    I am having a very similar issue myself as far as problem description goes with getting a Ubuntu VM stable. My Windows 10 seems stable with CPU passthrough. I found this concerning the above error messages: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2016-June/msg00413.html I decided that these were ok. Seems the VM driver is interrogating the CPU to figure out what its capabilities are.
