  1. Thanks guys I have a Corsair G650M in my unRAID box and a old Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 2 1000w from 2012 running in my gaming rig. Going to swap these around tomorrow and see how it goes. Also going to bypass the UPS for now as it keeps reporting 0 minutes run time even though the battery is fully charged(no replace battery warning) it is a APC Back-UPS Pro 1500
  2. Hi unRAIDers. I am having major issues with unRAID thinking it is funny reporting disks as "Failed" when they are working fine in other machines. It all started about 8 weeks ago when it reported a 4TB unassigned drive used for my steam cache as just missing it just disappeared from the unRAID UI. Rebooted and it came back but now it was reporting that a 4TB disk was only 14GB in size. Removed it from unRAID and put it in my gaming machine where it reported fine and crystal disk was happy so ran it with Disk Sentinel pro and it passed. Currently still running within my gaming machine and working fine. Then a few days later it reported 2 disks have failed. Me in a panic then got 3 8TB WD Golds as replacements put them in took the others out and it was OK. The 2 "dead" drives both passed all my tests in my other machine but kept failing Pre clear in unRAID. The 8TB Ironwolf Pro would not even detect the device name just a total mess. Now today I log in and guess what????? 2 more FU**** disk have failed I mean really? Currently just leaving it as is as there must be a underlying issue here that I cannot find. Only things to note is my UPS keeps also reporting 0 minutes in unRAID and Battery low when it is fully charges for some reason not sure if that is a problem? I have taken the hard drives and put them directly into the Motherboard sata controllers and same result. Swapped out sata cables. Removed all of my molex to sata splitters and got proper sata extenders by cable matters. 3. Hi, No never found a solution I do not use unRAID like that anymore I have gone back to having 2 systems and also no longer have that keyboard. I think unRAID is better with VM/s and passthrough in general but I would still not do it again as it takes up to much time troubleshooting
  4. This can be marked as resolved the 2 WD 8TB Shucked drives in my ICYBOX are now running without fault. Server has been up for 6 days without a problem.
  5. Finished 1 pass on each disk all good as expected. Added both back in the array the parity Sync finished this morning as I set off to work. If this goes past 3-4 days the issue will be resolved. Will keep this post active for another week
  6. Thanks for the reply @johnnie.black. I have now taken the drives out and put them into my IcyDock 5.25to3.5" bay. Both currently doing a 7 pass Preclear. Will report on progress. Just for context the drive power on hours. WDC WD80EZAZ-11TDBA0 - 3m, 29d, 23h WDC WD80EZAZ-11TDBA0 - 9d, 4h So i know the drives are good and the S.M.A.R.T report is also good.
  7. Hello fellow unRAID'ers! So back in June I bit the bullet and got myself 2 WD mybooks 8TB and they we're the white label drives running the WD Red firmware. Shucked and Chucked them in my server and they ran fine for about 3 months then one kept failing. I would take it out the array to run a pre clear, It would pass so I just kept putting it back into the array. Eventually gave up and did an RMA. New drive arrived last week and after 3 Pre Clear runs it was good to put in. 2 days of use it started to fail and my other Shucked drive as well. I am out of ideas now! Currently I also have a problem with a WD Yellow 6 TB Enterprise drive that passed Pre Clear but fails on the array that one is SDE but my 2 problem Shucked drives are Disk 3 which is missing but is in unassigned drives under SDO and then disk 8 which is SDP. I have also moved both these disk from my Dell h310 to the onboard Sata ports same result. Diagnostics attached. I am doing to take both drives out tonight and test in my Windows PC. Setup. 8. Been experiencing random Kernal panics not knowing what is causing it. Finally tailed my syslog to get a capture when it crashed and got it. I think this might be related to this container not 100% sure as i have also recently switched to a new system. Crash attached below and it is the "FFMPEG" that gets my attention. Although this crash is different to my others currently running a memtest will let it run over night. System was up for 10 minutes before it crashed and my unmatic container is configured to scan every 5 minutes so this happened just after the scan. 9. I have updated to the latest version and just 2 things to report. 1. I do my conversions folder by folder at the moment (/Mnt/usr/series/Show to convert) and then "edit" the container to the next show when it is done (/Mnt/usr/series/Show to convert). Each time the container starts up it goes back to the default settings it is not persistent. 2. When changing something in the settings and then clicking "Submit" my browser goes to http://192.168.0.4:8899/settings/?step=general with the page below. I then manually need to remove the "/?step=general" to get back to the settings GUI Apart from that my poor Threadripper has been crying for a week while my disk free disk space keeps going up 🙂
