This bug exists for nearly a year. Maybe it is now on the bottom of the priority debug list (or the bin😪)

No update since mid-May. Quite disappointed.

I hope they can fix the problem shortly, but I don't think they can. From the ONLY response from limetech on 21 May, I don't think they really know what the problem is and what is the root cause. Maybe they are bust dealing with other critical bugs, no other responses on this bug. Maybe there are only a small group of users using this USB 2.5Gb NIC. I reported the problem on 8156 USB NIC, but they just said maybe there is a problem in the another working 8125 NIC in my unRAID server. (I need to take out the m.2 SSD cache disk to install the mPCIe version of 8125 NIC) Quite disappointed cause several versions of 6.10 were released, but the problem has not been fixed.

Just upgraded to 6.10.2, my RTL8156 USB 2.5G NIC still not working. @zoggy My 8125 NIC (PCI device 0x10ec:0x8125 (r8169)), it run at 2.5GB FULL speed (nearly 300MB/s when I copying file to unRAID's SSD cache). BTW, this bug report is on RTL8156 USB 2.5GB NIC. For your problem in 8125, is it better to write a new bug report?

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes. Because the RTL8156 USB is not working. I installed a miniPCIe version of RTL8125 2.5GB NIC. (Total 4 NIC installed in server, 2 onboard R8169 NICs, 1 miniPCIe RTL8125 NIC and 1 USB RTL8156 NIC) I don't know RTL8125 used r8169 cause the UnRAID showing the speed at 2.5Gb speed and I can get a speed of nearly 270MB/s when I copying files to it. So I am sure my RTL8125 is running at 2.5Gb. Don't know what is the relationship between the the loading of r8169 driver in my RTL8125 and the missing RTL8156 USB NIC.

Good to know that they will finally fix it. 👍 Cause the problem was already reported six months ago (since 6.10 rc3). Don't know why they take so long to fix it 😑

I was a happy user of RTL8156 2.5Gb USB NIC (with around 280MB/s connection). However, since I upgraded to 6.10 rc3, unRAID cannot recognize it anymore and I have to switch back to slow on-board 1Gb NIC and the connection speed was decrease to around 120MB/s.. People here said the driver for RTL8156 were removed since rc3 and has already request limetech to add it back. So I wait and try rc4, rc5 and now rc7, the driver is still missing in the build. May I know why not to do so? And please put it back in future build.

After using unRAID for a long period and installed several plugin, I found that sometimes my unRAID (RC12a) become not that stable. Is there any safe way to uninstall all plug-in and keeping my existing configuration / disk assignment ?

Problem in email Notification In SMTP setup, I use "[email protected]" as sender email. In Email Script Setup, I use "[email protected]" as recipients email. But the problem is, I only received both testing email and notification email in my "[email protected]". They should go to "[email protected]", but they didn't. ---- From the syslog, the recipients address is correct "[email protected]" But from the log in my mail server, the recipients address is the same as sender address "[email protected]" Any hints for me to fix the problem?

I am using ECS A885GM-A2 Motherboard with Realtek 8111DL. Should I use this R8168 version? Is it better to list out all Realtek chipset that covered by the R8168 version in the release note? Cause there are so many different version of Realtek LAN chipset.

I just upgrade my unRAID server with a new motherboard (ECS A885GM-A2 v1.1) and the OS from b14 to rc4 (w/ SimpleFeature installed). I found that when the system under heavy disk activity like Drive Rebuild or Parity Check, I have difficulty in access the the web interface. (404 error) Sometimes I need to retry lots of time or wait until the Drive Rebuild or Parity Check was completed. Sometimes even the Drive Rebuild or Parity Check was completed, I still cannot access the Web Interface. In addition, sometimes I can access the Web Interface in one PC, but cannot access it in another PC on the same network. Since the new board was recommended by many other users, is it a new problem in rc4? Any solution?

I used MV8 with version 4.7 up to 5.0rc4 now (nearly every version in between), never have a problem.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. The problem is that I am in Hong Kong, a place without supermicro support, so I think RMA is not a possible option. Just test the RAID one in my test board with RC4, it can boot up and unRAID can detect all individual harddisk. But I did not run a parity test cause it don't have a heat sink and the chip is quiet hot. Maybe I get a heat sink myself and install it on the chip and test it.

Just bought 2 SASLP-MV8 from Amazon but I found that 2 cards were different. Both card were marked AOC-SASLP-MV8 Rev 1.01 w/ BIOS .21 but there are some differences Card A - with Heat Sink, RAID MODE : JBOD in BIOS, holes in PCB in the location without component were empty Card B - without Heat Sink, RAID MODE : RAID0, RAID1, RAID10 in BIOS, holes in PCB in the location without component were filled with solder I tried to flash Card B to .21 again, or back to .15 and then .21, it still in RAID0, RAID1, RAID10 mode Question 1) Is it OK to use both card together (with different RAID mode in BIOS) in same unRAID system (I will use it in my second system with ECS A885GM v1.1 and a 24bay 4U Case) 2) Is it OK to run card B 7x24 without heat sink? (Anyone bought one before without heatsink?) 3) Is there any method to switch the RAID mode back to JBOD mode? (both 2 card in my first system were inJBOD mode) Thanks a lot in advance.

Without any lines related to this activity in the syslog, it is not easy to count the number of sec between each incident. -------------------- Anyway I solved the problem by upgrading the system from 4.7 to 5.0b6. After the upgrade, the problem disappear.
