  1. Ok, the mover worked last night at 3.40am as expected. WebGui still shows Monthly/Sunday… I further investigated this and /etc/cron.d contents are: # Generated mover schedule: 40 3 * * * /usr/local/sbin/mover |& logger Final test was to restart the server (there they go my 3 days uptime ). Settings > Share Settings > Mover Settings now show the correct settings (daily at 3.40am). So I guess this is just a pure cosmetic (although misleading ) issue.
  2. I believe this is a bug. I can reproduce it 100% of the time. in Settings > Share Settings > Mover Settings, I have scheduled a daily mover running at 3.40am (default) if I invoke from there the mover by clicking on 'Move now', settings automatically change to Monthly/Sunday/01/01:00. Reloading the page keeps showing this new settings. I have to save again the default settings (daily at 3.40am) so the page shows this parameters. PS: I've left the settings at Monthly/Sunday/01/01:00 to check whether it actually moves the files and this is just a 'cosmetic' issue. I'll report back tomorrow

  4. When I came home my server had a red ball in one of the disks (disk 1). I stopped the array, and it wasn't detected, so it should be dead, right? I then took out the disk (norco 4224 case) and put it back. And then, like magic, it was detected again (maybe something got loose?). I run a short SMART test and it passed, so started the array again. But the dreadful red ball indicating a disable disk was still there. I re-started the server (btw, is a virtual machine in ESXi), but the red ball is still there. So I'm puzzled... What should I do? Is the disk really disabled? I can access disk 1 through /mnt/disk1, does this mean anything? And why does it pass the smart test but then is disabled in unraid? syslog.txt
  5. I know this has been brought up before... Why don't install a bug tracker system (bugzilla and mantis come to mind)? Following open issues in this thread is becoming ridiculous, not only for users, but also and especially for tom Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  6. How is that no one asked this before? Thanx guys Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I might be very risk adverse (and unlucky) , but after having 5 drives failing of a total of 14 in the last 2 years (and yes, they were brand new), i never put a drive in my array without at least 5 preclear cycles, and that's when I'm in a hurry. I had my latest WD Green 2T running 10 cycles in a row (200hrs). This might be too much, but the way I see it, preclear is free (meaning you don't have to invest any time sitting down in front of your computer and worrying about data loss) but if your array fail, the stress and time you will put into it, it's just not worthy. My 2 cents An over cautious guy Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Thanks a lot betaquasi, great to have all this together! Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I'm having this warning message in my syslog, could someone chip in? 3568: Mar 9 12:34:16 Hercules mountd[13480]: NFS v4 mounts will be disabled unless fsid=0 PS: I'm in RC10, I don't know if this is v5 related though

  12. Did you try ttyS0? Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Ok, it detects the serial port. In the PM you sent me you chose ttyS1 instead of ttyS0, any reason for that? Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  14. try dmesg | grep ttyS This is my output: vi-admin@helios:~> dmesg | grep ttyS [ 0.421679] serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A [ 0.421990] serial8250: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A [ 0.422481] 00:09: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A [ 0.422796] 00:0a: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
  15. Choose option 2, this should be it. It shouldn't ask later on for smart signalling

  18. I should have given more info... I've successfully rmaed in Spain WD drives bought in the US. Right now I'm trying to do the same with a Seagate Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Check with them. I know WD will but limiting to a max number of drives per year. I guess it'll also depends on where you are Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