  10. First of all I found this by looking at setting up Spaceinvaders Handbrake/Sonarr/Radarr Video but luckily I found this as with a 50+ TB library Handbraking current items will take a long time and be one hell of a tedious manual process so thank you Josh.5 for making this. Just finished my first folder as you can see from the attachments(24 series) the before and after results are amazing with video quality perfect. I do however have some comments/Recommendation about what this app has done for me not sure if anyone else has also mentioned this before so sorry if I am repeating stuff. My settings appear to not be persistent on a app restart ? After every restart of the app(changing template settings by changing series folder and allocating more cores) the settings go to default. On my unRAID dashboard the UNMATIC container does not have the image I just have a ? logo When clicking on the container can you add the function to go to "Webui" like other containers as I also do not have this ? When adding the container I did not have any variables to fill in I had to manually add this ? Might have just been the way I did it? (Copy the full URL from docker site and pasted it into the "Add container" button on unRAID). Some way to warn or tell people to allocate cores as it will just spank everything to 100% After changing folder from 24(Which is now complete) to the next series my "Completed tasks" are now blank again ? Add option for pending tasks to be moved up and down (Higher and lower priority)? Add a Fu**ing donation button I owe you a beer! Keep up the good work.
  11. Also just did this from 6.7.2 to go back to 6.6.7 due to the slowdowns and 100% CPU utilization problems. Seems to work but i do miss the 6.7 GUI 😞
  12. Hi @Josue H, I have a very similar card to the one you got/want to get. Currently in a snag with it just posted in another thread if you want to follow or let me know if yours worked ? https://forums.unraid.net/topic/72738-drivers-for-broadcom-dell-network-cards/
  13. Hi all, Resurrecting this post from almost a year ago 😊. I just purchased a Dell Broadcom 57810 10GB duel nic and in the same situation as above. Below you can see my NetXtreme II BCM57810 in IOMMU Group 10 and my onboard duel 1GB nic's in group 13 & 14. So UNraid can see the new card. Problem is they just keep showing up as interface down Eth0 & 1 is set to the new 10GB card Eth 2 & 3 is set to the onboard 1GB card My log is currently being flooded with this. BNX2x is my 1 10GB port Attached is my diagnostics please help 😜 mufasa-diagnostics-20190629-2306.zip
  14. 192.168.0.4 i made it different for this container. I also use my network with LAG 802.3AD not sure if that can cause a problem?
  15. Hi All, I am having some trouble with the SteamCacheBundle container. I have it setup and it is working but not giving me internet (UPSTREAM_DNS) unless i put the alternate DNS in myself(IPV4 settings in Windows) it is not picking it up from the container. On my Windows PC this appears to be OK as i can see me getting items to cache when downloading but on my router it bypasses the Cache and goes to the alternate(Secondary). What am i doing wrong ? Here is my container setup And here is my current Router setup (It is a Vodafone Router in the UK) If i remove the Secondary i loose internet and all web pages display "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG" And i did do a ipconfig /release followed by /flushdns and /renew TIA
  16. Bump & Update, What i have done, -removed the Steelseries drivers -passed through one of my MB's USB3 controllers -changed the Power settings to performance. -Upgraded unRAID to 6.4 -Flashed MB BIOS to latest version. (MSI X99 Tomahawk) -Installed Creators update. Still disconnects but now i can unplug it and plug it back in to carry on through the passed through USB Controller. My mouse also freezes every 2 minutes or so and then carry's on as normal. Keyboard will disconnect for 2/3 seconds then carry on sometimes when i am typing it will spam the last button presses while it is in the "disconnected" state. Not sure if unRAID is the fault? Windows? Motherboard? (As MB is new) HELP?
