Hi! I'm going to try later Unraid this weekend. Should I go with XFS or BTRFS for my array? I've recently had done experience with BTRFS using Rockstor but that wasn't able to put a single drive off an array to sleep and only wake up the drive reading from. Hi! I think i will post a thread with all my questions regarding unraid later today but this question should be cleared without any problems. Is it possible to add an external USB HDD to an unraid array. I don´t need and won´t use parity. I just need a JBOD. If not is it possible to mount that USB HDD and bind it to the the system for sharing? Thx in advance! b0mb Edit: Ok! Hi! What´s the procedure to migrate my EXT4 formatted HD`s into Unraid if i decide to give it a try? In Rockstor for xmpl it is possible to mount the EXT4 partitions and copy the Data using Midnight Commander from device to device. Thx! b0mb

Hi! I´m thinking about giving Unraid Server a try on my hardware. My is not running 24/7 and don´t need any kind of raid. So is it possible to build just an array of disks to something like a jbod where i can set every single drive into standby for saving energy? Rockstor ist very nice for handling this but i can´t set all drives except the one acutally used into standby mode. OMV with mergerfs does work but takes to much CPU power. So is there any possible solution using unraid? I´ve read that unraid provides kind of autoshut down plugin using dynamix plugins which i also appreciate. Thx! b0mb
