  1. WTF .. lol no one doing what I am doing No responses on this ... 🙂 Update on the matter though and I am scratching my head on this one. Both Bonds are setup the same way, yet the first Bond0, my mac addresses are seen on my switch at L2 and the Bond3 the mac addresses are seen at L3. This is not right.... They should both be seen at L3. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I am curios, to which incompatibility issues are you referring too? If you do your homework before purchasing you remove any incompatibility issues. I have been running servers/workstations with Intel and with AMD and never ran into incompatibility issues both from an operating system and application standpoint. I have two unraid servers, one running Intel and the other AMD and both run without flaws.. both with native hardware.
  3. So when will someone start a class action suit against Intel. Seriously. If you purchase a processor for a certain performance / dollar value you expect it to be what you purchased? Now with the patches in regards to the list of vulnerabilities in the last couple of years there can easily be a 30% performance decrease. Which means the performance / dollar is no longer being respected. Seeing that Intel charges the big price for their processors it would be about time that they pay back their customers! I am a big fan of AMD but they fell behind in terms of performance. But seeing that the performance will now be at par with Intel, after patch installs, and the cost being cheaper... I think I will be going back to them.
  4. Hello everyone, I have an issue that is driving me nuts. I have 2 interfaces located on the network and 1 Quad on a PCIE. One of my local network interfaces is used for the management of unraid set on eth0. eth0 is set on network 192.168.1.0/26 (255.255.255.192) -- 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.62 (63 is broadcast) (THESE ARE NOT MY REAL ADDRESSES) eth0 has an ip of 192.168.1.15 --- GATEWAY is 192.168.1.1 I have Bond1 set on eth1 and eth2. Bond1 has no address but does have an assigned VLAN - 500. Bond1 is set on network 192.168.1.64/26 (255.255.255.192) --- 192.168.1.64-192.168.1.127 (127 is broadcast) Bond1 has an ip of 192.168.1.66 --- GATEWAY is 192.168.1.65 I have Bond3 set on eth3 and eth4. Bond3 has no address but does have an assigned VLAN - 600. Bond3 is set on network 192.168.1.128/26 (255.255.255.192) --- 192.168.1.128-192.168.1.191 (191 is broadcast) Bond1 has an ip of 192.168.1.130--- GATEWAY is 192.168.1.129 Bond1 and Bond3 are set to 802.3AD (LAG interfaces). The switch configurations are set the same way and the LAG is set to LACP and the ports are TAGGED with the right VLANS. Both BONDS have bridged enabled. Whenever I reboot the system Eth0 and Bond3 come up and work. The switch shows the LAG interfaces of Bond3 come up with no issues. However Bond1 is not coming up and not showing as the LAG being up. I need to bring down the intefaces eth1 and eth2 and then back up for it to work. Now I have access to that network. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. If I need to dump the config file let me know but I will need to obfuscate the addresses. Thanks. UPDATE: UnRaid version Version: 6.7.0-rc7 If I change the metric on Bond1 then the lag interfaces come up and I am able to communicate to dockers on that network. 🙂
  5. Hello everyone, has any one installed this on their unraid server ? Would be nice that this be native in unraid! I would like to configure my dockers with certain security settings. The easiest way I found is adding specific containers I am worried about security in their own vlan. Have an IPS running if something weird. Thanks all
  6. So I have two unraid servers; one of them is exhibiting the issue above. When I add to AD the dashboard has issues. I remove it from AD and it comes back. The other is Joined to AD (see image) and the dashboard is not having an issue!?? This is a weird one.
  7. So I have SMB and NFS enabled and I do not get this behavior under this circumstance. I only have it when I change the display setting to Azure or something else. Dashboard with bug This is what it should be: The only way to get it back is to redo the original setup. Unraid 6.7.0 rc7

    Dashboard bug

So I had to do a new USB and restoring from backups in order to get the dashboard back. Right now if I go in settings and change it to azure or anything else and then bring it back to default I loose my dashboard which permits me to acknowledge disks, etc... you can see the image will make it easier to understand: Dashboard with bug This is what it should be: The only way to get it back is to redo the original setup. Anyone else having this issue? Unraid 6.7.0 rc7 Thanks.

  13. So here is my issue and I believe this may be a bug in version 6.7.0-rc7. I have a quad card which I setup 2 interfaces in vLAN500 (eth1,eth2) and the other pair on vLAN600 (eth3,eth4). Each are setup with 802.3ad. The bondings are bond1 and the other bond3. When I setup the Bonding and the interfaces everything works perfectly. eth2 shows pairing with mac of eth1 and eth4 shows pairing with mac of eth3. The minute I reboot, bond1 never comes up. After looking at possible suspects I finally saw the issue, the eth2 mac is not binding on eth1 but on it's own mac. This should not be happening. Please advise if anyone had this issue and if resolved or any other possible paths I can try. Thanks
  14. So update: New casing - RSV-L4500 (Roswell 4u) - Replaced all three fan cagess with Rosewill RSV-SATA-Cage-34 Added the new SAS9211-8I 8PORT controller Added the new motherboard - Intel i7-6700k on a Gigabyte Z170 Moved the disk from the old system to the new ... Moved the Unraid USB to the new system and then booted!! Voila everything working as it should not one issue!! I am impressed. Now to the next step. I want to keep my data.. I have a backup of my dockers. I want to reset the OS (as some small error messages like modprobe for unexisting device) as if I am starting from scratch and then reinstall my dockers and then recover from the backups. Apart from the dockers, which is easy to do, is the best step to create a new USB stick with unraid and then dump the license file ? Thanks all for your support.
  15. Thanks everyone for the input, well here is the latest to this story. As the motherboard I have doesn't have enough pcie slots to support the new LSI card, and the fact that I just replaced my desktop with a new system, I have an Intel i7-6700k on a Gigabyte Z170 as a spare. So I purchased a new rackmount case and an iStarUSA BPN-DE350SS. I will be setting the motherboard into the new case and recovering the 2x5 disks array from old case to give me a 15 disk system. My question is the following: What is the migration path for this? Do I just stick the unraid usb into the new system and place the disks? I would think this is not the best path? My other option is start from scratch and add the license key to the new usb? Flag the system with a new config to have the parity disks rebuilt with the information that are on the disks. Is this the proper way to go? Are both options viable? Thanks for your help on this.