  17. Hi @CorneliousJD, I have similar problem with my Windows 10 Gaming VM. When connected to USB 2 or 3 my Keyboard keeps disconnecting and only way is to shut the VM down them boot it back up. My mouse also stutters in Windows it will be OK then freeze for a few seconds then carry on. I have changed my power settings to performance and put the USB devices not to sleep. Also now passed through one of my USB 3 controllers that also has a USB type c on the same IOMMMU group. Connect everything to them now same results but this time i can just plug it out and back in to continue using the VM no need to reboot. Not ideal as this happens every 2 minutes +- I have a post in the KVM section My post also has my machine Spec and i am running 6.4 Let me know what you do to resolve this as it is P*****g me off

  19. Hi, I looked on the forum and cannot get a relating article on this. I have a Windows 10 Gaming VM on unRAID that works perfectly apart from my keyboard will disconnect randomly. Scenario is, Boot up VM everything works 5 minutes to 60 minutes later windows plays the device disconnect sound and my keyboard is gone(no response). Nothing i do by means or plugging it out and in resolved this only a reboot of the VM not unRAID. Currently i have it plugged into my front panel and it has been OK but would like to know the cause. Keyboard is SteelSeries Apex M800 which requires 2x USB ports to power and it also has 2 usb ports for devices and i am thinking this is the problem? unRAID does not recognize these extra ports on the keyboard (Build in hub) for example when i plug a USB watch or phone into it unRAID does not pick them up. Below is my system log when it disconnects, Jan 20 20:53:14 BigGreen kernel: hid-generic 0003:1038:1600.000F: hiddev96,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Device [SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-10.3.1/input0 Jan 20 20:53:14 BigGreen kernel: input: SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-10/3-10.3/3-10.3.1/3-10.3.1:1.1/0003:1038:1600.0010/input/input15 Jan 20 20:53:14 BigGreen kernel: hid-generic 0003:1038:1600.0010: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-10.3.1/input1 Jan 20 20:53:14 BigGreen kernel: input: SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-10/3-10.3/3-10.3.1/3-10.3.1:1.2/0003:1038:1600.0011/input/input16 Jan 20 20:53:15 BigGreen kernel: hid-generic 0003:1038:1600.0011: input,hidraw2: USB HID v1.11 Mouse [SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-10.3.1/input2 Jan 20 20:53:15 BigGreen kernel: input: SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-10/3-10.3/3-10.3.1/3-10.3.1:1.3/0003:1038:1600.0012/input/input17 Jan 20 20:53:15 BigGreen kernel: hid-generic 0003:1038:1600.0012: input,hidraw3: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [SteelSeries SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-10.3.1/input3 Jan 20 20:53:17 BigGreen kernel: usb 3-10.1.1: reset full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd Jan 20 20:53:17 BigGreen kernel: usb 3-10.1.1: reset full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd Below is my VM XML <domain type='kvm'> <name>JP&apos;s Gaming PC</name> <uuid>18fd7f4b-80f9-9908-2f8d-797b106d2312</uuid> <metadata> <vmtemplate xmlns="unraid" name="Windows 10" icon="windows.png" os="windows10"/> </metadata> <memory unit='KiB'>8388608</memory> <currentMemory unit='KiB'>8388608</currentMemory> <memoryBacking> <nosharepages/> </memoryBacking> <vcpu placement='static'>7</vcpu> <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='1'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='7'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='8'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='3'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='9'/> <vcpupin vcpu='5' cpuset='5'/> <vcpupin vcpu='6' cpuset='11'/> </cputune> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-i440fx-2.9'>hvm</type> <loader readonly='yes' type='pflash'>/usr/share/qemu/ovmf-x64/OVMF_CODE-pure-efi.fd</loader> <nvram>/etc/libvirt/qemu/nvram/18fd7f4b-80f9-9908-2f8d-797b106d2312_VARS-pure-efi.fd</nvram> </os> <features> <acpi/> <apic/> <hyperv> <relaxed