is done on the other drive can I down size this one to a smaller drive as I have a 6tb I can replace it with

I’ve finished doing my sever all working great I only have a p400 but that’s all I need I can’t hear if the fans running at full speed until I get in later because I set this up with Remote Desktop from my phone

So can I ask this is it also going to use the CPU to do the audio coding as a GPU can’t do that or would it be better to just leave it as a CPU as I have a Xeon x5670 but x265 is a killer for me

i had the server shut down already to check the cables and when i powered backon i had a parity sync rebuild start .......strange i have to see whats going to happen after the sync is done fingers crossed

i have had this parity drive disabled icon on my server now for about 2 weeks i think if i do smart tests it reads the drive ok and reports a pass i just powered down to check the cables all good im not sure what is wrong and how to go about fixing it

i have Call Traces found on your server and my parity drive keeps getting errors i now have a new parity drive doing a pre clear i think this all happened when the gas man shut down all the electric in the house with out asking i have this in common fix plugin unclean shutdown detected of your server
