I'm looking to potential buy and test a new nas smb board:
https://www.friendlyelec.com/index.php?route=product%2Fproduct&product_id=294
I'm curious if the emmc could be flashed to unraid as a usb boot device.
i've seen raspberry pi 3b board run unraid before in the past and talked about... but not sure if current 6.12 is capable.
Either way i think this would be a cool project to test. Was looking to know if there is arm support in the kernel.have a cm4 may try that as well but this looks promising to have 4 nvme disk and a decent arm processor to run.
Unraid is x86 not arm unless was running under qemu not sure how it was running on a pi

it disables the iGPU when another GPU is installed
Yes you will need to set the igpu to be active, if you install a dGPU the iGPU will be disabled.

Opening up an old topic discussed here a couple of years ago -
I am looking to expose 2 serial ports to a VM. I am moving from a dedicated windows machine into a VM. The dedicated machine is using an EdgePort 416. I did try plugging that in and trying to access it through the USB Manager but with 16 serial ports and 4 USB ports it was too much to figure out. It looks like the USB Manager kept cycling and finding the ports and then losing the ports.
But since my needs are quite simple - I thought I would just go and purchase two USB serial converters and plug them in. Are there any recommendations that have worked for others? Thanks.

I currently have an intel i5 14500 cpu which has an iGPU but also have an Nvidia GPU in my machine. I am trying to work out which render number correlates to which gpu. I would “assume” because I added the nvidia gpu later it would be renderD129 and the intel is renderD128. Is my assumption correct or is there a way to be 100% sure. I’d like to use the intel iGPU for things like Plex, jellfyfin but for file flows / tdarr I’d like to use the nvidia card.

@SimonF Did you ever look into adding seperate hi and low temps for when cpu is used when hdd's are spun down?
Do you mean adding an options for HDD spundown sensor as well as the primary in this view?

Hey @SimonF I decided to upgrade to 6.13 beta1 but noticed your php wrapper and bash script isn't there. Is that going to be in beta2? Just curious so I comment those lines out when I upgrade. I modified my go file to not copy rust virtiofsd but it looks like I still have to manually copy your bash script and php wrapper for now.
Yes not in 1 will be in next vers.

Ok, so if I shutdown, pull the flash and nuke those, it should restore access?
Or can I log in from the console (physically) and remove those files?
Like I can't get to it from anything...
Yes you can get to those via the console, I don't know enough about wireguard to say what needs to be removed @ljm42 may be able to suggest options.

So, like a moron, I made a change remotely to my Wireguard VPN and now I'm locked out of access to my server.
Is there a way to disable / delete the VPN via the configs on the flash drive?
I feel like an idiot.
Configs are here
root@computenode:~# ls /boot/config/wireguard/
peers/ wg0.cfg wg0.conf wg1.conf

I also set the VM with /mnt/user/ as shared in the VM configuration, but not seeing it, either.
You have to mount this within the vm.
See this thread. Was it 9p or virtiofs?

Hey Simon, i appreciate your work on this tool, i love that it works out of the box on both my motherboard and SAS enclosure
is there any chance you plan on supporting a second IPMI connection any time in the future? i have a Supermicro H11-SSL EPYC system with my storage in a supermicro CSE-847 SAS enclosure that also supports IPMI and i would love the option of having monitoring for both on the dashboard.
Was not looking to provide a second source as no one has requested before. But I will look to see if easy to implement. Would it just be the sensors?

, I cannot run the VM via VNC anymore, the option is gone I can only run "VM console(VNC)", which tells me "Guest has not initialized the display (yet)".
I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean the remote viewer option is missing?
if so do you have it enabled in sttings?

ok, current state on the VM Mashine is
root@AlsServer:~# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/WOL4Services/include/WOLrun.php "52:54:00:1a:60:97" Found 52:54:00:1a:60:97 VM AlsPC Suspend disk Domain 'AlsPC' successfully suspended root@AlsServer:~#
so this worked out as it should
now i try to send a wol ...
i started the VM again, and send a wol request, my expectation, it should also suspend now, but after this log message ... nothing happens
so, manually triggereing the php call works, but triggered by wol it doesnt
Have you tried disabling and then re enable service

Did you change the option in settings to use Power Management Suspend? defaults to Pause. i.e. Suspend.
You can use this run manually. arg is the MAC if power suspend is enabled you should get the message below.

Saved me! Was stuck cause my bindings changed when I added a new PCIe card.
Is it reasonable to request a feature where you can force disable autostart to all VMs from the VM settings to avoid this situation when there are hardware changes?
Option has been added to the next release for this.

I opened up the fsab file with nano. I've never done this before so I'm not sure what the exact line I should add looks like.
To mount the partition add a line in the fstab with the source name and the directory you want to mount it. In this example we mount the directory exported from /home/shared, that will be called home_shared. It will be mounted in the path /mnt/shared inside the virtual machine.
This line in the file
home_shared /mnt/shared virtiofs rw,relatime 0 0

I just realized I have one more related question. How would I keep the connection to share persistent across reboots?
Add the mount in /etc/fstab

Do you have a console keymap set to German? Have you tried with no keymap?