state='on'/> <vapic state='on'/> <spinlocks state='on' retries='8191'/> <vendor_id state='on' value='none'/> </hyperv> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough' check='none'> <topology sockets='1' cores='7' threads='1'/> </cpu> <clock offset='localtime'> <timer name='hypervclock' present='yes'/> <timer name='hpet' present='no'/> </clock> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/local/sbin/qemu</emulator> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/user/domains/JP&apos;s Gaming PC/vdisk1.img'/> <target dev='hdc' bus='virtio'/> <boot order='1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x04' function='0x0'/> </disk> <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <source file='/mnt/user/isos/Windows 10 - 20. Selling my unRAID core components as it is time for an upgrade. Good starting point for someone on a budget as this has 14 Sata connectors also runs 15 dockers for me and 2 VM's without a problem. You get, SUPERMICRO X8DTL-3F DUAL SOCKET INTEL LGA1366 GENUINE HP 24GB (6X4GB) PC3-10600R DDR3 1333 Reg ECC MATCHED PAIR INTEL XEON X5650 2.66GHZ 6 core CPU ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 Due to time constraints i have had to put it on eBay so if you want it go place a bid it is UK postage only https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202170977221?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  21. I got it all back up and running now. Thank you to everyone who advised me where to go the 6.4.0 update surely messed up my LE docker. This is where i am now with my settings for anyone else who has issues Settings - Identification - SSL Certificate settings Use SSL - Auto HTTP - 8080 HTTPS - 400 now access uunRAID GUI with serverrname:8080 in the settings when you expand the SSL section it reads this line below so i put my cert in but not sure if it makes a difference. "A Lets Encrypt or other user-generated SSL certificate, must be stored in the file /boot/config/ssl/csrts/certificate_bundle.pem. nginx will prefer ths certificate if present." I run 2 NIC's so my LE docker runs as Host with port 80 & 443 with those ports also forwarded on my router. I did try and run the container with br0 setting for network type however it only assigns the IP when the container runs and it did not stay running for long enough to get the cert and with my stup** vodafone router i have to map ports to an IP or device so it basically just did not work for me. Should work if you have a decent router unlike me. Finally i switched from NO-IP to DUCKDNS and i had to manually update my IP as DUCKDNS did not so to do that just use this URL. https://www.duckdns.org/update/domainname/token
  22. This explains why the container started when i switched from "host" to "br0" thank you.
  23. Correct me if i am wrong here @bonienl. Are you saying i can assign a different IP to Letsencrypt and not worry about the port problems? for example my UNraid runs on 192.168.1.2 and i can assign 192.168.1.3 for letsencrypt? is this in the "edit" template of the docker then?
  24. @MowMdown - if i left it at 6.3.0 i would have been OK then? Thank you for the info @aptalca & @ijuarez i will go and test it all again tonight after work as i got a error last night on letsencrypt for to many cert renewal attempts. On a side note i had to change the network type from host to Br0 to stop the 443 error(got 2 nic's). will reply once sorted with what i have done.
  25. Hi, I was using Letsencrypt for about 4 months then had to reset my router and remap my ports and with some extra fiddling around (updated to beta version) I broke it all. Currently having to set it all back up again however i cannot get the docker to start and not sure why. I am running latest 6.4.0 beta release rc11i and i did read some letsencrypt SSL renewal stuff but here is my container log. It keeps saying something else is using port 443 but nothing else is and i can change the port to anything it still says 443 is being used. please help? [cont-init.d] 10-adduser: exited 0. Ports are mapped correctly on the router and i use no-ip (ddns.net) also checked ports are open Any help will be appreciated.
