Hi,
In front of each of the names of my user shares, I have an orange triangle indicating that I'm not protected.
What parameter should I adjust ?
And another question, "Compute all" button is for what?
Thank,

Often I lose connection with my Hoobs.
When I open the application, the devices don't appear.
Is there a server setting to change?
Thank,

After checking, I interchanged the SATA cables of the parity and of disk 1 ... this one was disconnected on the motherboard.
Thank.

Hi,
I just added a new hard drive (sdh in unassigned) to copy disk 1.
But, disk 1 no longer appears... is missing in the array.
What is my best choice ?
Thank,
-
😬 it seems complicated and an error can be fatal.
In addition, the array is not accessible during this manipulation.
How can I be on the hard drive numbers / identification?

Yes, there were errors, so parity isn't 100% valid, best bet to recover the most amount of data and to be able to identity the corrupt files is to use ddrescue like I mentioned earlier.
What is the best command to run ?
ddrescue --force... ??

Were there errors on disk1 during the parity sync?
Yes, the errors have appeared before.

Disk7 remove fro array : ✅
Parity disk remplaced : ✅
Parity disk rebuilded : ✅
Now, for the disk1 with errors, Is it better to add a new disc, copy the contents and redo a new configuration?by replacing disk1 with the new one?
With this method, could I identify corrupt files?
Or do I remove disk1, replace it with the new one, and let the system rebuild it?
Thank,
-
I kill the process and is ok now.
I have remove the disk7 from the array and change the parity drive.
I make a new config, and tonight rebuild the parity drive.
With your help, everything is under control...
Thank,
-
I tried stop the Array.
and the server keeps indicating "retry unmounting user share(s)" and the array don't stop !
-
Or first, remove the disk7 from the array and make the new configuration ?
-
Do I shut down my server, remove disk7 and replace the parity before doing the new configuration?
-
I had errors on the parity. I did a SMART test and everything is ok.
In the New config - Preserve current assignments, which one should I choose ?
None
All
Parity disk
Data slots
Cache slots
Thank,
-
Thank,
Currently, I'm copying the data to the other disks.
But after, how I remove disk7 completely from the array ?

Don't understand what you mean, if you mean the emulated disk7 it's still part of the array, if you mean the old disk it will have whatever data it was there.
When I connect to disk7 with Krusader, is there data from yesterday on it, but it's been several months since I took it out of the array.

In doubt, I checked my disk 7 ... Why is there new data if it's not part of the array?
-
What's the exactly best way to do it ? (remove disk7, change parity 1 and disk 1)
1- Stop the server and change parity drive (should I change it right now ?)
2- Start the server
3- Stop the Array
4- Use Tools - New config
5- In the New config - Preserve current assignments, which one should I choose ?
- None
- All
- Parity disk
- Data slots
- Cache slots
6- Should I replace the parity disk first, or at this moment ? or remove disk 7 from the array ?
I'm lost for the logical order without losing any data...
Thank for your help.
-
Yes, but if a make a new config, I lost all my data ?
Or how exactly I can proceed ?
Thank,
-
I have a lot of information, I don't want to lose it all
-
How can I replace the parity disk and disk 1, which have errors. And remove disk 7 from my array?
-
It is disabled and it has nothing on it.
Can I just remove it?
-
So am I waiting for more errors?
Do I reactivate disk 7?
