    I've just seen that they have removed the middle set of mounting holes on the bottom and on the sides of the white label 12TB drives, does this just affect that capacity of drive, or do other models share the same changes?

    What exactly is causing spindown to be broken for SAS drives? Is it a Kernel issue? How does unRaid communication with SAS drives differ to that of SATA?

    Ah, I remembered it was an issue when I first started using unraid but didn't realise it hadn't been fixed yet.

    Moved my drives over to a new machine and noticed I'm now getting ioctl errors in my log, my drives are set to spin down after 1 hour. In the dashboard disk5 isn't showing a temperature because it is presumably spun down but unraid still thinks it's spun up as the ball next to the drive is green. Can I fix this or is it an issue with the drive not correctly reporting its status? tower-diagnostics-20191114-2233.zip

    The SAS controller cable came today so I took the opportunity to move everything over, it was very painless, first boot picked up all the drives aside from one which I had knocked the power out of, really like how you can lift and shift with unraid and maintain configuration. I now have an extra bay which I have immediately added another 2tb drive to, making a total of 25TB. Very happy with my R5 build 😁😁😁

    Can you try installing windows and see if the CPU ramps up correctly?

    It was't showing abnormally large but interestingly it suddenly dropped to more normal levels so not sure what was going on.

    My docker image is almost full and I believe resilio-sync docker is the cause, is there any way to confirm this?

    Might be better to get a case with 5.25 inch bays top to bottom and then just fill it with the 3 in 2x5.25 bays.

    Silverstone cs380b with a SST-FS303B in the 5.25 inch bays. I considered it, but didn't want to compromise on cooling and so went for the R5 with the SST-FS303B which gives me 11 bays.

    Can you reverse proxy this docker or does this cause issues with remote client backup?

    I don't have a GPU and it runs fine, you don't need the APU.

    I've never seen Plex transcoding limited to the speed of one thread, when watching CPU utilisation when someone starts a stream, every thread hits 100% on my server as Plex races to pre-buffer.

    Dell PERC H310 off eBay and follow the crossflashing guide. Rather than the 3000 series, why not get a 2600? You still get plenty of processing power. This is what I have built for about £400 not including drives.

    What is the /download path in the container used for if you are syncing two folders?

    You need to use the unbalance plugin to move the data off that disk so that it's empty.

    So I just threw a random drive in and got a trial key for a different USB, I will run it like that for a while to ensure the system is stable. The only changes I made in the bios were to set idle power supply control to typical from auto and to enable SVM.

    Can I have Port A going from SFF-8087 to SATA and Port B going from sff 8087 to 8482 with no issues? I have 4 SAS drives and 6 SATA drives currently which I need to move into my new server, current server has 6 onboard SATA but new one disables SATA 5 and 6 when an NVME drive is connected.

    Could anyone tell me what bandwidth you should expect per drive on a h310? Would it be 3gbps per drive?

    Started the build this evening, haven't got the controller card yet and can't really move the drives over until I test stability (and any nuances with Ryzen I need to address) tempted to get a trial license for a new usb key so I don't have to take down my old server.

    Tested a random cable I had in a Windows PC and the SSD max'd out at 250MB/s which indicates to me that the cable does affect the negotiated speed?

    Will I need to flash my B450 board to an earlier BIOS? It has a Ryzen 3000 ready sticker on it so I guess I might have problems with graphics card passthrough if I don't?
